After the incident in the gym storage room.

During lunch break, I was forced to help organize books in the library after finishing my meal.

Naturally, it was Shirahime’s order. The task was to sort the pile of returned books inside a plastic costume bookcase and place them back on the shelves according to their genre, but it was quite a hassle.

Despite that, Shirahime had the nerve to come and tease me…

 

“Yo, Toui-kun♡”

“What do you want… I’m working right now. If you’re here to bother me, then leave.”

“…Are you having trouble with the work? Toui-kun, you don’t seem interested in books at all. You should try reading them, you know? It might make this job go faster.”

“Annoying…”

“Ah, look, how about this one?”

 

Saying so, Shirahime pulled out a book from a random bookshelf. It was a self-help book titled 『The Courage to Bend Yourself 《The Importance of Cooperation.》』

 

“Are you making fun of me?”

“Ah, I think I’ll read this one!”

 

Next, Shirahime brought over a parenting book titled 『How to Deal with a Rebellious Child』

 

“I’m gonna knock you out! And why is there a parenting book in the school library anyway!”

 

Ignoring my complaints, Shirahime casually flipped through the pages. It seemed that she wasn’t really reading the content.

 

“…Hey, Toui-kun.”

 

And then—suddenly, my lips were sealed. Shirahime used the open book as a partition, making sure our faces couldn’t be seen by others around us and kissed me.

 

“You, even in a place like this… W-What if someone sees us…”

“I’m leaving early today for a modeling job, so I had to do it right now.♡ That’s why I came over here! Ah, I think I’ll be late tomorrow, but don’t worry, I’ll definitely come to school. See you tomorrow!”

 

With those words, Shirahime tossed the book she had brought into the return bookcase next to me, waved her hand and left the library.

 

“Ah!? Wait, hey! Where did these books come from? Damn it, she’s not cute at all! Whatever, I’ll just shove it in here… Whoa!”

 

As if it was a punishment for trying to be lazy, or maybe a message to read the books, about a shelf’s worth of books fell on my head as I tried to shove Shirahime’s two books back into the shelf.

I definitely won’t read any books!
