“Hey, what’s up? You’re spacing out.”

“…Oh, why, Yoshiki?”

” ‘Why’ ? That’s a way to greet someone.”

I sincerely apologized and Yoshiki chuckled, saying there was no need to bow so deeply… Honestly, I didn’t expect to be this spaced out… sigh.

(…it’s because I went to Rin’ne and Yomi’s houses.)

It was the first time I went to a girl’s house to hang out, and it was the house of the famous twin beauties at our school… maybe anyone would react like this.

“What about Masashi?”

“He rushed to the restroom as soon as he arrived.”

That must have been quite the hurry, I chuckled.

With a light grunt, Yoshiki settled into a nearby seat, grinning mischievously as he looked at me.

“So? What’s wrong?”

“No, there’s nothing.”

Yoshiki and Masashi both know that I can tell Rin’ne and Yomi apart… But I doubt they think we’re close enough to visit either of their houses.

Or rather, they’re famous twin beauties at school… Just imagine how that news would spread if word got out that I visited their houses… It’s scary just thinking about it.

“Good morning, Masashi.”

“Finally showed up, huh.”

Masashi appeared a bit late, rubbing his belly.

When the three of us gather, our conversations mostly revolve around playing something, but there are also topics related to Masashi being a part of the soccer club.

I’m not personally into soccer, and I only get really into tournaments that come around every few years on TV… but surprisingly, I enjoyed watching Masashi play soccer.

I was mostly talking with Yoshiki… but there’s a unique atmosphere during tournaments.

While spending an enjoyable time with my two friends like that, the Aragaki sisters entered and greeted us with their lovely voices.

As we observed her friends and other outgoing guys gathering around them, Yoshiki muttered under his breath.

Masashi followed up on Yoshiki’s words.

“Between Rin’ne-san and Yomi-san… Their hairstyles and accessories are different, but their facial features really are the same. Seriously, how do you tell the difference?”

How many times have we had this exchange? I also gazed intently at them.

I’ve met them in the past, and thanks to that, I think I’ve become closer to them than the average person.

I do think they are nice girls… but it’s not some impure desire to possess them or anything like that. It’s a genuine desire to be good friends with them.

That being said, even as I feel that way, there are many things I remember.

I’ve never thought of myself as the protagonist of a romantic comedy manga, but it’s a fact that I’ve experienced some slightly lucky lewd coincidences… uh, my face is getting hot again.

“I called out because I saw your back. You go back first.”

With a smirk, my friends entered the classroom, smiling.

Yomi tugged me over and led me a bit to the side. Although the guy who had glared at me the other day happened to be nearby and gave me another glare, Yomi spoke up.

“Hey, is it really okay to glare at people like that?”

Oh… I don’t know what Yomi’s expression was, but after being stared at by her, the guy awkwardly averted his gaze and walked away.

I wasn’t thinking ‘serves him right’ about what just happened, I don’t feel good when someone stares at me without saying anything. I hoped he would stop from now on.

After glancing around to confirm no one was nearby, Yomi continued.

“As usual, we will have regular tests coming up before summer break, right?”

For high school students, the results of regular tests directly impacted their grades, so slacking off wasn’t an option. Trying to get good grades was clearly the better choice.

I remembered Yomi had always said she studied with Rin’ne.
