Genius Trainee: My Husband Isn't Human - Chapter 6
Hong Zhang stared at the fallen vampire, stunned for a moment, then in the next second, he glared at the man with a ferocious expression. “Mo Wangchu, we’ve followed you for hundreds of years, do you really want to kill us all?!”
But the man said nothing, only instantly moving to another evil vampire’s back and ending his life.
The man looked at Hong Zhang, walking toward him step by step, as if asking for his last words. “Do you have anything else to say?”
“You!”
Hong Zhang looked at the man with hatred, fiercely baring his fangs as he lunged at the man, “Since you won’t give us a way out, don’t blame me for forgetting old friendship!”
This Hong Zhang was clearly much stronger than the previous blood sucking ghosts. In his desperate counterattack, he even tore open a gash on the man’s left hand. The man’s expression darkened as he kicked him away violently.
Just then, the sound of footsteps came from the doorway.
“!!!”
Why did she come back?!
Luo Jingcha was hiding in the booth closest to the door, and could immediately see Feng Yijun walking in. She had originally planned to escape during the fight between the man and Hong Zhang, thinking that even if they noticed her, they wouldn’t have time to deal with her. She might even be able to save her life. But she hadn’t expected this unexpected intrusion.
“Damn it, why haven’t you brought that b*tch Luo Jingcha out yet?”
Feng Yijun cursed, but as soon as she reached the door, she saw Luo Jingcha hiding behind the booth. Their eyes met, and she couldn’t help but exclaim excitedly, “So this is where you’re hiding!”
Luo Jingcha: “……”
You really know how to pick your moments for trouble!
Luo Jingcha blinked, pointing inside. The unconcerned Feng Yijun glanced over, but the next second she couldn’t help but scream, “Ahhhhhhh!!!!”
Feeling several cold gazes sweep in their direction, Luo Jingcha couldn’t care about anything else. She gritted her teeth, stood up, and pulled Feng Yijun away.
Hong Zhang, seeing an opportunity, threw a glass bottle at another vampire and said, “Kill them!”
The other vampire immediately understood and chased after the two women.
Seeing this, even though Hong Zhang was terrified, he couldn’t help but laugh wildly, “Mo Wangchu, your death is at hand! Did you think I was risking my life to fight you to the death? You were wrong. I was just trying to get your blood. Originally, I was planning to get your blood so I could use a secret method to form a blood contract with you, but now you’ve forced my hand. As long as my second brother injects your blood into that human woman and then kills her, even the greatest immortal can’t save you!”
After saying this, he jumped out the window, leaving behind an eerie laugh. “You decide whose life will end. You know how fast vampires are. If you’re late, those two humans won’t survive!”
The man stood in the pool of blood, narrowing his eyes, staring at the direction where Hong Zhang had disappeared. He looked at his already healed left hand wound, and with a flicker of movement, he vanished.
Outside, Feng Yijun had finally grown impatient with waiting. Originally, after she left, the people she had arranged in the bar should have drugged Luo Jingcha and brought her out. But she had waited for half an hour without seeing anyone come out, and eventually couldn’t help but come in to check the situation. She hadn’t expected to see such a scene.
Frightened to unconsciousness, she was pulled by Luo Jingcha as they ran. It wasn’t until she came to her senses that she remembered what she had seen, and immediately threw up.
Luo Jingcha was forced to stop by her pulling, frowning as she watched her vomit. “Do you want to live or vomit? If you don’t run, do you want to end up like those people inside?”
“I… Urgh!”
With Luo Jingcha’s words, Feng Yijun vomited even more violently.
Luo Jingcha: “……”
As they spoke, suddenly a cold chill swept over from behind. Luo Jingcha instinctively dodged to the side and looked back to see a vampire with blood at the corners of his mouth half-kneeling where she had just been standing.
The vampire licked the corners of his mouth, the corner of his lips curling into an evil smile as he looked at Luo Jingcha. “Well, the little girl has quick reflexes, actually able to dodge my attack. But you won’t be so lucky next time.”
Seeing a person suddenly appear in front of her, Feng Yijun was so frightened that she sat on the ground, hiding behind Luo Jingcha while saying, “Please, don’t kill me, kill her! I don’t know anything, it was she who made me come in here. Please don’t kill me!”
As she spoke, taking advantage of Luo Jingcha’s inattention, she kicked her hard on the shin, then stood up and ran toward the main road.
“Ah!”
Unexpectedly kicked, Luo Jingcha fell to her knees in pain. She turned her head to look at Feng Yijun, who had abandoned her to escape, and bit her lip until it bled.
The vampire laughed coldly, “See, this is what humans are like. How ridiculous.”
After speaking, he raised his hand to pick up Luo Jingcha, gripping her chin and forcing the blood from the glass bottle directly into her mouth.
The sweet and metallic taste flowed into her mouth. That substance seemed to have a mind of its own as it entered her throat and merged into her bloodstream. An intense stabbing pain burst from every pore of her body, causing her to struggle violently.
Seeing that absorption would take a while, the vampire glanced at Feng Yijun, sneered, and instantly disappeared from the spot.
“You think you can escape?”
Feng Yijun hadn’t run far when she was grabbed by the neck and lifted into the air. With her feet dangling, she immediately couldn’t breathe.
“Don’t… don’t kill me… I… don’t… want to… die…”
“Don’t want to die?”
The vampire laughed coldly, but the strength in his hand grew tighter and tighter. The sound of bones cracking could almost be heard. “What I hate most in my life is people like you who abandon their own kind. Someone like you deserves to die a thousand times!”
The vampire was enjoying the pleasure of torturing Feng Yijun when suddenly a dark shadow flew from behind and struck his head violently, with such force that it sent him flying.
Seeing that both people lying against the wall weren’t moving, Luo Jingcha gasped for breath, dropped the broken steel rod in her hand, and limped toward Feng Yijun. She checked her pulse and found that she was still breathing, which made her sigh in relief.
She shook her head, somewhat dazed, trying to shake off the strange jumbled voices that had suddenly appeared in her mind. But unexpectedly, the vampire she had knocked away stood up again.
This—how is this possible?!
Luo Jingcha swallowed, her heart pounding like a drum.
The vampire twisted his neck, using his hands to twist his crooked neck back into place, looking at Luo Jingcha with hatred. “Interesting, I didn’t expect that after absorbing just half of the royal blood, you’d have so much strength. If I hadn’t been thinking of getting rid of Mo Bai, I would have drunk that bottle of blood myself.”
The vampire spoke as he walked toward Luo Jingcha, glancing at the unconscious Feng Yijun at her feet, and said sarcastically, “Is it worth it? To throw away what could have been your chance to survive for someone like this? Don’t forget, she just used your life to secure her own escape.”
Luo Jingcha felt her breathing becoming heavy. She tried hard to adjust her breathing rhythm, staring at the vampire. “Your blood is cold, mine is hot. Of course you don’t understand.”
Even if Feng Yijun deserved to die, she couldn’t let her be killed. If she was guilty, the law would punish her. The education she had received since childhood wouldn’t allow her to stand by and watch someone die.
“Stubborn to the end, you don’t know when to give up!” The vampire snorted coldly and charged at her quickly.
Luo Jingcha had been watching the vampire, and when he suddenly disappeared, the muscles in her body instantly tensed up.
Bang!
With a loud noise, Luo Jingcha was heavily pinned against the wall by the vampire, with such force that even the wall cracked.
Luo Jingcha felt a sweetness in her throat as the taste of blood rushed into her mouth. The intense pain from her back made her feel like she was about to die.
“Don’t think you can resist me. Die!”
The vampire grabbed her shoulders, opened his mouth wide to reveal a set of bloodthirsty fangs, and bit toward Luo Jingcha’s neck.
