Chapter 4: Be Careful, You Might Get Punished!

“Su-Su-Su…” Lin Siyi was utterly terrified.

Her heart was about to leap out of her chest!

Why was Su Bao still alive?

Wasn’t she supposed to be dead?

How could she be perfectly fine?

Last night, those people said she had fallen from the top of the art building!!

Su Bao, with her expressionless face, frowned.

Idiot. And to think they were childhood friends—she couldn’t even say her name properly after stuttering for so long!

“Su Bao!” Su Bao emphasized, her face darkening.

She looked at Lin Siyi like she was a complete fool.

Lin Siyi, still in a daze, didn’t even notice the disdain in Su Bao’s gaze.

Su Bao had finally gotten herself a name, and this idiot couldn’t even say it right! No wonder Su Bao was so annoyed with her!

All Lin Siyi could think about was how things had turned out like this!

Could it be that those guys didn’t actually have the guts to go through with it and lied to her?

Or maybe… Su Bao never went to the rooftop last night?

Lin Siyi couldn’t figure it out, but she didn’t dare show any cracks in front of Su Bao. She forced a smile, “Su Bao, last night I… I had something come up, so I couldn’t meet you… Why didn’t you come back last night?”

Su Bao swung her pale legs, watching her fake smile.

Suddenly, the expressionless Su Bao grinned, flashing a bright, radiant smile at Lin Siyi.

Even though she was smiling, it sent chills down Lin Siyi’s spine, making her feel even more guilty.

Desperate to change the subject, she blurted, “Su Bao, did you know? The girl who sleeps in the bed next to yours finally checked in last night!”

Their dorm had four beds, two on each side, with desks underneath. The bed next to Su Bao’s had been empty since the start of the semester, with no one reporting in.

They had all speculated about what kind of person their late-arriving roommate might be.

Last night, she finally showed up!

“That roommate, Qiao Qiao, she seems… a little off!” Lin Siyi pointed to her head, lowering her voice like she was sharing a juicy secret.

She tried hard to ignore Su Bao’s intense stare.

“I heard she might be a bit of a fool! Su Bao, you should stay away from her! I’ve heard that if someone with a mental illness hurts someone, they’re not held legally responsible!”

Su Bao listened in silence for a while, giving no response.

Lin Siyi felt like a clown, jumping around on her own, trying to entertain herself.

Su Bao hopped down from the desk and started walking toward Lin Siyi, closing the distance with each step.

Lin Siyi instinctively backed away, “Su Bao, what… what are you doing?”

Expressionless, Su Bao leaned in close and whispered in her ear, “You should be careful!”

“Careful of what?” Lin Siyi asked, confused.

“You’ve done something bad. Be careful, or you’ll be punished!” Su Bao’s voice was like that of a little devil, dripping with eerie malice.

Lin Siyi felt a chill run down her spine, her face turning pale.

“What do you mean? You…”

Su Bao yawned, then, without another word, climbed back into bed and pulled the covers over herself, shutting her eyes to catch up on sleep.

Lin Siyi wanted to press her for answers, but Su Bao had already tucked herself in and fallen asleep faster than she could react!

Does she know everything?

The thought kept circling in Lin Siyi’s mind.

But that couldn’t be possible!

Su Bao had always been a bit slow, not the type to act so strange like she had just now!

And she was straightforward—if she suspected something, she would’ve confronted her directly!

Lin Siyi’s heart was filled with anxiety.

Before drifting off to sleep, Su Bao casually chatted with Da Hei, “She’s so dumb! I don’t even want to talk to her.”

Da Hei: “I completely agree.”
