- Chapter 16 - Perverted Black Mist
From the entanglement between the three parties, Wen Bei was fortunately uninjured. The only injury he suffered was the cut on his palm.
In the end, the Fishermen were no match for the Fish King. When the last fisherman was left alive for the King to deal with, the sound of the car’s horn which Wen Bei had been waiting for finally echoed in the air.
Ji Mingyuan, who had been ignored since the fight began, had gone straight to their car which had just been abandoned on the road.
He suddenly opened the car door on the side and did not stop. Instead, he whizzed past. He slowed down for a moment when passing by Wen Bei. It was at that moment that he successfully grabbed the car door and jumped in with a dexterity of a cat. Wen Bei got into the car.
More blood flowed from the wound on his palm. There was no change in Wen Bei’s expression, he directly closed the car’s door with his injured hand.
Before the Fish King could react, its prey had already jumped far away in a car.
It roared angrily and hit the last fisherman’s body hard until the Fisherman turned into a puddle of rotten flesh under its hands.
Wen Bei breathed a sigh of relief.
He was right again.
The Fish King did not catch up with them after really having lost the ability to move.
Since the very beginning when they were brought to the lair of the Fishermen, Wen Bei had noticed that the Fish King never revealed his lower body. He speculated that it was because the Fish King’s legs had probably been deformed into fish tails. Thus, he could not move and could only use other Fishermen to take care of his meals.
It was indeed the strongest among the Fishermen, but as long as one stayed far from its attack range, it had no way to attack.
That’s why Wen Bei dared to give Ji Mingyuan a hint to let him leave directly.
After relaxing for a while, Wen Bei touched the Black Eagle’s feathers and smiled with his eyes bent: “Thank you.”
Ji Mingyuan, who was driving, glanced at Wen Bei and sighed silently.
His boss was indeed a little too courageous.
…
After the fierce battle, they still managed to gain nothing.
On the way back, Ji Mingyuan used his abilities to catch two strange-looking filthy creatures.
They were grade C filths. Wen Bei did not choose to trade them, but took them directly to the kitchen to unlock two new recipes – Fried Pork Cutlet Bento and Tomato Scrambled Eggs.
The fried pork cutlet bento had a variety of dishes, including cherry tomatoes and broccoli. The tomato scrambled eggs were sweet, and the acidity and sweetness of the tomatoes were just right.
Wen Bei tasted the new dishes but didn’t eat more.
Because he felt like vomitting from the fishy smell on his body.
He stood up, put down his half-eaten lunch, and returned straight to his room to wash up.
After adjusting the water temperature to a comfortable temperature, he stood under the shower and let the hot water wash over him.
Toiletries provided in the hotel rooms were refreshed every once in 24 hours, so he didn’t have to worry about running out of toiletries. Even the quality was very guaranteed.
Wen Bei rubbed bubbles all over his body, and, finally, the disgusting fishy smell dissipated. He leaned closer and smelled his arm to make sure there was no fishy smell.
The water continued to wash away, until the blood from his wounds was diluted and the bathroom was filled with mist, Wen Bei turned off the shower.
The moment the water stopped, a black mist appeared out of nowhere, penetrated through the crack in the door, and wrapped around his ankles under the mist.
Wen Bei felt cold. When he looked down, his face turned dark. He gritted his teeth and uttered three words: “What a pervert.”
The black mist was obviously an intangible object, but the moment it touched his skin, a chill crept up along the seams of his bones, as if being stared at by some cold, large predatory beast.
It wound itself on his skin like a thin vine all the way up to his calf. It looked like some kind of ancient tattoo that looked weird and sexy at the same time. The water droplets wherever it passed were swallowed up.
Wen Bei inexplicably had the illusion of being licked.
He said solemnly: “Get out.”
At a single glance, he could tell that the black mist belonged to a certain man. Although he did not appear in his true form, Wen Bei always felt that he was looking at him through the black mist.
He had no interest in being spied on while being naked.
Unexpectedly, the black mist not only did not leave, but also seemed to be more excited after being scolded, twisting up to his wound. It stayed on it for a while and then started by sucking.
A small electric current spread all over his body from the wound. Wen Bei groaned, and an unnatural flush appeared on his face, but his eyes were felt blurred. Under the steaming mist, he looked like a rotten flower blooming from hell.
He also resembled the lights that lured countless phototactic creatures to the feast of death, swaying in the darkness. The kind that would burn on upon getting close.
The blood on the wound had just been diluted away by the water, making the black mist cling to it. It could only feel the sweet and dizzying fragrance, but there wasn’t much of it for the mist to take in.
It could obviously directly destroy the wound harshly to let more fresh blood flow out. But, it didn’t do that for some reason, instead it just sucked the wound a little bit, while suppressing its greedy nature.
Wen Bei bit his lower lip to prevent his legs from going weak. He pulled his towel and quickly wiped away the excess water drops on his body, and then put on a pure white T-shirt which was wide enough to cover his thighs.
He lifted his feet and walked out of the bathroom. The black mist, realising that it had been ignored, suddenly dispersed like a dull light.
When Wen Bei walked to the bed, he realized that the annoying man had been sitting on his bed, with his long legs crossed and his handsome eyebrows full of contentment. He looked like an elegant and decent gentleman from the the previous century, but the evil redness in his eyes destroyed his elegance and exposed his fangs.
He raised his eyebrows and looked at Wen Bei: “You are injured.”
His statement was utterly meaningless.
Even Qiu Tin, himself, may not actually know the meaning of these words.
Wen Bei didn’t even want to pay attention to him at that moment. The man was very powerful, because even Ji Mingyuan failed to even notice his movement in and out.
Wen Bei couldn’t kill him, and the other party couldn’t attack the Hotel Owner due to the restrictions placed on him.
Under such conditions, the two people maintained a delicate balance.
But one could never know when the balance would be interrupted, in the end, one of them was bound to always get burned.
Wen Bei just wanted to rest, so he said expressionlessly: “Get out of the way.”
‘What a fierce yet beautiful little bird.’
Qiu Tin gave a low chuckle. His voice was very magnetic and pleasant, but no one present would appreciate it.
Wen Bei rolled his eyes, lifted the quilt and lay on the bed.
Qiu Tin was ignored just like the black mist that he had released earlier. A strange light flashed in his eyes, staring at the fair back of Wen Bei’s neck which was exposed to him. His breathing changed from light to heavy.
It looked like a good spot to bite. The prey would struggle until it gradually lost all its resistance and submitted to him.
Only the sounds of their breathing could be heard in the entire room.
Wen Bei looked as if he was asleep, in fact, his nerves were tense the whole time. He was worried that Qiu Tin, who was a lunatic, would suddenly launch attack.
No one could guess the thoughts of a madman. Even if his internal organs were crushed, he would still laugh as if it was nothing.
Wen Bei suddenly felt a burning sensation on his eyelids, the same spot where Qiu Tin had kissed and sealed the last time.
He didn’t know how much time had passed, but Qiu Tin seemed to have finally had enough admiring his beauty. He was just as strange and unpredictable as when he had first arrived. He disappeared from the room in an instant without making any sound.
Wen Bei tilted his head to listen, and after waiting for a while to confirm that Qiu Tin had really left, Wen Bei silently closed his eyes again, relaxed and fell asleep.
…
When he woke up the next day, he didn’t wake up naturally or deliberately, but instead it was because of the noisy sounds from the garden. It sounded as if an entire group was discussing something in a happy and enthusiastic manner. The voices definitely belonged to the flowers in the garden.
The little flowers of the garden usually clamored for meat, but the volume had never been too loud. As long as Wen Bei was not standing in the garden, he couldn’t hear it. But somehow, they were particularly excited.
Could it be that they had finally had enough? Could it be that they were hungry to the point that they wanted to protest?
With a puzzled look on his face, Wen Bei opened the door and went downstairs after quickly washing up. He bumped into the Butler Rabbit.
The Rabbit actually had a dazed expression on his face. He looked up at Wen Bei and said, “Go to the garden and take a look.”
Could it be that something had really happened?
Had those flowers been so hungry that they ended up eating up the guests?
Wen Bei’s expression changed, and he walked quickly into the front garden. He suddenly stopped when he saw the scenery in front of him— a bloody mess.
It looked no different from a carnival of bloody feast.
There were more than a dozen corpses of the Fishermen lying in the field, and the most conspicuous corpse of the Fish King had been eaten away by the pink and white flowers, leaving behind only the skeleton.
Ji Mingyuan walked over from behind him, the shock on his expression was no less than Wen Bei’s: “Do you know what’s going on?”
Wen Bei shook his head slowly.
Ji Mingyuan: “I only discovered it when I got up at six o’clock this morning to patrol. I also went outside the Hotel and walked around. It turned out that all the Fishermen around us were dead.”
Who would do such a thing?
Wen Bei approached a small pink flower and asked, “Do you know who did this?”
The little pink flowers who had eaten and drank enough were in a good mood: “It was delivered by a very handsome big brother.”
”He was so awesome! He delivered so much meat in just half an hour.”
”I actually like his eyes. They looked like transparent rubies!”
The required answer was received.
It turned out to be the handiwork of Qiu Tin.
Wasn’t that person wishing for Wen Bei’s death? How did he suddenly become kind enough to help him solve the hidden danger?
Wen Bei was puzzled. He looked at the corpses of the Fishermen and sighed.
Fortunately, he didn’t meet all the fishermen the previous day, otherwise even two extra lives wouldn’t have been enough to escape.
No matter what the lunatic had been thinking, Wen Bei would take the advantage of the current matter.
He would never let go of the benefits that were brought to his lips.
The Fishermen which were suddenly fed the flowers made them bloom better to the naked eye. The remaining corpses could be used to trade with the hotel.
Wen Bei waited until the flowers were full and then asked the Rabbit Butler to pack up the remaining corpses.
The Butler Rabbit brought out a scanner used for trading and placed a few drops on the corpses. Five thousand crystal stones were immediately transferred to the account, and all the remaining corpses disappeared.
It gave Wen Bei an unreal feeling of getting rich overnight.
The little flowers in the garden ate more than half of the Fishermen, and the remainder was actually not much. He didn’t expect that they could still be exchanged for nearly five thousand crystal stones.
In one full swoop, he could transform the Hotel’s shabby appearance into a brand new one, and unlock a few other things.
