Too Impressive

“That’s Yuki’s boyfriend?”

“He’s so handsome…”

Matsushita and Shiina were a little surprised and envious when they saw the man in the car.

Even Ichinose herself was momentarily stunned, as Kurosawa looked even more handsome in-person than in their video calls. Moreover, he had carefully dressed up, surpassing her expectations in terms of his looks.

At the same time, Kurosawa took out a banknote from his wallet and handed it to the driver before opening the car door and stepping out.

He was dressed in a red and blue contrasting hoodie, grayish-white jeans, Nike shoes, showcasing a tall and fashionable figure that exuded charm and style.

Seeing him step out, Ichinose walked up to him and coquettishly complained.

“Hikaru-kun, why did you come just now~”

“I thought 6 o’clock was the time for our first meeting, I didn’t expect everyone to be waiting already.” Kurosawa opened his arms to her and explained.

In reality, he didn’t plan to arrive just in time. His schedule was tight; he went to Shinjuku right after school at 3:30 to buy clothes, get a haircut, and purchase earrings. He even went back home to leave his changed clothes there. 

Considering it was their first meeting, he even went out of his way to buy a cake, which made him have to take a taxi to arrive on time.

Seeing his arms open, Ichinose felt a bit shy but still hugged him, stomping her foot in a cute manner.

“I thought you wouldn’t come again~”

This hug, delicate and fragrant, enhanced her petite charm. Kurosawa couldn’t help but smile, his eyes filled with indulgence and joy.

It had to be said, this “one-day” girlfriend was truly beautiful, a real beauty. With such a gorgeous woman willingly in his arms, which man wouldn’t be delighted?

“How could I not come? If I didn’t come again, my Yuki-chan might get angry.” Kurosawa took advantage of the situation and held her in his arms.

This hug felt even more delightful, like holding a water balloon, all soft and squishy.

“Sir, here is your luggage.”

At that moment, the taxi driver stepped out, opened the trunk, and took out a beautifully wrapped large gift box, presenting it to Kurosawa.

“Thank you.” Kurosawa relaxed his embrace and took the gift box.

Naturally parting from the hug, Ichinose looked at the unexpected gift box with curiosity.

“What’s this?”

Kurosawa weighed the gift box in his hands and said with a smile, “It’s your favorite cake. I bought it for you in Shibuya, I was thinking we could all enjoy it together.” 

Ichinose was pleasantly surprised. Her hands, decorated with nail art, were folded in front of her mouth.

“Wow… no wonder you arrived so late.”

“Do you have to be so dramatic?”

Seeing this scene, Matsushita’s boyfriend couldn’t help but mutter. He wore a tank top and a headband and was a more rugged guy.

The thoughts and feelings of the other two men were quite similar.

Seeing her cute little gesture, Kurosawa smiled and looked at the six people beside her.

“Alright, why don’t you introduce me to your friends first.”

Because of the video call last night, even though he hadn’t met them in person, he already knew the identities and personalities of these three “hot girls” through photos Ichinose had shown him.

Akiyuki Kozuki, the “elder sister” and spokesperson of the whole group, usually decided where the whole group would hang out. She had a strong personality and liked to be adored.

Shiina Ai, with a somewhat impatient temperament, lacked some brains and cunning. She spoke her mind, was a good person and a bit of a fangirl, and she also liked handsome guys.

Matsushita Hitomi, who seemed docile on the surface, was actually more scheming than anyone else and often had devious intentions. She had a nasty personality.

Ichinose recalled the situation and turned around, introducing them one by one.

“Yes, this is your first time meeting each other. These are my good friends, Kozuki, Ai, and Hitomi.”

“Are you Akiyuki? Nice to meet you for the first time. I’m Kurosawa Hikaru. Thanks to you, Yuki-chan has been taken care of a lot these days. Pleased to meet you.”

Following closely, Kurosawa extended his hand towards Akiyuki.

Akiyuki shook hands with Kurosawa, giving a faint smile. However, her words were not polite.

“Pleased to meet you too. By the way, between us, there’s no need to talk about people taking care of each other.”

Kurosawa didn’t mind her attitude and shook his head.

 “You shouldn’t say that. Yuki-chan mentioned that you’ve taken care of her in many ways, and she owes you a lot.” 

Upon witnessing this scene, Ichinose glanced somewhat awkwardly at Akiyuki.

Seeing his insistence on this narrative, Akiyuki deeply looked at Ichinose, then nodded slightly, a faint smile appearing on her lips, this time no longer feigned.

Shortly after, Kurosawa shook hands with the other two girls.

“Pleased to meet you.”

“It’s 6 o’clock, let’s go inside,” Akiyuki said, checking her watch.

Entering the establishment, Akiyuki informed the reception of their reservation and led the way.

On the way to the KTV private room, the four members of the “hot girl” group walked at the forefront.

“Yuki, your boyfriend is so handsome! Why didn’t you tell us earlier? If you had mentioned that he was handsome as a celebrity, I would’ve patiently waited,” Shiina complained, while holding Ichinose’s hand.

Ichinose responded to the complaint, not feeling annoyed but rather delighted, “I’ve said before that my boyfriend is very handsome.” 

Among the boyfriends of the four girls present, hers was the most handsome, giving her a sense of pride.

“It’s not as if I’ve seen him before, and you also haven’t shown me any photos of him. I thought your boyfriend was one of those guys who were only handsome in the eye of the beholder. Who knew he was such an objectively handsome guy,” Shiina pouted, contrasting her hot and sexy appearance with a somewhat childish charm.

“Why did it take until today to reveal such a handsome boyfriend?” Matsushita quickly joined the conversation, her voice carrying a hint of jealousy.

Her tone was sour, and a bit envious.

Ichinose noticed her envy and couldn’t help but smile, whispering softly, “He’s very busy with his studies, and he doesn’t really like group dates. It took me quite an effort to convince him this time.” 

“How difficult was it?” Akiyuki was walking in the front, turned back, and asked.

“Oh, it wasn’t that hard.” Ichinose playfully brushed off the question, feigning shyness.

How difficult was it? It cost me 110,000 yen.

“How big is your boyfriend?” Shiina turned around to sneak a glance and asked. (1)

As soon as these words were spoken, Shiina’s eyes widened in disbelief.

“20?”

“Did you mean age when you asked?” Ichinose, noticing her reaction, asked.

“Who asked about age? I meant his size of course!” Shiina Ai insisted, eager to know more about this handsome guy.

“I won’t tell you~” Ichinose playfully blinked at the question, choosing to be cute and evasive.

She had just met Kurosawa yesterday and had seen him for the first time in person a few minutes ago. How could she know such intimate details?

Even if she had shared her measurements, Kurosawa hadn’t mentioned anything in that regard. 

“I should have clarified these things with him; it would be bad if the truth came out,” Ichinose thought to herself.

The four women continued walking in front, followed by the four men.

Sato, Shiina’s boyfriend, was a man with dyed blonde hair and a somewhat handsome appearance. He turned his head and whispered as he looked at the four women in front.

“Bro, this isn’t fair, you know.” 

Akiyuki’s boyfriend, Hinata, was wearing a pair of earrings and a windbreaker with no shirt underneath, revealing a muscular tanned chest which made him look quite rebellious. 

“Man, you’re being too considerate,” Hinata added.

Matsushita’s boyfriend, who was in a tank top, wearing a headband, was the tallest and most muscular of them all. He straightforwardly expressed his thoughts.

“You went out of your way to buy a cake, how can we, without any gifts, compete with that?”

“Sorry, I thought meeting Yuki-chan’s friends for the first time required a little gift to make a good impression.”

Facing the three-person confrontation, Kurosawa remained calm, smiling as he held the cake box with one hand.

1. 1. This misunderstanding arises in Chinese due to the ambiguous meaning of “多大”. When Shiina asked, “你的男朋友有多大啊？, this could have meant “How old is your boyfriend?” or “How big is your boyfriend?” (with big alluding to the size of his genitals). In this case it was the latter, and Shiina briefly thought his genitals were 20 cm long due to Ichinose’s reply, hence the confusion.
