Episode 6: Alice Goes Home

　Alice and I decided to go down to the inn’s dining room and have a late breakfast.

“So… I am now able to use magical power, but it’s used the same way as divine power. Why is it like that?”

　After finishing off the delicious breakfast Nina had prepared for me, I felt at ease and immediately asked the question that had been bothering me the most. Because of our location, I had to whisper a little.

“Really?”

　Alice asked with a completely unexpected look on her face.

“Well, it’s weird that I can suddenly use magical powers, right? I think it’s because the way to use divine power has been implanted in me.”

“That’s true.”

“Maybe I can use this power to contact God’s realm?”

　For now, if we can just get in contact with the Gods’ Realm, then the whole problem will be solved.

“That’s impossible. I don’t think you can channel magic into me.”

“Ah, now that I think about it, there’s no mental display. It’s a little different from before. But I can still use magic.”

“Ah, the mental display is for beginners. Once you get used to it, it’s unnecessary.”

　Suddenly, Alice’s eyes widened and she rose from her chair.

　Looking, there was a woman there who, though not the Goddess Alice, possessed the same or even greater beauty and grace as Alice.

“Hello. I see you’ve been in a place like this.”

“Wh-why?”

“You said you were summoning…erm, well, calling someone, so I was curious and decided to take a look. And then, this is what happened. So, I’m here to pick you up.”

　It seems she is also a goddess. There are no other guests in the dining room, but since we are still in an inn, they seem to be speaking to each other with care.

“Oh, big sister, thank you, uuuh,” said Alice.

“Well, there’s no need to cry. You’ll always be a child.” She is a child after all. Please say something nice to her.

“Uuuuuuh. Because it’s Onee-sama.”

“Your sister?”

“Oh, nice to meet you. I’m this girl’s senior; LSDF. You’re the one who was summoned, right?”

“Oh, hello. I’m Ryuuji. Ah, I can’t pronounce your name, so can I just call you ‘Iris-sama’?”

“Nice to meet you. What do you call skdjf then?”

“It’s Alice.”

　Alice next to me muttered, “Is it alphabetical order?” but I ignored her. How did she know the alphabetical order? Thinking about it, how can words be understood in this world and in God’s realm? It would make things complicated, so I decided to pass for now.

　Saying that, she gave a soft laugh. It was the smile of a mature woman.

　Alice said and looked at me.

「It’s fine. If we can go back, that means everything will be normal, right? Now I just need to make sure this world is stable and my job is done, right?」

“That’s right. If there are no problems, mission accomplished.”

“Maybe I’ll become a wizard and return to Earth. That would be kind of interesting.”

　It would be pretty amazing if I could use magic on Earth. It would be like ‘I’ve been training in another world.’

“Magic?” Iris asked with a puzzled look on her face.

“Oh, I have to tell my sister.”

“Oh, I see. I’m now a wizard too. I don’t know if I can awaken others though.Still, it would be helpful if you could show me around the city.”

“But don’t you have any work at the inn?”

“It’s lunchtime in a little while, and there aren’t many customers today, so it’s okay.”

“I see, then I’ll leave it to you.”
