The love letter was placed on top of my sneakers both the first and the second times.

With that refusal, the light in Sakurazaka-san’s eyes dimmed.

With her dark, clouded eyes, she stared at me as if peering into my eyes.

Sakurazaka-san closed the distance between us, invading my personal space without hesitation.
