Six Ring Wizard - Chapter 184
Chapter 184: Meeting Malcolm Again
The Heart of the Ocean necklace was indeed extravagant, with its large gemstone and lavish decorations.
Such a luxurious necklace required a certain grace and beauty to wear it well.
Lilian wore it perfectly, her looks and aura complementing the necklace rather than being overshadowed by it.
On Lilian, the Heart of the Ocean seemed like a simple accessory.
“Looks great. By the way, here’s the 500 gold coins I borrowed from you, paid back with five magic stones,” Helag said, handing over a pouch.
Lilian rolled her eyes, “Keep it. Do you dislike my things that much? I’ve used this pouch since I was a child.”
Helag quickly pocketed the pouch, smiling, “Understood.”
“I didn’t expect you to advance without relying on Moonlight Woodland. Impressive,” Lilian remarked.
Helag replied, “Mostly thanks to Teacher Larry. Without him, I couldn’t have done it.”
He spoke the truth; without Larry’s help, he might have perished in the war with Green Cottage.
Lilian nodded, “You found a good teacher. Has Malcolm been bothering you?”
Helag shook his head, “I haven’t encountered him yet. With Mr. Brack’s protection, I don’t worry about it.”
They strolled through Augustus Academy’s paths, surrounded by book-carrying wizard apprentices.
The scene resembled a university campus, with benches for reading or chatting couples.
Lilian leaned closer, “Don’t worry, I’ve had my teacher warn Malcolm. If he bothers you again, he won’t get away with it.”
Lilian’s tone was assertive, confident in dealing with Malcolm.
“Thank you, Princess Lilian! But what if I trouble him?” Helag joked.
Lilian retorted, “You trouble him? If you’re seeking death, I can’t help.”
Helag chuckled, not explaining further.
Currently, he wasn’t quite ready to confront Malcolm, but in time, that might change.
Helag and Lilian wandered, enjoying the campus atmosphere.
As they strolled, a blond, blue-eyed man approached, exuding wealth.
Seeing Lilian, he excitedly called, “Lilian!”
Lilian turned, “What is it, Klaus?”
Klaus jogged over, “Haven’t seen you in a while. Since becoming a formal wizard, you rarely attend classes.”
“I’ve been adjusting, so I’ve attended fewer classes,” Lilian replied.
“And this is?” Klaus noticed Helag, politely inquiring.
“This is my friend, no need to ask more,” Lilian said, not wanting Helag involved in trouble, not even introducing him.
Klaus nodded courteously, “I see, a friend from another wizard organization, perhaps. I haven’t seen you before.”
“Why ask so much? Does it concern you?” Lilian snapped.
Klaus quickly bowed, “My mistake, sorry for intruding.”
He apologized and swiftly left.
Lilian sighed, “He’s so annoying. He’d attend any class I took, impossible to shake off.”
“A simp, then?” Helag laughed.
Lilian looked puzzled, “What’s a simp?”
Helag awkwardly explained, “Uh… just means a pursuer.”
Lilian waved dismissively, “Forget it, his whole family is crazy.”
“Crazy?” Helag asked, confused.
Lilian glanced around, casting a soundproof spell, whispering to Helag, “Their family has many offspring, but their relationships…”
***
Helag was stunned, his worldview shattered.
To create purebloods, they acted inhumanely, a family of crazies. (tln : might be an incestious family, those who breed with the same family)
No wonder Lilian was so disgusted. Helag felt queasy, relieved he hadn’t shaken hands with Klaus.
After years of experiences, Helag felt many wizards needed psychological help, many being quite twisted.
Helag and Lilian continued walking, encountering another familiar face.
“So, you’re here too,” Malcolm smiled, his freckles prominent.
Helag hadn’t expected to see Malcolm at Augustus Academy.
“What are you doing here?” Helag asked.
He wasn’t afraid of Malcolm anymore, confident in his abilities.
Besides, this was Augustus Academy; Malcolm wouldn’t dare act here.
Malcolm shrugged, “I’m here to enroll for the test!”
Helag was puzzled, “You’re not over sixty?”
“Of course not, I’m only fifty-five,” Malcolm replied.
Helag was shocked; he hadn’t realized Malcolm was so young.
At fifty-five, Malcolm was already a powerful crystallized wizard.
Helag didn’t show surprise, musing, “If Luen were alive, he might be here for the test too. What a pity.”
Malcolm’s smile vanished, replaced by a frosty glare.
“Are you looking for trouble?” Malcolm growled.
“Yeah, come on, hit me!” Helag spread his arms, feigning defiance.
Malcolm fumed, his face red, magic aura fluctuating.
Lilian scolded, “Do you want to die?”
Malcolm calmed, realizing where he was.
“I warn you, if anything happens to Helag during the test, whether he trips or gets hurt, I’ll blame you! Touch my… my friend, and I’ll kill you,” Lilian threatened.
Malcolm controlled his emotions, turning away silently.
By now, many Augustus Academy wizards had gathered, standing near Lilian.
Their stance suggested any move from Malcolm would prompt immediate action.
In the Barrens, no one bullied Augustus Academy members, especially not within the academy.
