Le Tian’s ears twitched as he turned his face into the pillow, resigned. Shen Lixing pulled the blanket over him, laid down, and held Le Tian, pressing his face against Le Tian’s butterfly-like bones. “Goodnight, my treasure,” he said.

Le Tian, with his face buried in the pillow, remained motionless, seemingly resigned to his fate.

The system had just triggered passive blocking and immediately guessed what had happened. Shen Lixing was lying next to Le Tian, and the system still holding onto a one-in-a-million hope, persistently asking, “… what did you guys do?”

“Played a game,” Le Tian said casually. “The kind where you pa(clapping sounds) and then I pa.”
