After the Lord of the Abyss Awakens - Extra 8.2
After that day, He had two children who stayed with Him all day.
When He created things, They helped Him move materials. Although They had short limbs and moved slowly, They still wanted to help Him.
He was dazed by Their cuteness.
But He hadn’t yet thought of giving Them names. That was something that came after language existed.
Their world and life gradually became richer. When He developed the concept of direction, one child suddenly came into being. When He developed the concept of quantity, another child came into being.
He didn’t know the principle behind it, He just focused on being happy and creating bodies for Them.
Before He knew it, He had many children around Him.
When there were many children, some problems arose. For example, when He wanted to call a specific child, They would all sense His call and come running over together.
He had to find a way to let Them know His exact meaning. Thus, another child crawled out from His thoughts.
The appearance of this child meant the birth of language. Their power later became known as Word Spirit.
And so, it became increasingly lively around Him.
They still couldn’t walk, crawling around Him all day, and after a long time, showed no signs of growing up.
He was somewhat worried, but They were so innocent and adorable that They even comforted Him instead.
He gradually began to relax, continuing to work hard to create a richer and better world for Them.
After who knows how long, He discovered that many things came into being on their own.
Some of His creations collided with each other, producing amazing reactions, giving birth to new creations.
He felt curious and went to take a look.
They were very tiny, yet possessed the ability to exist independently.
He was amazed, discovering that These weren’t just His creations, but had come into being independently.
After that, this situation occurred frequently, and These gradually learned to reproduce. Even if He did nothing, living things would multiply.
He completed the structure of the world, created conditions for Their birth, and so They were born, existing under the cyclic rules He had created.
He didn’t know what this meant. He was initially delighted, later became worried, and then confused.
Because He could no longer distinguish the relationship of cause and effect.
Did He create These beings, or did These beings cause Him to create Them?
Regardless, the world continued on.
The living things on the primitive planet grew more numerous, often accidentally running into His dwelling place.
They were full of vitality, possessing potential for change that He knew nothing about.
And when He thought about this, another child named [Transformation] suddenly came into being.
He paused for a moment, turning to look around.
He saw children everywhere – some staying quietly, some being more rowdy, some even having conflicts with other children.
Why couldn’t They get along well? As He worried, another child named [Harmony] fell from His thoughts.
He quickly embraced Them, comforting Them for quite a while.
Fortunately, They had grown somewhat. Though still cubs, They could already help Him take care of the younger cubs.
This kind of life went on for a long time. Gradually, They grew up. Although the tallest child wasn’t even as high as His waist, They appeared quite sensible.
However, They perhaps didn’t like Their siblings much. While They were willing to live together when young, after growing up They refused, often arguing and even fighting.
He couldn’t stop them all.
After They grew a bit older, They seemed to understand His worries, and conflicts became less frequent. But it was also possible that They were just avoiding conflicts in front of Him.
He was very worried about this, but there were too many children. He inevitably couldn’t attend to them all, and sometimes, He was even at the core of Their conflicts.
He couldn’t reconcile Them, and could only think of one solution: if He was the cause of Their conflict, then His disappearance would solve it.
After thinking for a while, He really did disappear, going alone to a very remote place.
He understood Them, so He knew They didn’t know about that place.
He stayed there for a long time. Perhaps because He had been creating for so long, His habits couldn’t be suppressed, and when He came to His senses, He had created a galaxy.
After an unknown amount of time, He thought of His children.
He had been gone for so long – surely Their relationships must have improved?
With longing and worry in His heart, He finally returned.
He didn’t know that after He left, that universe had accelerated its development, developing thousands of civilizations over tens of thousands of years.
So He was shocked when He returned, seeing scenes He had never seen before everywhere.
However, despite His shock, His heart was only concerned with His children.
He was after all Their creator, and quickly found the closest child.
The child had grown up, becoming like Him, which made Him very happy, and the child was happy too. But after reuniting for a few days, He discovered something wrong with the child.
He wasn’t sure, so He found several other children, only to find the same situation with all of them.
This might be a defect. It was His fault for not creating Them properly, leading to Their defect.
If left unattended… They would collapse.
He felt guilty and didn’t want to see such an outcome, searching day and night for a solution.
As He searched–

Consciousness flickered in and out, memories embedded in dreams.
In the room, the black-haired youth suddenly awoke, taking quite a while to clear his still somewhat hazy consciousness.
He muttered to himself, “Those were my memories.”
A memory corridor compressing millions of years of time to the extreme, about His beginnings, the world’s beginnings, and Their beginnings.
“……”
Xiu Si slowly sat up, noticing from the corner of his eye that the time showed 5:12. It was too early to be up, but he wouldn’t be able to fall asleep again now.
He lowered his gaze, just about to raise his hand to rub his eyes when suddenly a weak “meow” sounded from beside his pillow.
He paused, turned to look, and found a squinting short-legged cat.
Cele wasn’t in the cat bed, but had come to his side.
He seemed to have woken Him, but He wasn’t fully awake, so He squinted His eyes, unknowingly moving closer to Him as if sensing something.
He couldn’t help but smile, holding Him in his arms.
His Cele had helped Him create many things back then, yet he had left twice without saying goodbye.
The first time was to quell the conflicts between Them, the second time was to cure Them. Regardless of the reason, he had been wrong.
He should have stayed by Their side, facing everything together with Them.
As he reminisced while stroking the short-legged cat, his skilled technique soon had Him comfortably asleep, making low purring sounds.
Xiu Si unconsciously smiled, about to get up to put Him in the cat bed, but as soon as he moved, he seemed to disturb other cats.
He turned to look and found a blue cat also lying by the pillow.
Sitri, now his twelfth cub, previously his first cub. Previous rankings naturally didn’t count anymore, because both he and They recognized only the current world more.
But Their habits were still the same as before, liking to sleep next to father.
Xiu Si didn’t disturb Them, carefully standing up. The room was somewhat dark, which was why he hadn’t seen clearly earlier.
Now the sunlight was coming up a bit, faintly illuminating the scene in his room.
The big tiger was lying on the blanket, next to it were the snow leopard and lynx, Maine Coon, and the golden shaded.
Several small kittens were leaning against the big tiger – the ragdoll cat, cow cat, black cat, red cat, and pallas cat.
Next to the snow leopard were the silver tabby cat, silver shaded cat, Garfield cat, and grey cat.
The big cats slept on the blanket, the small cats slept on the big cats. Counting carefully, he found all the children had come to his room, even the little black bird, little white bird, and two butterflies were there.
He looked up again, weak lights were glowing in the upper part of the room – they were Little Light Body, and Little Black Cloud.
How did they all come here?
Xiu Si paused, just crouching down when he suddenly understood.
The reason They were here was because They had sensed he was dreaming.
He had slept uneasily, They were worried, so They gathered here.
Xiu Si lowered his gaze, thinking to himself that he had made Them worry again.
What should he do to become the perfect father for his children, so They wouldn’t have to worry about father?
He felt there was still a long way to go, but he would work hard.
Xiu Si felt warm inside, stood up and covered Them one by one with warm blankets.
Keep sleeping. There’s still time, no need to rush to wake up.
He went to the bedside, and on impulse, couldn’t help taking several photos.
His children’s sleeping faces – precious treasures!
Xiu Si couldn’t help taking dozens of photos, fortunately the children were all asleep.
He saw the time was about right, and only then slowly curled up in bed.
He didn’t know that as soon as he fell asleep, several furry children on the blanket opened Their eyes.
The older siblings looked at the younger brothers and sisters sleeping on Them, then raised Their heads to look at their father who was now fine.
They had all noticed the dream’s emotions just now. Actually, many of Them still didn’t have Their previous memories, but just now when Father entered the dream, They also found some.
Before, They had been too unruly, making Father worry, and later They had psychological problems, causing Father to anxiously run around the universe.
Of course, that wouldn’t happen now.
The calico cat Barbatos blinked, making eye contact with other brothers and sisters, carrying some of [Harmony]’s unique authority.
Afterwards, They nodded one after another.
Except for the runaway Siamese cat.
The blue cat was startled, quickly grabbing the Siamese cat’s tail.
In the mental shared domain He said: What are you doing!
Just when we’ve started getting along peacefully, you want to fight?
The Siamese cat turned around and glared at the blue cat, raising His paw: Want to take photos of Father meow!
The blue cat paused, then shouted: Then I want to too!
Seeing this, the cow cat and ragdoll cat couldn’t sit still either, charging forward!
Then there was chaos.
Two hours later, Xiu Si opened his eyes, slowly sat up, and saw the scene of a big golden tiger “embracing” a group of little kittens.
“……”
He paused for a moment, thinking that being so close early in the morning showed Their relationships were really good!
Their conflicts had once been irreconcilable, but now, he felt They could get along well completely.
Vaguely, he seemed to feel a gaze. He looked up and saw his past self who still knew nothing.
He looked at him in confusion, as if wanting to know some answer.
He then answered Him: “Please go create.”
—— Create the most precious Ones to you.
—— Meet Them, raise Them, accompany Them.
****
Half an hour later.
A conversation in the dining room.
“Luo Jie, what’s wrong?”
“Hmm? Want to come to my home? Sure.”
“You met a program crew of ‘Can I Visit Your Friend’s Home?’ on the way?”
“Hmm, it’s not impossible to come, but remind them to be mentally prepared, ha.”
Xiu Si said with a smile.
