Little Yan, Save Me
Two black-clad disciples held Qin Gou down, forcing his knees to bend as they tried to make him kneel before Gu Xunhe.
Qin Gou struggled fiercely, then suddenly shouted, “Wait! I have a secret to share with the Young Master. I believe once he hears it, he’ll gladly let me leave unharmed.”
“Oh?” Gu Xunhe raised an eyebrow, smirking contemptuously. “Speak.”
Hearing this, the two disciples stopped pressing Qin Gou down.
Qin Gou glanced around mysteriously, then said in a low voice, “It’s a secret related to why the Sect Master values me so highly. Please, Young Master, lean in closer.”
Gu Xunhe hesitated briefly before dismissing his subordinates and gesturing for Qin Gou to approach. With Qin Gou’s mere Weapon Refining Realm cultivation, Gu Xunhe didn’t see him as a threat.
Qin Gou slowly walked up to Gu Xunhe, who wore a smug smile. Leaning close, Qin Gou whispered, “Young Master, do you know how much of a jerk you are?”
“What did you say?!” Gu Xunhe’s face darkened with rage as he glared at Qin Gou. But before he could react, Qin Gou threw a handful of bright red powder—legendary ghost pepper powder he had just purchased from the system store for 10 merit points—straight into Gu Xunhe’s face.
“Poof!”
The crimson powder exploded across Gu Xunhe’s handsome face like a firework. His eyes instantly reddened, tears and snot streaming uncontrollably. “Ah! My eyes! It burns! You lunatic!”
“Eat this!” Qin Gou roared, putting all his strength into a slap that whirled through the air before landing squarely on Gu Xunhe’s face.
Smack!
Gu Xunhe stumbled backward, falling flat on his back. Clutching his stinging cheek, he screamed like a slaughtered pig, “Kill him! Kill this wretch!”
The scene unfolded like a whirlwind. Between the ghost pepper powder and the slap, Gu Xunhe had been utterly humiliated before he could even react. His subordinates stared in disbelief, their faces pale. Did this guy just slap the Young Master? Does he have a death wish?

Ding. “Hit the child, pain the parent!” Congratulations, Host, for delivering a life-altering lesson to Gu Xunhe, the Young Master of the Seed Demon Holy Sect. Reward: Immediate breakthrough to the peak of the Weapon Refining Realm.

Qin Gou felt his cultivation surge, satisfaction washing over him.
“Qin Gou, you’re dead!”
“You little bastard, prepare to die!”
The female cultivator and the black-clad disciples charged at Qin Gou in a frenzy.
“Still Water Reflects the Mirror!”
Gripping his black staff-sword tightly, Qin Gou unleashed an invisible ripple of energy that radiated from him, momentarily stunning everyone in the room for at least three seconds.
Drained of spiritual energy, Qin Gou wasted no time. With a quick movement, he bolted out of the chamber, running for his life.
“What are you all standing around for? Kill that bastard! Chase him to the ends of the earth if you have to!” Gu Xunhe roared, clutching his swollen face. His furious screams jolted his subordinates into action, and they began their pursuit.
“Qin Gou, you can’t escape!”
“I’ll take your head to appease the Young Master!”
Spiritual tools and life-bound artifacts lit up with dazzling brilliance as the disciples unleashed their attacks, showing no mercy. Qin Gou parried desperately with his staff-sword, his movements precise and calculated, but he avoided prolonged combat, focusing solely on escaping.
“Little Yan, oh Little Yan, where are you? If you don’t show up soon, your Brother Qin is done for!” Qin Gou cried internally.
Finally, up ahead, he spotted two familiar figures. Tears of relief welled up in his eyes.
Before entering the chamber earlier, Qin Gou had secretly signaled Chen Keshai with a series of hand gestures only the two of them understood, instructing him to fetch Gu Feiyan for help. The chubby disciple had delivered, bringing the eldest miss of the sect just in time.
“Little Yan, save me!” Qin Gou wailed dramatically. “Your brother has gone mad! I refused to work for him, and he slapped me, humiliated me, and even threw pepper powder in my eyes! Look, I have the evidence right here—this bag of pepper powder. I swear I’m innocent!”
Hearing this, Gu Feiyan’s icy gaze darkened, her beautiful eyes flashing with fury. In an instant, she used her movement technique to appear in front of Qin Gou. Her black whip cracked against the ground, her voice cold and commanding. “Anyone who dares lay a hand on him… dies!”
The pursuing disciples froze, their faces filled with hesitation and fear. None dared to take another step forward.
However, Gu Feiyan hadn’t said she wouldn’t act herself. Her whip lashed out, striking one of the black-clad disciples so hard that he screamed in agony, his skin splitting open.
“Third Miss, please don’t go too far. We’re under the Young Master’s orders to pursue Qin Gou. If you wish to stop us, you should consult the Young Master first,” the female cultivator said through gritted teeth.
“Slap her,” Gu Feiyan said coldly.
With a wave of her delicate hand, the female cultivator was sent flying like a broken kite, coughing up blood as she landed. She looked at Gu Feiyan in terror.
“Gu Feiyan, have you lost your mind?!”
At that moment, Gu Xunhe finally arrived, his face freshly cleaned of the ghost pepper powder. Seeing his subordinates beaten so badly, he erupted in rage.
“You attacked my people first,” Gu Feiyan said with a cold smile. “I’m merely returning the favor.”
“You attacked my people? Are you kidding me? What did I do?!” Gu Xunhe shouted, pointing at his still-swollen face. He looked like he might faint from anger.
Gu Feiyan turned to Qin Gou. “Explain what happened.”
Qin Gou put on a pitiful expression. “The Young Master is truly the most domineering figure in the sect. All I did was politely decline his offer to work for him, and he slapped me, threatened to imprison me, and planned to torture me! I barely escaped with my life. Please, Senior Sister, save me!”
“Then what about the handprint on his face?” Gu Feiyan asked skeptically.
“Uh, there was a mosquito on his face. He swatted it himself but didn’t control his strength,” Qin Gou said with a straight face.
“You heard him?” Gu Feiyan said, her tone mocking as she looked at Gu Xunhe. “Big Brother, you haven’t changed a bit. Still enjoying your old tricks of imprisoning people?”
“Ridiculous! He’s lying! I hadn’t even done anything yet when this insolent fool slapped me first! And now he’s spouting lies to you! I swear I’ll tear him apart limb by limb!” Gu Xunhe roared, his face twisted with rage.
Gu Feiyan chuckled. “Do you take me for a three-year-old? You’re the Sect Master’s eldest son, a prominent figure in the sect. Qin Gou is just an inner disciple. Do you really think he’d dare slap you? If I recall correctly, not even Father has ever slapped you, right?”
Gu Xunhe’s eyes filled with tears as he nodded in agreement.
That had been his exact thought from the beginning.
