A Flat-Chest Believer Reincarnated in a World Where Women with Small Breasts Aren't Treated as Women ~ I Ended Up with a Flat-Chested Harem. - Chapter 27
Our new life with Risty had started smoothly.
As for me, things were mostly the same as before: supplying “Holy Water,” handling administrative tasks, training in magic, and occasionally crafting glassware.
Risty, on the other hand, continued her work of healing using Holy magic, much like she did when we were in the royal capital.
However, requesting healing from the First Princess wasn’t something that could be done lightly. The criteria were strict—it was reserved for nobles of the Rolique Kingdom or allied nations, and it required an appropriate sum of money. Given that she was the only one in the kingdom capable of healing certain conditions such as limb loss, blindness, or internal organ diseases, people had no choice but to seek her out as a last resort.
As a result, Risty didn’t receive many requests. In the future, she would likely take on more responsibilities within the Gustique family, but for now, she had a lot of free time.
With that free time, Risty had become practically inseparable from The Lab, spending her days experimenting with Kudell. Since Risty could also use earth magic, she could help with metalwork, and she could even supply electricity through her lightning magic. With her around, The Lab had become much livelier.
As for our nights together, things were going just as smoothly. We continued our marital activities every other day. Having your desires consistently fulfilled is a kind of happiness I hadn’t fully appreciated until now. My heart felt lighter, and the world seemed brighter.
In other words, having a beautiful, flat-chested wife is the best thing ever.
Today, we had a family gathering for tea. We had harvested some melons grown in the greenhouse.
The family gathered around the table while the servants prepared tea and cut the melons for us. Once everything was ready, the servants left the room, leaving only a few trusted retainers like Rita and Mariel. This allowed us to talk freely, without concern for confidentiality.
“Well then, shall we begin?”
With those words from Father, the tea party commenced.
I took a bite of the melon. It was sweet and delicious. While it couldn’t compare to the highly cultivated melons from my previous world, it was still undeniably a melon.
“Risty, I hear you’ve been spending a lot of time at The Lab. I’m glad to hear you like it.”
First, Mother spoke to Risty. Recently, Mother hadn’t been as involved, but back when she was deeply invested in selective breeding, she would visit the greenhouse every day. She had a sentimental attachment to The Lab.
“Yes, I’ve been having a wonderful time. But melons in this season—it’s truly surprising.”
Risty smiled, delighted by the out-of-season sweetness.
“Hey, Father, what do you think about building a greenhouse in the royal capital too? If we could serve melons or watermelons in winter, it would definitely impress foreign guests. And since it would only be used for growing off-season crops, they wouldn’t be able to figure out our selective breeding methods.”
“Hmm. There’s merit in the idea. If we’re too cautious about protecting secrets, we may miss out on opportunities. The Gustique mansion in the capital doesn’t have enough space for a greenhouse, so we’d have to propose the idea to the royal family.”
“My father would love it. You might not know this, but he’s a huge fan of strawberries. He’s always saying he wishes he could eat them year-round.”
“Ah, that’s true. He used to eat them all the time. He’s also a fan of whipped cream, so we could include a centrifuge with the greenhouse.”
At this, Risty looked a little uncomfortable.
“Um… about that… Father-in-law, the centrifuge in The Lab is currently being used by me and Kuu.”
Risty had grown quite close to Kudell and now called her by the nickname “Kuu.”
Kudell, with her unassuming appearance and freckles, had a surprisingly well-defined, almost cute face, and a rather large bust—around an H-cup, I’d guess. I had been slightly worried that her appearance might stir up insecurities for Risty, but everything seemed to be fine.
“No, I’m talking about making a new one. Don’t worry. We don’t have much time, but if I push some of the work onto Muzuri, we can manage.”
Father was already planning to overwork the steward. Hang in there, Muzuri.
Just then, there was a sudden knock on the door, and it opened. Standing in the doorway was none other than the aforementioned Muzuri.
“I apologize for interrupting your gathering. A messenger has arrived with urgent news from Count Rendolf. There has been an outbreak of an infectious disease in his territory, suspected to be Green Fever, and they are requesting assistance.”
The atmosphere in the room shifted immediately. Unfortunately, our tea party was over.
Green Fever is a contagious disease with a mortality rate of over 30% if not treated with magic. If containment efforts fail, the damage could be catastrophic.
Count Rendolf’s territory bordered Gustique lands, with only a viscount’s territory between us. Though not directly neighboring, the outbreak was close enough that it wasn’t just someone else’s problem.
Containing the disease would require Holy purification magic and Wood-element derivative ‘Death’ magic, which could cause instant death to prevent the spread of the infection. The Gustique family had a much higher capacity for handling plagues compared to other noble families, so it was clear we needed to act.
Father stood up.
“Muzuri, prepare the horses.”
“I’ve already given the orders.”
“Good. Fiona, Folca, Lyla, are you ready?”
“Of course.”
“Yes. Lyla, let’s get changed into riding clothes.”
As Mother and I responded and stood up, Risty also rose and said, “I’ll come too.”
Father nodded, “Thank you. I’m counting on you.”
“Then, get ready to depart. I’ll speak with the messenger.”
“Understood. Let’s go, Risty.”
