- Chapter 150 - Tara's Dream Space and the Society of Merriment (3/4)
“Lord Ciel won’t have problems. It must be my problem…” Tara held the carving knife against her wrist. A bloody line appeared. With just a slight movement, she would cut open a gash that wouldn’t stop bleeding.
No, can’t let her get injured inside. As long as she’s injured, the difficulty of constructing sensations will increase several times! It might even cause the other party to suddenly not feel pain!
As long as the other party doesn’t feel pain, the pain will disappear!
Must stop her!
Merritt’s brain worked frantically. The only person she could think of who could stop Tara now was the young girl in the bathroom.
“Tara?” Under Merritt’s control, the young girl inside the bathroom spoke, stopping the action in Tara’s hand.
“Yes, Lord Ciel, I am here.” Tara quickly lowered the carving knife, half-knelt before the bathroom door, and said respectfully.
What next?
What should I do next?
The air was silent for a moment. Realizing she couldn’t stay silent any longer, Merritt could only brace herself and have the young girl inside continue, “Come in.”
“Huh?” Tara was stunned. She listened to the sound of water inside, confirmed she hadn’t misheard, then slowly rose, reached out, and pushed open the bathroom door.
“Lord Ciel…?”
Merritt saw the beautiful young girl sitting in the bathtub almost at the same time as Tara. She watched Tara slowly walk in, somewhat powerlessly raising her hand to her forehead.
What to do… Her first mission, just like this, failed?
How long did she hold back that archbishop? 3 minutes? 5 minutes?
This amount of time was definitely not enough for Miss Mary to complete her mission.
Merritt’s thoughts were completely in disarray. She subconsciously controlled the beautiful young girl named Ciel to say, “Come here, help me with my clothes.”
What is this! Isn’t this the tone used when ordering a maid? The person opposite is an archbishop!!!
“Okay, Lord Ciel.”
But Tara seemed to have no complaints at all. Instead, she picked up the clothes beside her and walked directly towards the bathtub.
Huh?
An esteemed archbishop being ordered around like this without losing her temper?
She didn’t even question why there was a bathtub full of clean hot water in a guest room’s bathroom?
The red-haired young girl had already gotten up from the bathtub, preparing to step out. But at this moment, Merritt was completely flustered. The red-haired young girl, who hadn’t been set up with the “stepping out of the bathtub” action, accidentally hooked her fair little foot on the edge of the bathtub, and her entire body fell forward.
It’s over. It’s completely over now.
“Lord Ciel! Be careful!”
Tara quickly stepped forward, raised her hand to block Ciel, but seemingly didn’t notice the slippery floor. Under this lunge, she fell directly to the ground.
The naked red-haired young girl, just like that, fell onto the archbishop, completely losing any semblance of a superior’s dignity.
“Character setting” collapsed.
Merritt watched the scene before her, feeling somewhat on the verge of collapse.
She seemed to have already anticipated the archbishop realizing her superior had been replaced and then realizing it was a dream.
But the archbishop named Tara just didn’t move.
Since Merritt had completely given up control, the red-haired young girl just lay there motionless.
Only, Merritt had been watching this scene for a while, and her face felt hot.
Anyway, it’s already collapsed, so why not…
Collapse a bit more, completely destroy the logic. Maybe that will stun the other party, dragging it out a bit longer.
Merritt controlled the red-haired young girl to directly lean forward and kiss Tara on the lips.
Feeling the softness on her lips, Tara’s brain almost exploded. Almost instinctively, she tightly hugged the other person, turned, and pinned her down.
“Ciel… Lord Ciel?”
Tara’s sanity seemed to exist for only an instant before being instantly overwhelmed. She directly bent down and quickly stripped off her clothes with her hands.
Merritt watched everything happening inside with wide eyes, swallowing hard.
The sight of two beautiful girls intertwined made her heart race, her face flushed red. Her legs went weak, and she sank to the floor, just watching the scene inside. Subconsciously, she slowly reached her hand downwards.
…
“Merritt? Merritt?”
“It’s over, Merritt. You did very well. You’re already better than me.”
“Merritt?”
“Get a basin of water. Don’t let her get trapped any longer.”
Splash—
Merritt, lying on the ground, instantly shot up after a basin of water was splashed on her, panting heavily.
The flush on her face hadn’t faded. She subconsciously clamped her legs together, slowly calming her heartbeat and breathing.
Fortunately, the basin of water somewhat covered her embarrassment.
“Are you alright?” The captain’s voice came from above.
Merritt looked up at the captain, then quickly averted her gaze. She seemed to have completely lost interest in this gentle captain; her mind was full of the scene she just witnessed.
So… this is the different “merriment” the organization talks about, that everyone pursues?
Is this what I need to pursue?
“How did you do it?” Mary, beside her, rubbed her chest, which still seemed to be in phantom pain, asking, “That cultist was too exaggerated… I just said one extra sentence and she noticed. I didn’t dare to modify her perception at all.”
Of course, what Mary didn’t know was that if she had really tried to modify the perception, she would likely have turned into a monster by now.
“I… I…” Merritt stammered, but couldn’t form a complete sentence for a long time.
She simply didn’t know how to describe what she saw just now—or rather, she didn’t want anyone else to know.
“She is completely obedient to the red-haired young girl. As long as I controlled that young girl… and made her wait in place, she would keep waiting, even if she starved to death, she wouldn’t leave.” Merritt spoke, saying something that was somewhat correct.
“Yes, it’s too exaggerated.” Mary chimed in, “What kind of charm does this young girl have? Making a cultist archbishop listen to her like that…”
“It’s fine. It’s hard to start here, so we won’t start here… How are the preparations for the uprising going? Time to attract the higher-ups from Ansu.”
“Still waiting for news, Captain.” The painter shook his head and said, “That Excellency seems to be waiting for things to get even bigger… More and more factions are getting involved now.”
“Does he still want a perfect ritual…”
“No, perhaps he simply finds it more interesting this way…”
“Hehe, it’s indeed interesting…”
