- Chapter 112 - The Sickly Yandere Incubus Who Tricked His Owner Into a Bond (17) “Even If You Chose Me by Mistake… I’ll Stay
Those clear amethyst-like eyes suddenly widened.
Xiang Zhi’ang stared at the projection screen in disbelief.
High-definition office surveillance captured every angle of his proud, beautiful face—even his unruly arrogance and the contemptuous smirk playing on his lips.
Xiang Zhi’ang?
Why was it him again?
Refusing to form a bond even if it killed him?
The assistant, noticing how dazed and stiff the young master had become, hurriedly offered him a cup of warm water and coaxed gently:
“Did something just come back to you?”
“Splash—!”
Xiang Zhi’ang threw the water straight into his face.
“Do you people have no shame?! What’s the point of slandering me like this? You really think I’d refuse to form a bond?”
“In this whole damn world, the person I love most is my master! If you’re gonna lie, at least try to make it believable!”
The assistant and Xiang Zhanhui: “……”
Xiang Zhi’ang was furious, swearing up a storm.
“You two ancient morons! It’s one thing to try and trick me with this garbage, but if you dare show this crap to my master, I’ll skin you both alive!”
There was no way he’d ever say something so blasphemous.
He knew full well the video was pieced together with deepfake tech. Still, what if Master got fooled? They must’ve planned this to blackmail him into submission. If so, it was already working.
He jerked his chin impatiently.
“Fine. You win. Say it—what do you want? Blood? Some rare part of me? Just don’t go overboard and I’ll give it to you.”
“You’ve completely lost your mind,” Xiang Zhanhui said flatly.
Xiang Zhi’ang sneered at the projection. “And you haven’t? You cooked up this smooth-brained, atrophied-lobe plot—who can out-crazy you?”
“Not bonding with my master? That’s the real torture!”
Just as father and son looked about ready to throw hands, the assistant stepped in quickly:
“Young Master, if you still don’t believe us, we’ve caught a suspect. You might want to take a look.”
He tapped his Bluetooth earpiece, and two bodyguards entered, dragging in a young woman.
Yu Ruowei was tossed onto the ground. As she struggled, a retractable electric baton rolled out from her belongings. The guards ripped off her gag and blindfold.
Xiang Zhi’ang froze. “What’s that?”
Even he didn’t notice the edge of panic lacing his voice.
That familiar baton—no way…
The assistant immediately picked it up and presented it with both hands.
“Young Master, it’s a high-voltage shock baton designed specifically for incubi. This woman had been watching you. From her phone, we found contact with a demon-hunting organization.”
The familiar silver logo gleamed on the handle.
Exactly the same one Master had been holding that day.
Blue veins bulged under Xiang Zhi’ang’s clenched grip, his fury exploding like a dam burst. The last shreds of reason in his mind were instantly washed away.
He had… really misunderstood his master.
Thinking back on how he’d mocked and tormented her these past few days, his entire body trembled uncontrollably. His organs twisted in pain.
She had told him the truth—why hadn’t he believed her? Why had he kept getting jealous of this so-called “Xiang Zhi’ang” like a fool?
He deserved to die.
And if those tools weren’t prepared by Master, then this stalker had been waiting for a chance to harm her while he was away!
Not only had he failed to protect her, he’d lashed out at her when she was terrified…
The brutal truth gave him a splitting headache. His violet eyes turned terrifyingly dark, filled with murderous rage like a beast on the verge of going berserk.
“Bang—!”
Yu Ruowei’s vision had just cleared. The sight of Xiang Zhi’ang, half-reclined on the bed, made her heart skip with excitement.
Had he finally come around?
Why else would they bring her here?
Before she could speak, a metal baton crackling with electricity came crashing down on her skull. Blood streamed from her head, and her entire body convulsed from the powerful shock.
“Xiang… ahh! I—it hurts! Ahhh!!”
The woman screamed in agony, writhing on the floor.
Everyone simply watched coldly. No one pitied her. The things demon hunters had done to incubi were far crueler than this light punishment.
Under the intense stress, Xiang Zhi’ang turned pale as a sheet. His lips pressed tightly together, and he passed out again.
Xiang Zhanhui glanced at the twitching woman and gave a cold order:
“Send her to the hospital. Don’t leave any legal loopholes. Xiang Group follows the law.”
“Yes, Chairman.”
By the time Su Ci left the company, the last ambulance was just pulling away. Nearby, a few people whispered excitedly about what had happened.
“Goodness, it was terrifying. A bunch of people with guns and batons—what were they trying to do?!”
“Thank heavens Xiang Group’s bodyguards stepped in, or they would’ve barged into the company. Completely lawless…”
“I heard they were after an incubus. Worth a fortune.”
“Give me a break. Using ‘incubus hunting’ as an excuse to attack someone in public—those bastards belong behind bars!”
A bad feeling rose in Su Ci’s chest. She looked around, but Xiang Zhi’ang was nowhere to be seen.
A sleek black car rolled to a stop beside her.
The driver dipped his head politely. “Miss Su, the young master—the incubus who detained you—has been taken by our chairman. He would like to speak with you.”
Xiang Family Estate.
Xiang Zhanhui had changed into formal wear, every strand of hair and beard immaculately groomed. He walked with refined composure to meet his guest.
Time had been kind to this incubus’ father. Though he resembled Xiang Zhi’ang in many ways and looked no older than forty, he was in fact pushing seventy.
Who would believe it?
Su Ci greeted him before he could speak.
“Uncle Xiang, what did you want to talk about?”
The man blinked, stunned by her beauty.
“Miss, you… you’re not an incubus?” he blurted out.
How could a human look like this?
“No, I’m not.”
“Forgive me. That was rude of me.”
The middle-aged man offered an apologetic smile. “Miss Su, I’m Xiang Zhi’ang’s father, Xiang Zhanhui. I apologize for all the trouble my son has caused you.”
He held a folder containing a prepared compensation plan and a property transfer contract. As he pushed it toward her, he hesitated.
Would ten billion be enough? Should he also cover emotional damages, physical trauma… maybe even offer her a good-looking boyfriend with decent background as an apology?
Su Ci smiled politely.
“It’s no trouble at all.”
“Zhi’ang is a hardworking, lovable incubus. I really like him—and I’ve already decided he’s the one I want to spend my life with. You don’t need to worry.”
Xiang Zhanhui was speechless. “But he kidnapped you…”
Su Ci refused to acknowledge it. “He didn’t. He’s just insecure and extra clingy, that’s all. Even if it was kidnapping, I’d go willingly.”
Xiang Zhanhui hadn’t expected this outcome.
He suddenly felt like the villain tearing lovers apart.
“Miss Su, I must inform you—he’s sick. He’s lost his memory. No matter how happy things seem now, your relationship is just a soap bubble waiting to burst.”
He looked grave. “Maybe take a look at this before making any decisions. Before the amnesia, he didn’t exactly treat masters or bonding very kindly.”
The assistant opened a laptop and played the video.
“I, Xiang Zhi’ang, would rather die from heat, be hunted like a monster, sleep on the streets and starve—
—than ever form a bond!”
The same video played again in a loop.
On screen, the young man’s intense and stubborn oath made Su Ci’s brow furrow slightly.
Author’s Note:
Ughhh I still haven’t finished this arc! I’m about to spiral into unhinged madness! Just thought of a super sweet bonus scene (though maybe it’ll turn out dumb once I write it—hard to say).
Flag planted right here: Tomorrow, I will finish this arc!
