Chapter 5 – After-effects of Last Night

He seemed to be floating in the sea.

The warm sun shined all over his body, and the charming and pleasant scent was all over him as he breathed.

The Omega in his sleep couldn’t help but grab the only piece of driftwood beside him, which was his only support in the ups and downs of the sea.

But the waves were so large that they made him feel dizzy and tremble.

It was not until the dense white waves finally disappeared near the coastline that Chen Xun could finally open his eyes, enduring the pain in his body.

He could hear the sound of a man’s breathing .

Chen Xun turned his head and looked at Lian Xufeng’s calm face, feeling a mixture of emotions rushing at him all at once.

He would have never imagined a day where he would wake up to find the person he had been thinking about day and night, sleeping right next to him.

Chen Xun pinched his cheek as hard as he could until it turned red and the pain spread. Only then, he finally realised that it was not a dream.

He and Lian Xufeng had actually done it…

The weak Omega subconsciously touched his own gland, but the inhibition patch fell off loosely at his touch. Surrounding his gland were bite marks which the Alpha had made in his struggle of wanting to control himself.

Fortunately, he wasn’t marked completely.

Chen Xun’s heart, which had risen to his throat, slowly sank back into his chest.

In order for an Alpha to fully mark an Omega, he needs to bite the gland during the union and inject his own pheromones into the Omega’s glands.

However, the compatibility between him and Lian Xufeng was extremely low. If they rashly proceeded with a complete marking, a rejection reaction was likely to occur, and both of their bodies would suffer great harm.

Fortunately, Lian Xufeng had not completely lost his mind yesterday.

Chen Xun felt somewhat relieved and turned to look at the Alpha sleeping beside him.
