Su Qingqing Sitting in Yu Xingye’s large office chair, she leaned over the desk and buried her face in her arms. Her blushing cheeks could be seen through her hair.

After Yu Xingye brought Su Qingqing into the office, he motioned her to sit here. Before he could say anything, Assistant Chen knocked on the door to remind her that the meeting was about to begin.

Yu Xingye squeezed Su Qingqing’s hand soothingly and said softly, “I have a meeting soon. Can you wait for me here?”

Su Qingqing didn’t look at him, but just nodded.

Yu Xingye opened the drawer, and it was full of snacks, all of which were Su Qingqing’s favorites.

“Here are the snacks.”

Yu Xingye looked at her sitting in his chair, and his possessiveness was greatly satisfied, but he said,

“I didn’t expect you to be willing to come so early. I can only ask you to sit here.”

Thinking of how Yu Xingye’s fangs were rarely exposed when he said this, Su Qingqing gritted her teeth and thought, “He is so hateful!”

After lying down for a while, Su Qingqing felt the heat on her face finally subside. She looked up and surveyed Yu Xingye’s office. The office was still in his distinctly Yu Xingye style ,

painted in black, white, and gray. Bookshelves lined the walls, brimming with books of all kinds. Su Qingqing glanced casually, noticing quite a few titles in original German or French.

Aside from the bookshelves, the entire office was bare except for the large chair Su Qingqing sat in and the oversized desk. There were no sofas for resting, no extra chairs, only a few vibrant plants.

The large floor-to-ceiling windows were spotlessly clean, leaving not a speck of dust even on the floor.

Su Qingqing rummaged through the snack drawer, pulled out a bag of chips, and leaned back in her chair to relax and eat.

The chair, custom-made for Yu Xingye’s build and habits, made Su Qingqing look even smaller. She suspected she could fit right into it.

After wiping her hands with a wet wipe, Su Qingqing stood up and walked over to the bookshelf to peruse.

Su Qingqing finally found a book that interested her among a large number of financial books – “The Lucifer Effect”.

Su Qingqing originally wanted to use this book to kill time, but she became fascinated by it.

When Yu Xingye pushed the door open, he saw Su Qingqing sitting in his chair, with her hands on his desk and her chin propped up, reading with great interest.

He walked closer quietly.

“What are you reading?”

Yu Xingye walked behind Su Qingqing, leaned down, and supported his hands on both sides of Su Qingqing. From the front, it looked like Yu Xingye was hugging her intimately.

“Is it good?”

“But it’s not as good-looking as yours.”

Yu Xingye placed one hand on Su Qingqing’s waist, holding her tightly, while the other rested on the back of her head, his thumb gently rubbing the cinnabar mole behind her ear, a gesture of possessiveness.

Then Yu Xingye straightened up slightly, and his voice returned to its cold state: “Come in.” Assistant Chen saw at a glance that behind the large desk, their big boss, who would frown and chase away others if they even got a little too close, was holding the little girl possessively, almost curling up her legs and pulling them into his arms.

Assistant Chen only took a glance and was frightened by Yu Xingye’s cold gaze and dared not take a step forward.

He immediately lowered his head and said respectfully: “Mr. Yu, there is an urgent document that needs your attention.”

Yu Xingye was a little impatient when he heard this. Su Qingqing pinched him, and he finally calmed down and replied: “Wait in the living room.”

Assistant Chen nodded and quickly turned and left.

Yu Xingye lowered his head and teased Su Qingqing: “You’re quite brave.”

Su Qingqing pinched him again, and her eyes were full of pampering when she looked at him. She supported her hands on Yu Xingye’s chest and straightened up slightly: “Is it not good?”

Yu Xingye helped her smooth her messy hair and curled the corners of his mouth: “Okay, anything is fine.”

Su Qingqing’s feet, which had been hanging in the air, finally landed on the ground. After leaving Yu Xingye’s arms, she suddenly felt a little cold.

Yu Xingye took off his coat and put it on Su Qingqing, whispering: “I’m outside, call me if you need anything.”

Su Qingqing nodded, and after Yu Xingye closed the door, she slumped in the chair, unable to help but recall the touch just now. Her cheeks gradually flushed, and her eyes were filled with tears.

Su Qingqing took up the coat draped over her shoulders and covered herself with it. Yu Xingye’s scent was too invasive. She had intended to hide herself and calm down, but this movement only made her heart beat faster.

Outside Yu Xingye’s office was the reception room. Through the door that wasn’t closed tightly, Su Qingqing could hear Assistant Chen’s report and Yu Xingye’s occasional response.

He was cold and distant, his words short and simple, a stark contrast to what he had just said.
