Chapter 403: Irina
Helag explained the situation in detail. Since he wasn’t in Silvermoon City and didn’t know anyone here, he had to be cautious.
The red-haired female wizard in front of him, despite her fiery appearance, exuded the powerful magical aura of a second-level wizard—definitely not someone to mess with.
“Let me see your communication stone,” the red-haired wizard, Irina, said.
Helag, aware of his imposing size due to his current form, carefully handed over the stone, moving slowly to avoid alarming the wizards.
Irina inspected the stone, verifying his identity.
“I’m Irina, head of the Crystal City Security Department. Your communication stone checks out, but what’s with this form?” she asked.
Helag didn’t look like a normal human in his current state. If not for the absence of a demonic aura, Irina would have attacked him on sight.
“It’s a spell I developed myself. It grants me enhanced physical strength,” Helag explained, keeping the details brief.
“Developed it yourself?” Irina looked at him skeptically.
She then said, “Dispel this form. I need to see your original appearance.”
There was no way Irina would let someone of Helag’s size enter the city, even if his identity was verified. She needed to confirm his true form before allowing him in.
Helag hesitated. “If I revert, I’ll be…”
“Without clothes? Please, I’m older than your grandmother. Stop being so shy,” Irina said impatiently, raising an eyebrow.
Helag chuckled awkwardly. Since she didn’t mind, he had no choice.
With a thought, he dispelled the Power of the Titan form, shrinking back to his original size.
However, he was now completely naked, standing in front of Irina and her team.
Irina glanced down and smirked, “Not bad, you’ve got something there.”
Helag quickly retrieved a robe from his spatial ring and put it on.
He noticed Irina’s gaze and felt as if she were eyeing him like a predator sizing up prey.
Once dressed, Helag glanced at Irina. She had long, flowing red hair and a curvaceous figure.
Even though she wore a robe, her prominent features were hard to miss.
From her appearance alone, it was impossible to guess her age.
Irina noticed Helag’s quick glance and was surprised by his boldness. Most first-level wizards wouldn’t dare look at her like that.
Meanwhile, two of Irina’s subordinates sprayed a solution on Helag and David, checking for any signs of contamination.
Once the checks were complete, they were cleared to enter the city.
“Everything’s fine. You can go in now. Oh, and add me on your communication stone,” Irina said, looking at Helag.
Helag wasn’t sure why she wanted to add him, but she was a second-level wizard, and it didn’t seem wise to refuse.
After adding her as a contact, Helag said, “Lady Irina, I have something important to report. I discovered a dimensional rift in the polluted zone.”
Helag hadn’t forgotten his main objective and got straight to the point.
Irina, who had been eyeing Helag with a curious expression, immediately became serious. “A dimensional rift? What happened?”
“When I went to find David, I discovered an Abyssal cultist performing a ritual to open a passage to the Abyssal Plane. I intervened, but I was too late. A small rift has already formed,” Helag explained.
“Take me there,” Irina said without hesitation.
Only Helag and David knew the exact location of the rift, but with David injured, Helag was the only one who could lead the way.
“Alright,” Helag nodded.
Irina pulled out her communication stone, sending several messages, likely alerting others.
David was then escorted into Crystal City by Irina’s subordinates for treatment.
Helag, meanwhile, led Irina toward the polluted zone to inspect the rift.
As they prepared to leave, Irina’s body surged with magical energy. The ends of her long red hair ignited in flames, and fire flickered along her pale legs and arms.
“Which direction?” Irina asked.
“That way,” Helag pointed south.
“Let’s go.”
In a flash, Irina transformed into a blaze of fire, disappearing far into the distance, almost beyond Helag’s line of sight.
Helag quickly activated Power of the Titan to boost his speed and chased after her.
But Irina was far too fast. He couldn’t keep up.
“Hurry up!” Irina’s voice echoed from ahead.
Helag took a deep breath and pushed himself to run faster.
After a while, he still couldn’t see her, but he heard her voice again, “Faster!”
“I’m going as fast as I can,” Helag muttered in frustration.
Suddenly, a flash of red light appeared, and Irina was standing in front of him. “At this pace, we’ll never get there.”
Helag sighed. He was relying on his physical strength to run, while Irina was using magic to fly at incredible speeds. They weren’t even in the same league.
Irina thought for a moment and said, “Revert to your normal form. I’ll carry you.”
Helag knew this was the only solution. Otherwise, it would take over a day to reach the rift.
And with Irina’s impatient nature, there was no way she’d wait that long.
Helag dispelled the Power of the Titan form, and the next thing he knew, his face was pressed against something soft.
When he came to his senses, he realized Irina had scooped him up, and they were speeding through the air.
“Wait, I’m not wearing any clothes!” Helag said, embarrassed.
Irina held his head against her chest with one hand and said, “There’s no one else around. Who cares if you’re naked? Just point the way.”
Helag had no choice but to comply. He didn’t have the strength to resist, and frankly, he didn’t mind the comfort.
He focused on the surroundings, carefully watching the terrain to guide her.
Two hours later.
“Adjust left a bit,” Helag corrected their course.
Irina glanced in that direction and said, “I can sense it now. It’s over there.”
