- Chapter 100 - To the Sea with Everyone
The day after Lucas’s request was completed, as planned, Saffy accompanied by Lumia visited the mansion.
Not only me, but Klaus and Nelge were also present, enjoying a pleasant conversation when Saffy suddenly spoke up.
“Shuu-kun, would you like to go to the sea?”
“Is it for gathering?”
“Seriously, you say the same thing as Lumia.”
Saffy chuckled at my question.
“If someone suddenly asks you to go to the sea, wouldn’t you think that?”
“Yeah, considering our professions, I’d think the same,” I replied, nodding firmly in agreement with Lumia’s empathetic inquiry.
If a master-class alchemist invites you, you naturally assume it’s related to their field.
“If it’s not for gathering, what’s the purpose of going?”
“What’s the purpose? Obviously, it’s to play.”
Saffy’s casual words surprised me a bit.
“Is there a culture of playing in the sea in this town?”
I’ve dived into the sea many times for salvage requests, but I’ve never seen people playing in the sea.
“Ah, Shuu-kun, the sea where you were active is known for its many monsters and is primarily focused on fishing, so it’s understandable you wouldn’t know.”
“People use the sea on the opposite side of where Shuu-san was active as a playground. It has fewer monsters and is safer.”
“I see. Then, I’d definitely like to visit the opposite side,” I replied.
It seems the area where I was active was a dangerous sea with many monsters. No wonder there were so many monsters in the sea and no one playing.
I’m glad there’s a culture of playing in the sea in this world.
“That sounds great! Let’s all go to the sea!”
“Nelge-sama and Klaus-sama, please join us as well,” Saffy said, and Nelge’s face lit up.
“Brother, may we also accompany them?”
“…I’m not going.”
Klaus flatly refused the proposal.
Seeing her brother’s unwavering stance, Nelge pouted and sent him a protesting look.
Yeah, Klaus definitely doesn’t seem like the type to play in the sea. I expected him to decline.
“That’s fine. Even if my brother doesn’t come along, I’ll go with everyone,” Nelge said.
“Hey, hey. What if you faint or something, even though you’re not very strong?”
“Well, then I suppose I’ll have Shuu-san take care of me, won’t I?”
Somehow, the siblings’ conversation sparks an exchange involving me.
And Klaus, please stop glaring at me for no reason.
“…I’m uneasy leaving it to this guy. I’ll come along too.”
“Thank you, Brother,” Nelge said with a satisfied smile as Klaus muttered reluctantly.
Then, she lightly bowed her head in apology and gratitude to me, who was being dragged into this.
Knowing that it was all just an excuse to get Klaus out, I didn’t feel uncomfortable about it.
In fact, I was very grateful because without Klaus, it would have been a high-level situation to go to the sea with only the women.

We prepared and set off, following Saffy for a while.
We arrived at Lindblum’s beach.
“Wow, this one is definitely much larger!”
I couldn’t help but let out a breath of admiration at the sight of the vast expanse of beach and sea.
The place I had been wasn’t as wide open as this, with harbors and mountains nearby.
In comparison, this place felt much more liberating. There were no fishing boats wandering around either.
On the beach, there were several parasol tents and makeshift chairs, and people were leisurely lounging around in swimsuits or swimming in the sea.
“They have swimsuits here too.”
“If they have them here, did your hometown have them too?”
“Since my hometown was an island nation.”
“I see.”
I panicked at Klaus’s unexpected question, but I wasn’t lying.
It’s just that my hometown doesn’t exist in this world.
Anyway, the swimsuits in this world are quite unique. Some have a lot of frills, while others are very revealing. There are quite a few eye-catching women as well.
“You can rent swimsuits at that shop over there. Let’s meet up after we’re done changing.”
“Understood.”
Swimsuits were neatly lined up in the shop pointed out by Saffy.
In addition to that, there were also umbrellas and chairs, so it seemed like everything necessary for playing in the sea was provided.
The men and women split up and entered the shop separately.
The men’s swimsuits were very simple. They were mostly trunks, with the only difference being in how much coverage they provided.
Klaus chose a pair of knee-length black swim trunks and a purple robe, then quickly went into the fitting room.
There’s no hobby of giggling and laughing among men while choosing swimsuits, but I think it wouldn’t hurt if he paid a little more attention to me.
For now, I chose navy blue swim trunks and a green robe since daring swimsuits weren’t my thing.
Trying on the pants in the fitting room, they fit perfectly.
The robe wasn’t too large either. It had a large hibiscus flower pattern, giving it a tropical vibe, which was surprisingly nice.
After finishing trying on the swimsuits, Klaus was already done settling the payment and waiting.
As women passing by the shop cast admiring glances at Klaus.
Though he clearly wasn’t enthusiastic about it, it was a bit irritating to see him look so good in a swimsuit.
“It doesn’t look weird, does it?”
“No, it’s fine.”
I was worried since I didn’t know much about their culture, but it seemed to be okay.
Since Klaus didn’t give me any weird looks, I settled the payment for the swimsuit and robe rental.
It seemed like we could leave our belongings, but I decided not to since I had many important items (especially my magic bag).
Klaus seemed to be carrying his own clothes.
“Hey, Lumia! How about this swimsuit? It’s see-through!”
“I’m not wearing such a swimsuit!”
“H-huh, the fabric is so sheer, and the coverage…”
As we finished settling the payment and stepped out of the shop, a familiar voice could be heard coming from where the women were.
While we couldn’t see inside, it was immediately apparent that they were picking out swimsuits and giggling.
“…What are they doing? Why does it take so long just to pick out swimsuits?”
Under the scorching sun, Klaus was getting irritated by the wait.
That’s something most men feel about women, but it’s impressive he’s saying it out loud.
“They’re probably enjoying choosing their outfits.”
“Aren’t they just picking out what suits them best?”
That’s our perspective, not paying much attention to clothes, but for fashion-conscious women like them, it’s probably different.
“If I were to use a pharmaceutical analogy, it’s like discussing what happens when you combine different materials, right?”
“Is it? Well, whatever. Let’s go set up the parasols ourselves.”
“Yeah, sounds good. It looks like it’s going to take a while longer.”
From the continued laughter we could hear, they probably hadn’t even entered the fitting rooms yet.
Since it would be a waste of time to wait outside, Klaus and I decided to borrow parasols and chairs and set them up in an available spot.
