I Was Scammed By A Snow Leopard cub - Chapter 13
Chapter 13 – Shopping
As soon as they left the small castle, Luo Yu took Tuan Tuan and went straight to the point.
The location given by the landlord was not difficult to find, but what Luo Yu did not expect was that the house Wei Li bought would be in an independent plot next to the most prosperous commercial district on the main star.
Taking out the key from the wooden box, Luo Yu walked into the two-story villa, feeling a little weird.
From a remote small studio to a double-story house in a prime location on the main planet, such an incredible span actually happened quietly with a light key.
Luo Yu examined the room carefully, trying to grasp some weight from it: some drawings were stacked on the wooden table by the window, and next to the wooden table were scattered tools and materials.
These were left by his master, Wei Li. The kind landlord did not dispose of them at will, but always kept them in the same state as when Wei Li closed the door for the last time.
Luo Yu suddenly felt a lump in his throat and his eyes turned slightly red.
He walked over and picked up the blueprint on the table. It was a gorgeous brooch. In the center was a feather-shaped family crest, perhaps it was custom-made for a noble of the main star.
Curves, dimensions, annotations, the familiar handwriting seemed to still carry the remaining warmth of his master.
Luo Yu carefully put the drawings into his backpack and placed them in the innermost compartment.
In his mind, an idea slowly took shape.
In the following time, Luo Yu suppressed his inner emotions and checked the facilities in the house with the landlord who accompanied to confirm that everything was fine. There were not too many things added to the house, and the whole thing could be seen at a glance. Therefore, this work was quickly declared completed.
Luo Yu breathed a sigh of relief when he closed the door again with the key.
During the whole process, he was always worried whether he would lose control of his emotions in front of Tuan Tuan.
Fortunately, he managed to keep himself steady and didn’t let the cub see his miserable side.
After thanking the landlord, Luo Yu agreed to come in a few days to handle the transfer formalities. He set the time after the agreed deadline with Ying Cheng, on the one hand, he wanted to concentrate on taking care of Tuan Tuan, and on the other hand, he also wanted to think carefully about the follow-up matters.
He has yet to figure out the future of the studio.
After leaving the park, Luo Yu’s originally heavy mood slowly recovered. He glanced at the time and it was just past three o’clock in the afternoon.
The commercial district not far away had eye-catching signs even during the day. Luo Yu thought about it, squatted down and asked Tuan Tuan:
“It’s still early, do you want to go shopping together?”
The little cub tilted his head, as if thinking. After a while, he hesitated in his little voice: “Go shopping…? Tuan Tuan, is that okay?”
Luo Yu smiled: “Of course, but…”
He tapped the two little ears on the little guy’s head with his fingers.
“Tuan Tuan needs to tuck his ears and tail. Let’s try it, okay?”
Tuan Tuan nodded vigorously as if he had made a great decision. Then, under Luo Yu’s encouraging gaze, he clenched his fist.
The little cub closed his eyes tightly and seemed to be muttering something. Luo Yu listened carefully and found that the little cub was reciting the “spell” seriously.
“Ears, ears, the ears are gone! Tail, tail! The tail is gone too!”
Luo Yu didn’t know if it was the spell that worked, but after the cub’s fair and tender face turned red, his ears and tail actually disappeared with a “pop”.
Luo Yu was surprised and happy, and quickly kissed the red apple-like cheek.
“Tuan Tuan did a great job! He did it in no time! How could there be a kid as smart as Tuan Tuan in the world?”
The dazed cub was so overwhelmed by the praise that the roots of his ears hidden in his curly fur turned red, but because his whole body was red, it was not noticeable at all.
In Luo Yu’s opinion, the little cub with his tail and ears tucked in is still as cute as ever, and even a little more handsome.
Luo Yu saw a little bit of Xie Yingcheng’s shadow in Tuan Tuan’s outline and facial features.
‘Should we say that the son really looks like his father? It is not difficult to imagine what kind of beauty Tuan Tuan will be when he grows up.’ Luo Yu sighed as he led Tuan Tuan towards the commercial district.
Entering the main road, the flow of people on both sides gradually increased. Luo Yu held Tuan Tuan’s little hand tightly to avoid being separated by the flow of people. The cub, less than half a person’s height, followed closely beside Luo Yu, blinking his eyes constantly, watching the people coming and going.
Tuan Tuan’s eyes are timid and cautious when facing new things, but more of them are full of curiosity.
Luo Yu was always careful to prevent the cub from being hit by passers-by. After walking a short distance, his fingers were suddenly pinched gently.
When he turned around, Tuan Tuan’s face was a little nervous and his eyes were expectant.
“What’s wrong with Tuan Tuan?”
The little cub pursed his lips and carefully pointed to the wooden signboard of a roadside shop.
Luo Yu looked at it.
[Cub brand special healthy summer juice! Hot sale now!]
The picture attached is a cup of orange juice with a colorful paper umbrella inserted in it, surrounded by ice cubes carved into the shapes of various small animals. It looks very cute.
Luo Yu immediately understood the cub’s little thoughts, but he did not agree immediately. Instead, he pretended to be confused: “Hmm? What does Tuan Tuan want? You have to say what you want so that others can know it.”
The little guy bit his lip, and his little baby voice stuck together like melted candy: “Tuan Tuan wants to drink juice…”
Luo Yu smiled with satisfaction and said in a brisk voice: “Of course.”
Under Luo Yu’s encouraging gaze, Tuan Tuan cheered himself up and pushed open the glass door of the beverage shop.
The summer shell wind chimes made a series of brisk sounds, and the clerk in a yellow apron’s eyes lit up when she saw the customer who had just entered the store.
“Welcome! What can I do for you?”
Tuan Tuan was startled by the enthusiastic greeting. The little bit of courage he had mustered up was like a balloon that was poked, and the little glutinous rice ball ran back to Luo Yu’s back.
Luo Yu touched his curly hair with amusement, and said to the clerk apologetically: “Sorry, he is a little shy.”
The clerk waved his hands quickly: “Sorry, sorry, I scared the little customer. Excuse me, what would you like to drink?”
Luo Yu took a step to the side, exposing his small figure in front of the order counter.
“Tuan Tuan?”
The cub pursed his lips, took a deep breath, and mustered up his courage again: “P––please give me a glass of juice.”
As if he was afraid that he might not have given enough details after he finished speaking, he hurriedly added: “The one with the small umbrella!”
Luo Yu touched his chin and felt a sense of pride and satisfaction like a parent.
He had always felt that Tuan Tuan seemed to be very shy when interacting with people, so he wanted to take this opportunity to let the cub be more relaxed in front of people.
So far, the results seem to be pretty good. And…
The polite little cub who speaks in a baby voice is so adorable.
This made Luo Yu want to order all the drinks in the drink shop.
Soon, the summer juice with a small paper umbrella was placed in front of the cub, and Luo Yu also ordered a cup of “adult brand” to drink with him. There was no small paper umbrella, and the cup also evolved from a short and fat big-bellied cup to a tall and thin cup.
Luo Yu found a small round table by the window and sat down. Tuan Tuan sat obediently in the seat, raised his little face, circled the round glass with both hands, held it in his arms and took small sips.
Unconsciously, more and more people came into the store. Passersby kept looking over here, and the cute little cub unconsciously became a “living signboard”, which made people love him and their legs unconsciously stepped into the store.
After Tuan Tuan finished drinking the juice contentedly, he was startled by the crowded ordering counter behind him and subconsciously moved his little butt towards Luo Yu.
The little baby voice contained seven parts of confusion and three parts of panic: “Luo, Luo Luo, there are so many people…”
Luo Yu comforted him: “It’s okay. Tuan Tuan is a five-year-old child, he won’t be afraid of crowds, right?”
Although the huge crowd looked a bit scary, most of the glances they received were kind. In such an atmosphere, Tuan Tuan subconsciously straightened his chest.
He is no longer afraid of crowds or anything like that!
Luo Luo is right! He is a brave little cub!
The cub quickly relaxed and was excited: “Luo Luo! What are we going to do next?”
Luo Yu looked up and saw a sign in the large shopping mall opposite that said children’s products.
He gave a mysterious smile and leaned close to Tuan Tuan’s ear.
“Next… Next, Tuan Tuan, play a game with me, okay?”
Ten minutes later.
In the simple and bright high-end children’s clothing store, Tuan Tuan held the hem of his clothes tightly and shyly poked his little head out from behind the curtain of the fitting room.
“Luo Luo…”
Looking at the cub in the blue denim suit, Luo Yu’s eyes suddenly lit up.
‘So cute!’
‘Buy, buy, buy! This set must be bought!’
Luo Yu took out his personal terminal and took a few photos, then handed Tuan Tuan another matching pink hoodie with rabbit ears.
“Would you like to try this set too?”
The little cub with curly hair nodded obediently.
Although he didn’t know what the “Miracle Group” game that Luo Luo was playing with him was, the cub couldn’t help but giggle when he saw Luo Yu’s happy expression.
After trying on four or five sets in a row, the little guy was a natural clothes hanger, and each set looked better than the last. Luo Yu waved his hand and said, “Please pack up all the ones he just tried on.”
He entered the store empty-handed, and left with several scattered paper bags.
The cub hooked Luo Yu’s hand and volunteered: “Tuan Tuan will help you hold it!”
Who doesn’t love a caring little cub? Luo Yu felt warm in his heart, but he had other plans.
“Not for now. Wait a minute. Tuan Tuan needs to help me get something more important, okay?”
A few minutes later, Tuan Tuan stared at the largest toy store in the commercial district with his mouth wide open, his eyes filled with incredible light.
Good, a lot!
There are more toys here than his house!
Luo Yu looked at his little expression and felt proud.
Right! What kid doesn’t like toys?
Taking this opportunity, Luo Yu would buy some more to take back. He wanted to fill Tuan Tuan’s room with them so that the cute and well-behaved cubs could play happily at any time.
“Next is the second task of ‘Miracle Group’ – choose your favorite toy.”
“Reminder: Tuan Tuan can choose more than one.”
The cub’s eyes lit up completely, sparkling like two little stars.
In the next half hour, Luo Yu and Tuan Tuan walked through the two-story toy store.
Luo Yu discovered that Tuan Tuan’s way of choosing toys was very special.
Most ordinary pups love everything they see, and they stop to play with the ones they like. But Tuan Tuan is very different. He browses the shelves roughly and writes down the ones he likes. After going through the entire area, he spends a few minutes choosing between the ones he wrote down. Once he decides to give up, he will go to the next one without any regrets.
Like a little adult, first take a broad view of the situation, then look at it in a very targeted manner and make decisions decisively.
Whether it’s taking classes alone or picking toys, Tuan Tuan is always unexpectedly mature in some ways.
When Tuan Tuan passed by the plush area and couldn’t move his legs to the little rabbit doll, Luo Yu smiled with relief.
In essence, he is still a five-year-old kid.
When Tuan Tuan left the mall holding a white rabbit that was almost the same size as himself, Luo Yu still felt a little regretful: Tuan Tuan only bought the rabbit he was holding now. Luo Yu wanted to buy him more, but Tuan Tuan refused.
“That’s enough!” The little cub was satisfied with the new toy.
The little guy walked much slower than when he came, holding Luo Yu with one hand and holding the little rabbit tightly with the other, fearing that the white fur would touch the ground accidentally. Luo Yu was not in a hurry either, as he had already completed two-thirds of the task for today, with only the last one left.
When he came over just now, he saw the children’s amusement park.
“The last mission of ‘Miracle Group’.”
“Would you like to play whack-a-mole together?”
On the other side, Xie Yingcheng, who was sitting in the hovercraft, listened to Wen Yan’s chattering nonchalantly while clicking on the photo sent by Luo Yu.
The cub, wearing a pink bunny-ear hoodie, buried his little face happily in the stuffed toy, revealing two cute fangs.
Xie Yingcheng’s fingers unconsciously typed the name of the store behind the cub into the search box.
He looked out the window again and it was exactly two blocks away from his current location.
Xie Yingcheng decisively stopped Wen Yan: “I have my reasons for doing this, no need to explain.”
“Now, please turn around and go to the east entrance of the business district.”
Wen Yan’s voice suddenly stopped, and his face was filled with disbelief.
Did he hear it right?
Xie Yingcheng is going to the commercial district?
“You…you want to go shopping?”
Xie Yingcheng was too lazy to explain to him and simply nodded.
Wen Yan turned the hovercraft around in a trance, as if he was in a dream.
Is there anything more magical than the empire’s youngest admiral voluntarily resigning and going shopping?
He was indeed one of a kind.
