A Flat-Chest Believer Reincarnated in a World Where Women with Small Breasts Aren't Treated as Women ~ I Ended Up with a Flat-Chested Harem. - Chapter 52
Upon returning to the Gustique main estate in Remilba, I found myself, as expected, subtly busy.
First and foremost, there was the task of increasing armor production.
The reason for this was rather flimsy—merely the subdued demeanor of the Manjula faction—but armor doesn’t spoil. I had no intention of regretting inaction when trouble came knocking.
With iron production ramped up, I instructed that kettle hats with brims be made with a focus on quantity rather than quality. Naturally, this led to a series of detailed questions and confirmations, as well as the need to allocate funds. In short, my administrative workload increased.
But that was a minor inconvenience—just administrative work, after all.
What weighed more heavily was preparing for the wedding with Selena and Lasha.
While much of the preparation, such as setting up their accommodations at the Gustique estate, could be handled internally, arranging the wedding itself was another matter. When I married Risty, the retainers of the Rolique family practically coughed up blood to finalize everything. This time, however, it was up to us, alongside the Quitunen family, to manage the preparations.
It was proving to be quite the headache.
Thus, a mini family council was convened. Father, Mother, Risty, and I sat around a table to discuss.
“Now then, about Folca’s wedding with Selena and Lasha… what should we do?”
Father spoke, a slight furrow forming between his brows.
“There are a lot of unusual factors this time, which means many decisions need to be made. The first is whether to hold the ceremony in the royal capital or in Remilba.”
The religious significance of the great cathedral in the royal capital was vastly different from that of the church in Remilba.
Normally, ceremonies for concubines weren’t held at the great cathedral. In that sense, the church in Remilba seemed like the natural choice.
However, the prospective brides this time were the elder and younger daughters of the high-ranking Quitunen count family. Not only that, but they were both grandmaster-level mages.
And most importantly, the children born to Selena and Lasha were intended to become heirs of the Quitunen family rather than serving as reserve heirs like typical concubines’ children.
Given these considerations, some might argue that the great cathedral would be the more appropriate venue.
In other words, it was a tie. The Quitunen family also seemed to view both options as having merits and hadn’t expressed a strong preference.
Personally, however, I leaned toward the great cathedral. For a thoroughly self-serving reason.
“If we hold the ceremony in Remilba, the two of them will probably feel more at ease. They won’t be subjected to strange stares.”
Mother expressed her thoughts.
Indeed, Selena and Lasha had spent nearly three years in seclusion due to their insecurities about their lack of physical development. A grand ceremony at the cathedral would likely expose them to all sorts of scrutiny.
In Remilba, the attendees would be limited to those connected to both families, sparing them unnecessary concerns.
As I hesitated on how to respond, Risty spoke up.
“However, being subjected to scrutiny is something they’ll have to face sooner or later. They can’t stay in hiding forever. If they held the ceremony in the royal capital and formally reentered social circles through an accompanying evening party, the noise might die down more quickly.”
Thank you, Risty. I’ll go along with this.
“Holding the ceremony at the great cathedral would give the impression that Selena and Lasha are being respected and valued highly. I believe a wedding in the royal capital would ultimately result in less overall gossip.”
Father nodded with a thoughtful “Hmm.”
Now then, why was I so insistent on the great cathedral?
The truth is, I had an ambition.
My ambition was to seamlessly orchestrate a first-night threesome.
I wanted to have Selena and Lasha lying side by side in bed as if it were the most natural thing in the world.
Call me a pervert if you must.
But come on, if you were to marry twin beauties at the same time, wouldn’t most men dream of something like this? By sheer numbers, this is the majority opinion. And if this is considered being a pervert, then I proudly belong to the majority of so-called perverts.
You might wonder what this has to do with the great cathedral. Admittedly, there’s no direct connection.
However, this wedding involves not just the question of where to hold it but also whether to hold it once or twice. The decision is whether to hold two separate ceremonies on different days or combine everything into a single event.
I wanted to consolidate the wedding into a single ceremony. That way, I could set the tone that, since both brides were having their first night, it was only natural for both of them to share it with me. A shared first night—it just made sense, didn’t it?
If the wedding were held at the great cathedral, the guest list would naturally expand to include more nobles. As a result, holding two ceremonies would become less feasible. Nobles weren’t inclined to attend multiple events for what was essentially the same wedding, differentiated only by the length of the brides’ hair.
In Remilba, it wouldn’t necessarily mean two ceremonies, but holding the wedding at the great cathedral would almost certainly mean having just one event.
For the record, I had a backup plan in case the decision leaned toward Remilba. It involved inviting Brother Al, reaching out to the Duke of Domeia, and, if possible, coaxing someone from the royal family to attend. By making the guest list exceptionally prestigious, I could ensure that the ceremony would have to be a single event. However, this plan was cumbersome, and I preferred not to resort to it.
“Also, if Rita is to be formally married in the future, it would highlight the difference in status between her and Selena and Lasha.”
Risty added. That was a good point. If Rita were to have a wedding, it would undoubtedly be held at the church in Remilba. While the same location could be used to differentiate status through the ceremony’s content, a more pronounced distinction could be made by holding Selena and Lasha’s ceremony at the great cathedral.
“…I see. In that case, the great cathedral in the royal capital might be the better choice.”
After some thought, Mother agreed. Excellent.
“Alright. Let’s discuss with the Quitunen family and move forward with the great cathedral as the venue.”
Father made the decision, bringing me one step closer to my ambition.
“In that case, we’ll also need to consider the evening party. Hopefully, the Gustique estate’s main hall will suffice… but just in case, we should reserve a hall in the royal castle.”
When marrying a concubine, it was customary not to hold a formal evening party. Typically, a smaller celebration would be held with close associates from both families.
In this case, it would involve the Gustique family, the Quitunen family, my mother’s family—the Redding family—and Selena and Lasha’s mother’s family, the Orsarm family.
However, there was no rule explicitly forbidding an evening party for a concubine’s wedding. If the ceremony were held at the great cathedral, it would feel more natural to host one.
While the Gustique estate’s main hall could accommodate an evening party, it might feel cramped if the guest list expanded. If we requested it, the royal family would likely lend us a hall in the castle.
“I think that’s a good idea as well.”
Mother and I nodded in agreement, and the mini family council concluded.
Later, Risty, Rita, Mariel, and I gathered to discuss the arrangements for Selena and Lasha’s rooms.
Incidentally, Mariel’s morning sickness had subsided, and her pregnancy was progressing smoothly.
A blueprint of the Gustique estate was spread out on the table.
“The area next to Lord Folca and Lady Risty’s room is available, so the location is settled, correct?”
“Yes, that works. The only question is how to remodel it.”
“The twins are bringing seven maids. Not all of them need to stay in the north wing where the Gustique family resides, so we can allocate some to the west wing.”
“I see. In that case, I think a simple layout with Selena’s room, Lasha’s room, a shared living area, a maids’ room, a bathroom, and a storage room would work. What do you think?”
We planned to demolish the existing partition walls and redesign the space. With about 70 square meters available, that layout should fit comfortably.
“The overall layout sounds good. If anything else is needed, we can adjust later.”
Mariel offered her input.
“I agree. Mariel, Rita, could you think through the workflow and suggest how to arrange the space for practicality?”
Risty asked them for their opinions, and a provisional floor plan began to take shape. Projects like this were enjoyable. We compared several drafts before settling on a final layout.
“Alright, let’s show this to Father and Mother, and then hand it over to the builders.”
And so, the tasks leading up to my marriage with Selena and Lasha steadily progressed.
