T/N: Already telling y’all, this is an awfully long chapter, so long that I had to split it into four parts.
Chapter 21 PT1 – Riots Break Out
It was just getting dark, and the distant sky still had a hint of dark blue. Vehicles were constantly flowing through the base, and the streets were full of pedestrians. Stores that opened at night switched on their colorful signboards one after another, projecting various eye-catching logos on the ground.
Song Chen is a young male Omega. He had dinner outside with his friends today.
After dinner, he was walking on the street with his friends, chatting and laughing. When he looked up, he suddenly noticed a strange man walking towards him, staring at him straight.
The smile on Song Chen’s face faded, and he instinctively sensed a hint of danger.
He pulled his friend and prepared to walk in another direction, but he noticed from the corner of his eye that the man also changed direction, quickening his pace and approaching him faster.
The man was obviously targeting him.
Song Chen’s face changed, and inexplicable panic made him let go of his friend. He ran forward without looking back, but after only two steps, he was knocked to the ground by the man who suddenly attacked him from behind.
An alpha’s strong body held Song Chen tightly, making it impossible for him to break free.
“Are you an Omega?” A hoarse and strange voice sounded in his ears. Song Chen felt the man’s heavy breathing on his neck. The man seemed to be deeply sniffing his pheromones.
Song Chen’s face flushed with anger. What the strange Alhpa did to him was no different from sexual harassment.
“You, what are you going to do… let me go!” The young Omega struggled hard, but in the next second, the fragile gland on the back of his neck was bitten viciously by the strange man.
Alpha’s violent and manic pheromones began to be injected into his body crazily.
“Ahhh!!!” Song Chen screamed and opened his eyes wide. He kicked his legs and tried to escape from the man’s control. However, the Alpha on his body was strong and powerful, and with his strength, he could not shake the man at all.
The Alpha bit his gland hard, gripping the skin with his sharp teeth and grinding it wantonly as if to vent his anger. Soon, the fragile skin was torn apart by the torture, presenting a bloody and horrific scene.
On the side, Song Chen’s friend was stunned by the sudden accident and frantically asked for help from people around them.
“Help… Can someone come and help! Someone is being attacked here!”
People passing by avoided it.
Those who can survive in the apocalypse are extremely careful about their lives. Cold glances swept across the suddenly crazy Alpha. The scarlet and crazy eyes made people feel scared, and no one wanted to cause trouble.
The guards patrolling the base heard the noise and quickly discovered the abnormality. Several soldiers quickly surrounded the man.
“Stop immediately! Let him go!” The soldier raised his gun and shouted harshly.
The man bit the Omega and refused to let go. He glanced at the soldiers in front of him with a provocative look, and used his canine teeth to exert force again. The young Omega he controlled let out a painful wail, and a large amount of blood flowed from the back of his neck. His voice gradually weakened.
Seeing that the situation was out of control, the soldier fired decisively, hitting the man’s left and right arms with two shots respectively.
The man groaned and was finally forced to stop his violence. He pressed his body heavily on the Omega. The severe pain from being pierced by the bullet made the man’s face distort.
The soldier kicked the man away and checked the injuries of the Omega on the ground.
Song Chen’s condition was not optimistic. He had lost consciousness due to the forced marking and excessive blood loss.
The man who launched the attack was lying on his back on the ground, his mouth full of blood but a satisfied smile on his face.
“Omega’s pheromones… smell so good. Blood, ahem… blood is so sweet too.”
The soldiers handcuffed the man, and he continued to laugh crazily, “I marked him, and he is mine too, hahahahahaha…”
The leading soldier frowned and knocked the still crazy man unconscious with a knife.
After checking the injured Omega, the soldier said worriedly, “Captain, this Omega is showing symptoms of pheromone disorder.”
Song Chen is an Omega who already has a partner. The gland behind his neck bears his partner’s lifelong mark. He was suddenly forcibly marked by a strange Alpha. The two restless pheromones fought each other in his body and were about to crush his brain.
“No… uh… it hurts…”
The severe physical pain and mental collapse made Song Chen’s face flush red, his expression painful, and he could hardly breathe.
The captain of the escort team had a solemn look on his face. Just as he was about to contact his superior to report the sudden accident, he received a message from his superior first.
“Sir, we have a–”
Before he could finish his words, an irritable voice from the other side interrupted him immediately.
“I know! Team 13, go to the west area immediately to provide support. The base is now full of these crazy bastards!”
“What?” The captain was stunned for a moment, then immediately replied, “…Yes, Team 13 received it.”
The injured Omega could only ask his friend to help send him to the hospital temporarily. A soldier took the attacker back to the detention room, and the rest set off for the mission area as ordered.
It was unknown where the riot started, but when Du Suo received the news, the entire base was in chaos.
Thousands of Alphas whose mental strength was on the verge of collapse appeared in various corners of the base at the same time as if they had planned it in advance, and launched an attack on the Omegas.
These Alphas roughly marked the Omegas they didn’t know and injected large amounts of violent pheromones into their glands, without caring about the Omegas’ lives.
Their actions seemed to be purely out of venting and seemed completely irrational.
Before launching the attack, they disguised themselves in the crowd and no one noticed their abnormality, so that in a short period of time, many Omegas in the base were attacked.
The out-of-control Alphas were like a group of hungry and crazy hyenas. They gathered in groups of three or five in the base, searching for the scent of Omegas. Once they found their prey, they would pounce on them excitedly and tear their glands wantonly.
The base was in chaos. The Omegas’ miserable cries for help could be heard from almost every street. Several out-of-control Alphas would even gather together, marking the same Omega one after another and frantically absorbing the sweet pheromones from the Omega.
Du Suo realized the seriousness of the situation and immediately transferred the guards in the base to various districts to suppress the riots. Even many of the soldiers who usually guarded the city gates were transferred away by him.
The soldiers received the order to assemble quickly, take up their weapons, search the base for the Alphas who started the riot, and quell the unrest.
On the street corner, an Alpha pinned the panicked Omega to the ground in front of the soldiers.
A series of red lasers were aimed at Alpha’s body, but when he heard the soldier’s roar, Alpha just grinned and then bit Omega’s gland hard.
Alpha raised his head, and everyone present could see the scarlet bloodshot in his eyes.
Even after being hit by bullets and losing his ability to move, the Alpha still murmured in a low voice: “Omega should be a shared resource for all Alphas.”
Blood kept dripping from the corners of his mouth that were raised evilly. In front of everyone’s eyes, he looked like a completely out-of-control monster.

At the same time, Military Apartment.
Shen Yan had just prepared dinner, which consisted of three dishes and a soup, all of which looked delicious and were still steaming hot from the pot.
The stove, which was rarely turned on, was used much more frequently during this period.
Shen Yan suddenly thought of something, and a slight curve appeared at the corner of his lips, which disappeared in an instant.
Jian Ning seemed to enjoy eating these fresh foods.
Shen Yan used to think that nutritional supplements were convenient and easy to take. He had long been accustomed to taking cold nutritional supplements as daily food for three meals a day. As for the taste, it made no difference to him.
But recently, he had gotten used to eating with Jian Ning, and he found that fresh foods could really make people happy.
Now, he actually enjoyed his daily meal time.
Just as Shen Yan was about to leave the kitchen, the Star Brain in his hand suddenly emitted a piercing reminder of an emergency communication.
Shen Yan paused, put down the two bowls of rice he had just served, opened the Star Brain, looked at the two words “Du Suo” in the middle, and slid his fingertips to connect.
Shen Yan: “What’s the matter?”
Du Suo’s tense voice came from the Star Brain: “Shen Yan, lend me some manpower! There’s a riot in the base, those Alphas are fucking crazy! They’re looking for Omegas and marking them everywhere on the street!”
Shen Yan frowned slightly and asked in a deep voice: “How many people do you need? Where are your people now?”
The mopping-up troops that Shen Yan is in charge of are all special troops that have undergone rigorous selection and are participating in the “seed” transplant program. The entire force has only a few hundred people and is usually only responsible for promoting the cleanup of the external security zone of the base.
The internal security of the base is the responsibility of Du Suo, who is also an admiral, and his guard team. Their main responsibility is to maintain the daily order of the base and protect against alien invasions. Although the members of the guard team are ordinary people, they are all well-trained soldiers.
As the sword and shield of the base, the troops under their command rarely intersect.
Du Suo has reached the point where he needs to borrow people, which shows that the current situation is not optimistic.
Du Suo seemed to be very busy. He panted and said, “Let me borrow as many as you can lend. I don’t know where these people came from. There are people in every district! You can distribute the support yourself.”
Du Suo continued, “You are in the military apartment now? It’s not too far from the base gate. You’d better take some people to the city gate immediately. I just transferred a group of people from the city gate, but I just found out from a captured kid that they secretly got some weapons and are preparing to do something big at the base gate! I really want to kill these idiots!”
Shen Yan said coldly: “I understand, leave it to me.”
After hanging up the phone, Shen Yan walked out of the kitchen.
Jian Ning was sitting on the sofa watching TV. When he saw him come out, he turned his head and asked with blinking eyes, “Is there an accident at the base?”
Shen Yan: “Well, there is a riot going on in the base, I’m going to go out for a while.”
Untying the apron with slender fingers, Shen Yan casually picked up the combat uniform coat hanging on the back of the chair, put it on, and began to contact the captains of each team of the clearing and extermination troops, and walked straight towards the entrance.
The door at the entrance creaked open, Shen Yan turned around, and suddenly saw the young man on the sofa looking at him eagerly.
Shen Yan’s eyes moved slightly, and his cold voice softened a little: “You eat first, no need to wait for me, remember not to go out.”
Jian Ning nodded obediently.
After Shen Yan left, Jian Ning immediately opened Star Brain and logged into the forum.
He vaguely overheard a lot of Shen Yan’s conversation in the kitchen just now.
As expected, as soon as he entered the forum, almost everyone was discussing what happened tonight.
Jian Ning clicked on a post and started to scroll down:
【68L: No, I thought the guys who posted a few days ago were just venting their emotions, how come it became such a big deal?】
【69L: Did anyone see it just now? There was an Omega on the South Ring Road who was bitten by several As in turn. It seems that his glands were completely destroyed.】
【70L: Huh? What are they doing…are they just going crazy?】
【71L: Those captured Alphas are so scary, their mouths are full of blood, just like those monsters outside】
【……】
【94L: Speaking of which, I just saw a group of people heading towards the base gate…】
【95L: Damn, what on earth are they trying to do? They don’t want to drag everyone down with them by destroying the gate, do they?】
【96L: Ahhhh!! I see the military is arresting people in the center of the base. They don’t know the news yet, do they? Is there anyone who wants to go and take a look? ?!】
Destroy the base gate?
There was a thoughtful look in Jian Ning’s eyes.
At this moment, a sharp alarm sounded outside the window, and the mechanical prompt sound resounded in every corner of the base.
【Warning! Everyone returns to the shelter immediately——Warning! Everyone return to the shelter immediately——】
【The military is suppressing the riot. Omegas who are still outside please find the nearest safe hiding place immediately. The rest of you please do not walk around casually——】
Jian Ning got up from the sofa and looked out the window——
There were far fewer pedestrians outside than usual. People looked hurried, all on their way home.
The area near the military apartment was relatively safe, but looking into the distance, red hazard warning lights were everywhere on the streets, large and small. Horrifying gunshots were heard from the air from time to time, and the entire base was filled with an ominous atmosphere.
Jian Ning felt his heart beating very fast.
He turned and walked into the bedroom, finding his backpack from the corner of the closet.
After he returned from his previous mission, he had been hiding his backpack there. It was filled with the food that he had carefully prepared, so that he could just grab the bag and escape when he had the chance.
Jian Ning had a very strong premonition at this moment – tonight was his lucky day.
If those people really destroyed the gate of the base, he might be able to leave in the chaos.
Carrying a heavy backpack, as he passed by the dining table, Jian Ning was attracted by the rich aroma on the table. He glanced over and swallowed, and his hungry stomach made a growling sound of protest the next second.
Sweet and sour fish, spicy fried chicken, hot and sour shredded potatoes, three-fresh soup…
It looks… looks delicious.
He hasn’t had dinner today…
No! No, if he waited until he finished eating, he was bound to run late.
Jian Ning’s face was full of struggle. He gritted his teeth, looked away, and walked quickly out of the house.
When he walked out of the apartment, the street outside had become very deserted.
With his keen alien senses, he avoided the chaotic streets and ran quickly towards the base gate under the cover of buildings and darkness.
