Chapter 13: A Small Wizard Meets a Great Wizard

After the first round of the competition, everyone became familiar with the rules and procedures of today’s game. They gradually got into the groove, and the atmosphere became increasingly heated.

“I must win this back!”

Matsushita was infuriated and determined, clenching her fists tightly.

Akiyuki found her reaction somewhat amusing.

“So spirited! Well, you can sing first.”

“In first place again, the couple of Kurosawa and Yuki, with 183 points… Kurosawa, didn’t you say you rarely sing? How come your love songs are so good, with 98 and 95 again?”

Shiina announced the rankings again, looking very disappointed.

“I really don’t sing much, but I take my music classes seriously, and I’ve done some research on singing techniques.” Kurosawa explained, spreading his hands.

In reality, his music classes didn’t go very well, but at this point, admitting that he didn’t study seriously would be too disheartening.

Facing this question, Ichinose looked at Kurosawa beside her and said, “I didn’t find him, he offered himself.”

“He offered himself?”

Matsushita was curious.

Shiina also became interested.

“About a year and a half ago, I got into Tokyo University and came to Tokyo. On my first train ride to university, I met Yuki-chan. When I saw her for the first time on the train, I thought she was exceptionally beautiful. After hesitating for a few stations, I finally mustered the courage to strike up a conversation.”

Facing the onlookers, Kurosawa smiled as he spoke.

Hinata agreed when he heard this.

“Yuki is indeed beautiful.”

Although each girl in this “hot girl” group had her own unique beauty, when it came to looks and figure, Ichinose was definitely the most beautiful. Their buddies, having seen her photos, couldn’t help but feel envious.

However, Kurosawa felt that her version was too similar to a romantic drama, so he completely rewrote it to be more realistic and believable.

Fortunately, her friends didn’t care about how they met; they were more interested in where Ichinose’s first date was and what the experience was like.

The subsequent encounters were quite ordinary, like exchanging Line IDs, getting to know each other’s interests, from school to hobbies. 

The key point of this encounter emphasized a core principle: it was fast, accurate, and decisive.

First day acquaintance, second day online communication, third day dating, fourth day going out—it all happened swiftly.

“I told you it’s very ordinary,” Matsushita said.

“Taking four days for a “breakthrough,” that’s slower than I imagined,” Akiyuki also found it ordinary and commented.

“Four days is slow?” Kurosawa was a bit dumbfounded.

In his view, going from dating to making a “breakthrough” in four days was already incredibly fast.

“I went to a hotel with him on the first night we met,” Akiyuki nodded, pointing to her beside the tough-looking boyfriend.

“That night, my buddies and I were street racing, and we saw her walking alone on the street. We approached her, started a conversation, and took her with us for street racing,” Hinata, wearing a windbreaker with a revealed chest, smiled and explained.

“We took two days. Back then, we were at the beach, and she almost drowned. I rescued her and brought her back,” Sato held Shiina and spoke.

“One day, there were four delinquents trying to forcibly take Hitomi to play. I went up and beat them up. Because I got a little injured, Hitomi took me to her place to bandage up,” Yamamoto, with a sturdy build, wearing a tank top and a headscarf, spoke with a cold tone.

At this moment, the three men found an opportunity to overshadow Kurosawa, and their competitive spirit was fully ignited as they shared their stories.

Taking four days for a “breakthrough” seemed like child’s play in front of their experiences.
