Six Ring Wizard - Chapter 350
Chapter 350: The Basin
Surveying the surroundings, Helag realized he was in a massive basin.
Rainwater quickly pooled, rising to Helag’s waist within minutes.
Helag was in his Power of the Titan form, standing four meters tall.
The plant had vanished, submerged underwater.
Looking around, the area had transformed into a black lake.
Heavy rain fell, with raindrops growing larger.
The rain was highly unusual, prompting Helag to swim towards the shore, eager to leave.
Suddenly, a force pulled him underwater.
Without footing, Helag was dragged down.
The pull was strong, leaving Helag helpless as he was drawn to the lake’s bottom.
In the underwater, he saw the plant glowing green, surrounded by intense magical energy.
Uncertain of the plant’s nature, Helag knew he couldn’t be pulled closer.
With no leverage, Helag’s strength was useless, and he watched himself drawn toward the plant.
Staying calm, Helag considered solutions, avoiding futile struggles.
Moments later, Helag extended his left hand, retrieving two fire lizard bombs from his spatial ring, throwing them downward and detonating them.
The explosions created a small mushroom cloud underwater.
The water churned, pushing Helag upwards.
The upward force weakened the pull from below.
Seeing results, Helag threw two more bombs, repeating the process.
After several attempts, Helag was propelled to the surface.
Barely surfacing, he glimpsed the torrential rain above.
The pull from below dragged him back down.
Helag threw two more bombs.
Adjusting his angle, he propelled himself diagonally, moving closer to the shore.
The pull persisted, but each bomb propelled Helag closer to the surface and shore.
Thankfully, he had prepared well, with 87 bombs remaining, enough for his escape.
After using 19 bombs, Helag reached the shore.
The farther he was from the plant, the weaker the pull.
Climbing ashore, Helag felt grounded, gaining a sense of security.
Looking back, a vast black lake had formed.
Rain continued to fall, and Helag walked away on muddy ground, distancing himself from the lake.
After walking about a kilometer, he left the rain’s reach.
Looking back, the sky was still overcast, rain pouring.
Here, though not sunny, it wasn’t raining, and the ground was dry.
It was like two different worlds.
Reflecting on his experience, Helag understood why the area was devoid of life.
The subtle basin was likely the plant’s hunting ground.
Any creature entering would face the same ordeal.
Even Helag nearly fell victim; less intelligent creatures would be dragged underwater.
What happened underwater was unknown, but likely unpleasant.
In underwater, Helag felt a strong sense of danger.
He sensed that nearing the plant would mean no return.
The plant’s power was strange, affecting such a large area, beyond Helag’s current capabilities.
Fortunately, the plant couldn’t move, unable to pursue him.
Determining his direction, Helag continued east.
“Night is falling…”
Helag noted the darkening sky, feeling uneasy.
Night was always more dangerous, especially in the polluted zone.
In a forest, Helag could find shelter for the night.
But here, he couldn’t determine safe areas.
After the worm attack, Helag felt nowhere was safe.
Anywhere, he might be eaten by a worm in his sleep.
Helag observed but found no relatively safe places.
As darkness fell, the night descended.
Looking up, no stars were visible.
At night, darkness reigned, with no light.
Elsewhere, moonlight might illuminate the path.
Here, it was pure darkness, with no light source.
Helag’s vision was unhindered, seeing clearly in the dark.
He considered finding a safe spot for the night.
But realizing he couldn’t identify safe areas, he decided to travel at night, aiming to reach the Land of Dawn sooner.
The journey grew monotonous, with eternal darkness and silence.
As he traveled, Helag checked his condition.
Since absorbing the Core of the Divine, he hadn’t assessed himself.
Helag was curious about its effects.
The Core of the Divine was absorbed by his bloodline mark, but couldn’t be fully activated in the wizard plane.
Helag sensed that in the Abyssal Plane, activating his bloodline mark would make him stronger.
“This can enhance my power…” Helag noted the method.
Unfamiliar with the Core of the Divine, he hadn’t known this path to strength.
Now, the Thunder God bloodline could continue to strengthen.
“Hmm? My mental power…”
Helag noticed his mind was fully saturated with liquefied mental power.
Next, he needed to compress it, approaching the crystallized wizard stage.
