After the Lord of the Abyss Awakens - Chapter 102.1
Meanwhile, at the Human Alliance.
“The God of Chaos has surrounded our planet, what should we do?”
The hall was filled with noise, and even the most experienced executives found it difficult to stay calm at this time.
Especially the observation bureau staff – they were startled when the planet turned dark in the blink of an eye, jumping up in fright, thinking it was a dream. According to the original schedule, it should have taken at least another month.
“Quick, go find Norman Til!”
Simon and others hurriedly went to find Norman Til.
They knew clearly that this was beyond their ability to resolve – they were even completely confused about what had happened.
At the library, Simon and others quietly waited for Norman Til’s response.
Norman Til put down the book in his hand, showing no sense of urgency about the end of the world. His expression remained calm as his fingers traced the book’s cover.
Somehow, seeing Norman Til so composed made them calm down as well, quietly waiting for his analysis.
Norman Til stood up, looking directly at the dozens of people before him, and said to Simon. “This is no longer something humans can solve.”
Simon asked anxiously. “Then what should we do?”
Norman Til: “We’ll need to unite all continental races, even the gods.”
Simon: “But how should we do that? The gods won’t listen to humans, and most other races are prejudiced against humans. We can’t unite the continent’s forces.”
Norman Til nodded, “It’s good that you have this mindset.”
“What do you mean?”
“We shouldn’t act rashly for now. Although Chaos has surrounded us, it hasn’t done anything yet. Everyone should continue investigating and preparing for the war against the gods. There’s no need to panic too much, because I feel that things will end safely.”
Norman Til’s voice seemed to carry magical power, being extremely persuasive. With just a few words, he convinced them.
Among them, the head of the Magic Department said, “We’re ready at any time. No matter the scale of the divine war, we’ll fight to the end.”
None of them feared the gods. They had long prepared for the end of the world and wouldn’t blame anyone for it.
Disasters always struck suddenly.
Norman Til nodded, seeing the determination in all of them. “Yes, don’t worry. If anything happens, I’ll tell you immediately. My perception is a bit faster than yours, and in this crisis, I will always be on the front line.”
Before he finished speaking, someone in the crowd exclaimed excitedly. “Thank you for your powerful support, Your Excellency Norman Til!”
Others were stunned for a moment, also wanting to repeat their gratitude.
Norman Til could have ignored everything and escaped outside the planet, yet he chose to face the difficulties with them.
But Norman Til humbly said, “This is my responsibility as a human. My power is humanity’s power. I keep getting stronger for our sake, and I’ve been able to grow successfully to this day thanks to everyone’s help.”
As soon as he finished speaking, everyone had a moment of realization.
Then, Norman Til looked around at everyone, “Moreover, I still need to prove to humans that losing the seven great magic families has no effect on us, and might even be beneficial. Don’t you think now is the time to witness this?”
Simon and his students’ pupils trembled.
Simon immediately replied, “Yes, indeed.”
After sending them away, Norman Til’s composed expression suddenly changed, his forehead covered in cold sweat. Obviously, he wasn’t completely confident in what he had said – it was just words to maintain appearances.
At this time, the elves came running out.
“What should we do?”
They surrounded Norman Til, constantly asking questions.
“We can’t escape now, once surrounded by Chaos there’s no way out.”
“How did it happen so quickly? I thought it would take at least a month. His body is so huge, I didn’t expect Him to move so fast.”
The elves usually maintained an indifferent attitude toward many things, but this time was different – their entire race might face extinction if things went wrong.
All seven Elf Kings began to worry and instructed them to ask Norman Til’s opinion.
“So, Nor dear, what should we do?”
Norman Til walked to the balcony, activating his Golden Eyes skill. His pupils radiated golden light as he stared at the sky, observing, “It seems to be resolving itself.”
The elves were dumbfounded, “Resolving itself?”
“Yes, the sky is changing.”
Norman Til rotated his eyes, seeming to sense something in the wind.
Above the firmament, the winds and clouds were shifting.
A terrifying magical power covered the continental space, forming a counterforce against the God of Chaos’s divine power.
Norman Til then understood that this wasn’t something he could interfere with – rather, most beings couldn’t interfere.
All he could do was witness and learn.
In a sense, humans’ greatest ability was [Learning], don’t you think?

Meanwhile, at the Aust Empire Library.
Inpos, who had been up late writing history, was suddenly awakened by an earthquake. He looked confused until He saw the Cat Head Demon group and learned what was happening outside.
Amon had gone to challenge the God of Chaos alone!
Inpos immediately rushed to the adjacent room, where He saw Botis and Beelzebub sitting at a round table, expressionlessly watching the war between Amon and the God of Chaos.
Inpos became anxious immediately. Although Amon had a twisted personality, He was still their sibling demon – how could they just watch!
“Aren’t we going to help?”
Inpos entered the room, slamming both hands on the table, drawing Beelzebub and Botis’s attention.
Botis turned His head leisurely, resting His chin on His hand. “Didn’t He say He wanted to handle it Himself? How can we interfere?”
Inpos frowned, “He’s our sibling demon. Even if not for Him, shouldn’t we help for Father’s sake?”
Botis spoke coldly. “Inpos, demons can’t be too rigid. Or are you saying you don’t have confidence in Amon?”
Inpos choked, “I…”
He wanted to say this wasn’t about confidence – the God of Chaos was too powerful. Even Fourth and Fifth Brother would struggle against His true form. At least Second or Big Brother would need to act. How could Amon, a lone demon, possibly win?
However, Botis remained calm, His tone carrying a hint of cruelty, “That’s His power. He’s just going to retrieve His own power. Success or failure is His own business. If we helped Him and He only won through our power, wouldn’t that prove He doesn’t deserve that power?”
“You…” Inpos paused. Although He never got along with Botis, they rarely had conflicts.
These days they had been too busy working together to think about brotherly relationships, making Him forget Botis’s usual way – Botis was a cold-blooded snake who only cared about Father, with no brotherly love for them.
Setting aside these emotions, Botis’s words weren’t wrong.
Father had said that those unworthy of power would meet with disaster – this was something Amon had to resolve himself.
Even so, Inpos couldn’t help feeling disappointed, because these past days, He seemed to have developed an illusion that they could get along well as brothers.
The little white bird on Inpos’s head lowered its eyes, seemingly worried about the situation.
At this moment, Beelzebub spoke up, glancing sideways. “Botis, stop bullying Inpos. You know He tends to overthink.”
Inpos immediately looked at Beelzebub, eyes full of surprise, as if He hadn’t expected Beelzebub to defend Him.
Botis glared coldly at Beelzebub, saying, “I’m just honestly speaking my mind.”
Beelzebub calmly replied. “Your point itself isn’t wrong, but your way of expressing it is problematic.”
Botis’s snake eyes appeared, full of threat, “What’s wrong with it?”
Beelzebub showed no fear of Him, “If you think there’s nothing wrong, then you wouldn’t mind if I report this to Father, right?”
Botis froze immediately.
Beelzebub smiled, “So you know there’s something wrong yourself.”
Botis’s face darkened completely.
Inpos looked back and forth, feeling uncomfortable.
Beelzebub looked at Inpos, “Never mind, don’t take it to heart. This fellow Botis says one thing but means another – He actually cares about you.”
Inpos found it hard to believe.
Botis couldn’t sit still anymore, “Beelzebub, what nonsense are you saying?”
Beelzebub said seriously, “Yes, He’s a tsundere.”
Inpos’s eyes widened like dumbbells, almost letting out an “Ah.”
Botis’s mouth twitched, glaring fiercely at Beelzebub as if He might transform into a giant python and swallow Beelzebub whole at any moment.
But Beelzebub just smiled elegantly, as if not noticing, and calmly said, “See, isn’t He much more behaved now? He’s just staring at me without doing anything. In the past, He would have attacked by now.”
Inpos suddenly realized Beelzebub was right. They hadn’t fought at all recently.
Botis, embarrassed and angry, said, “Keep talking nonsense. I only care about Father. If you weren’t Father’s children, I would have devoured you long ago.”
After saying this, He just kept glaring, unknowingly proving Beelzebub’s point while remaining completely unaware of it.
Watching their bickering, Inpos suddenly understood – Botis just wasn’t good at expressing Himself. Once He got serious, He became very harsh. If Botis didn’t care about Amon, He wouldn’t have said those things at all.
While Inpos was lost in thought, Botis turned His head and stared into Inpos’s eyes. “Enough, Twenty-second Brother. Don’t listen to Beelzebub. This fellow isn’t good at anything except talking nonsense.”
Inpos was slightly stunned.
Beelzebub chuckled. “Never mind, while we’re chatting here, Amon might be calling for help. Let’s ask Fourth and Fifth Brother what they think about this.”
So Beelzebub immediately went to the Cat Head Demon group chat and @-ed Samikina and Marbas.
Samikina didn’t respond, seemingly unable to see everything in real-time due to domain interference.
Marbas replied quickly though. “What’s there to fear? Let Amon go first, we’ll talk after Amon falls.”
How was Marbas, who valued brotherly love, actually appearing more “cruel” than Botis in comparison?
Inpos felt confused for a moment, but quickly understood.
Because Marbas continued. “Haha, Amon won’t risk His life easily. He’ll endure for Father’s sake. Don’t worry, big brothers have got this covered. Just watch the show from the ground. If things go wrong, we can always call Big Brother.”
Don’t make Big Brother sound like some on-demand Pokémon!
Inpos almost criticized out loud but managed to hold back.
Anyway, no matter how worried they were, they had to stay calm. After all, they were one big family, and each family member had their unique skills.
Inpos immediately felt at ease and sat down at the round table to observe the situation.
The near-continental space was completely submerged in chaos, not just their planet, but even nearby satellites, planets, and stars were thoroughly engulfed.
They couldn’t gather much information, only seeing black fog filling the sky, strong winds rising, causing airborne tsunamis one after another.
Normally, tsunamis could only occur on the ground, but Chaos ignored all rules. He was like a vast, boundless sphere, His surface wrapped in surging chaotic energy, waves crashing down, sometimes forming great storms, sometimes forming huge vortexes.
Inpos couldn’t see what was happening inside, only knowing that an intense battle must be taking place.
Amon was in a life-and-death struggle with Chaos, entering a critical moment.
If He lost, would they have a way to rescue Amon? They all knew well how difficult it would be to retrieve a demon from within Chaos, and Bachin was outside Chaos now, unable to assist them.
Inpos felt slightly tense, His hands unconsciously clenching into fists on the table. What He worried about seemed to be not just fellow demon Amon’s safety, but also other things difficult to express.
Meanwhile, Beelzebub’s gaze slowly turned to Inpos, fixing on His profile, as if pondering something.
Suddenly, Beelzebub asked. “Inpos, what kind of god do you think you are?”
At these words, Inpos froze, His pupils trembling slightly.
Botis also turned His head.
“…”

Meanwhile, in the bookstore.
The Devon Rex cat was half-asleep, struggling to open its eyes to look at its father who hadn’t slept all night.
In its view, the black-haired youth was gently stroking the little short-legged cat on his lap with one hand while writing notes with the other, his gaze determined and serious, as if studying something profound.
The little short-legged cat fell asleep, eyes half-closed, breathing softly, showing clear signs of relaxation and happiness.
The large orange cat beside wasn’t as lucky. His body was too big to sleep on Father’s lap, and could only lie on the table surface, eyes drooping, containing a faint emerald light.
This scene was too comfortable, as if time stood still – if you ignored the crisis in the outside world, it was a very warm family picture.
The Devon Rex cat jumped down from the cat bed, discovering it was wearing a black warm cotton jacket with a small cashmere scarf around its neck.
Looking carefully, it wasn’t just a simple scarf – it also had cat paw embroidery on it.
His father always liked to put effort into small details. Though sometimes quite dense, he was very perceptive about important things.
Just like now.
He thought he came down quietly and his father wouldn’t notice, but his father turned to look at him, saying softly, “Are you awake, Lelagin?”
His voice was as light as a feather brushing through the air, afraid of waking the short-legged cat, yet successfully reaching Him.
His heart tightened, and in two or three steps He jumped onto the table. The seemingly delicate Devon Rex cat’s body actually contained considerable energy.
A flash of surprise passed through Xiu Si’s eyes, but he quickly accepted it and asked with concern. “Are your eyes okay? Are you afraid of the dark?”
The Devon Rex cat’s pupils trembled, memories seemed to churn in its mind, and some scenes from the past floated before its eyes.
He used to be a child who was afraid of the dark, born with poor eyesight because His eyes were once destroyed when He was the Elven Ancestor God.
That pain accompanied Him, deeply etched in His memory, so that even after He regained a body, His eyes were still not good, easily becoming tired, afraid of darkness, sore, unable to stay open for long periods, bringing His father much trouble.
But His father never gave up on Him from beginning to end, teaching Him to recognize objects, helping Him understand the world, always being so patient, as if he would never have any negative emotions.
That calmness and tenacity almost shook His understanding. He couldn’t help being drawn to him, wanting to be loved by him, even keeping quiet about His eyes getting better just to make this person take care of Him a little more.
Looking back, He was quite childish. Knowing it would worry him yet not telling the truth.
He really was a willful child.
Too many things flashed through the Devon Rex cat’s mind, causing Him to hesitate for a moment, but He quickly became lively, running to the youth’s side and rubbing His face against his arm.
