Chapter 11 – Tuan Tuan Transforms into His Human Form
Luo Yu quickly stretched out his arm to support Xie Yingcheng, so that the latter would not fall to the ground.
Only after he got closer could Luo Yu see the expression on the man’s face clearly.
Xie Yingcheng’s face was pale, his brows were furrowed, and there was a thin layer of sweat on his forehead. His silver-gray hair was messy, his collar was open, and he looked a little embarrassed.
Luo Yu put his arm around his back, which was wet and cool.
He quickly helped him sit down, and Xie Yingcheng leaned against the back of the sofa, breathing unsteadily, with his eyes closed. Luo Yu did not dare to ask, and poured him a cup of warm water. After a few minutes, Xie Yingcheng opened his eyes again.
“Thank you very much.”
His voice was hoarser than it had been that morning.
Luo Yu pushed the water glass towards him and noticed that the man found it a little difficult to raise his hand. After drinking, he put the glass back on the table, making a sound.
Luo Yu looked at him and frowned.
How did he get himself into such a state in just a few hours?
Luo Yu used a handkerchief to wipe away the sweat on his forehead: “Admiral, do you need me to call a doctor for you?”
Xie Yingcheng seemed to look up at him and said, “No need.”
He half leaned back on the sofa to rest, slowly adjusting his breathing.
Seeing his extremely exhausted appearance, Luo Yu hesitated and said, “But you are like this…”
He was interrupted before he could finish his words.
“Quiet.”
Putting his index finger on his lips as a gesture to maintain silence, Xie Yingcheng changed his posture, pressed his right hand on his stomach and leaned back on the sofa, his voice barely audible.
“Let me rest for a while.”
The room returned to peace again. Luo Yu thought for a moment, went to the kitchen and made a pot of light porridge, which he put on the stove and simmered over a low fire. He then fetched another blanket and gently covered the man with it.
Xie Yingcheng raised his eyelids but did not open them.
Since Luo Yu couldn’t just leave him there, he sighed and simply sat back in his original spot, picked up the book and continued reading.
The wait lasted for an hour.
When Xie Yingcheng opened his eyes, Luo Yu had just finished reading half of the book in his hand.
There was only a warm yellow floor lamp in the living room, and the dim light cast a fan-like shadow under his eyes. His eyes were focused, and it seemed that he could see the words reflected in his clear pupils. His slender fingertips pinched the pages of the book and turned them slowly, leaving a light and dark line on his white and slender wrist.
Looking down, Xie Yingcheng looked at the blanket on his body and remained silent.
Luo Yu seemed to realize something and looked in his direction. When he found that Xie Yingcheng had woken up, he immediately put down the book.
“Are you awake? Would you like some porridge?”
The soft voice echoed in the night, throwing Xie Yingchen in a trance for a moment. It took him several seconds to respond in a low voice.
“Thank you.” After a pause, he asked, “You haven’t gone to bed yet?”
Luo Yu put the blanket aside and stood up.
“I had something to ask you, but let’s talk about it tomorrow.” Luo Yu moved quickly but gently. A few minutes later, a bowl of steaming porridge was placed in front of Xie Yingcheng.
Xie Yingcheng took the spoon he handed over, but put it aside first: “Thank you for tonight, you can go rest.”
Luo Yu looked at his still pale face and asked hesitantly: “Are you really okay…?”
Xie Yingcheng nodded and ordered him to leave again: “I still have some things to deal with.”
He scooped up the warm porridge and began to drink it slowly. Luo Yu felt relieved when he saw that his movements were no longer slow and he was holding the spoon steadily.
“Okay, you should go to bed early. By the way, Tuan… it shouldn’t be a problem for Xie Anxing to sleep with me tonight… Right?”
Luo Yu thought that as long as Xie Yingcheng showed any dissatisfaction, he would quietly carry the little guy back to his original room. However, Xie Yingcheng just said “hmm” lightly, indicating that he had understood, and did not say much.
Perhaps because he was too tired to worry about these details, Luo Yu felt a bit of inappropriate luck in his heart.
He took the blanket he was covering himself with back to the room. When he was about to walk to the door, he suddenly heard a voice behind him:
“You can continue to call him Tuan Tuan. I don’t mind.”
His voice was as cold and low as always, but against the night sky, it held a little warmth.
‘Although he looks difficult to approach, he is actually a nice person.’ Luo Yu thought.

The next morning, when Luo Yu woke up feeling sleepy, Tuan Tuan was still sleeping soundly.
He hadn’t rested well these two days, but it was hard to defy the biological clock he had developed over the years. Luo Yu was a little concerned about the events of the previous night, so he got up quietly and went outside the room to check the situation.
The living room was empty, with only a blanket left. On the table was still the chess manual he had been reading halfway, but it seemed to have been flipped over by someone after he left, and left upside down on the table.
There was something extra next to it, a black and white marble chessboard with a transparent texture, and the chess pieces were intricately arranged, presenting a tense chess game.
Luo Yu suddenly found himself interested. After careful observation, he found that the black and white queens were confronting each other, and each of them was stepping on a vital point. The next step was crucial for both sides.
He thought for a long time, picked up one of the coins, and made a risky move.
After a while, he retreated hesitantly. A few minutes later, he returned to the original square.
The black piece was hanging in the balance, undecided between the two squares. After a while, Luo Yu made up his mind and put it back to the first step.
Although it is a bold and risky move, if you win the bet, you can trick the other party into the trap you set.
Luo Yu smiled with satisfaction and hummed a song as he prepared breakfast.
Half an hour later, Xie Yingcheng appeared in a neat black military uniform. It was slightly different from the one he wore yesterday, with the saber missing from his waist and two golden epaulettes missing from his shoulders.
When Luo Yu noticed him, Xie Yingcheng was staring at the chess game on the table with his brows furrowed and head lowered.
Luo Yu’s heart skipped a beat.
Oh no, is Xie Yingcheng blaming him for moving his chess piece?
Luo Yu watched the man’s movements out of the corner of his eye, guiltily, but saw a very faint smile on Xie Yingcheng’s lips. He scattered the chess pieces and put them back to their original positions one by one.
Seeing a well-matched and exciting chess game disappearing suddenly, Luo Yu was anxious: “Why are you not playing anymore?”
Xie Yingcheng looked up at him with a mischievous smile in his eyes.
Luo Yu immediately shut up and pretended to pick up the glass on the table. Xie Yingcheng watched his flustered back and his smile deepened.
Both chess and the person are quite interesting.
It made him want to tease him.
Thinking of this, Xie Yingcheng also did so: “I didn’t expect Mr. Luo to also know how to play chess.”
Luo Yu froze and groaned inwardly.
Was it too late to say that he didn’t understand it?
It was too late.
He felt like a stupid rabbit, while Xie Yingcheng was the hunter who was leisurely holding his gun and relaxing beside him.
Just waiting for him to crash into the tree stump.
He turned around and gave an awkward smile: “I just know some basic rules.” Then he immediately ran away: “Breakfast is ready, I’ll go see if Tuan Tuan has woken up.”
He was afraid that if he stayed for another two seconds, Xie Yingcheng would come with his chess pieces to settle accounts with him. It was not wise to confront him head-on, so Luo Yu chose to leave.
Without caring about the expression of the person behind him, Luo Yu slipped straight back to his room, but he didn’t expect that there was a surprise waiting for him in the room.
The little boy with silver curly hair hugged the blanket and rubbed his eyes blankly. The blue glass beads were moist and his long tail was raised, swaying lightly on the pillow.
Like a little angel who has strayed into a dream.
As Luo Yu approached, he called him tentatively: “Tuan Tuan?”
The little angel yawned, tears welling up in the corners of his eyes. After seeing the person in front of him clearly, he subconsciously said:
“Meow…”
The older and the younger person were stunned at the same moment.
Why was he still meowing in his human form?!
Tuan Tuan quickly tried to make amends for himself: “Luo…Luo Luo! Good morning!”
He wanted to prove that he could speak! He was not a stupid kid who couldn’t speak even after turning into a human!
“N-not meow!”
“Tuan Tuan, yes! I can speak!”
The little guy was so eager to show himself that he stuttered when he spoke.
Luo Yu was amused by him and said in agreement: “Well, Tuan Tuan is the best. As a reward, do you want to have breakfast together?”
Tuan Tuan’s eyes lit up, and he replied in a crisp voice: “Yes!”
Without waiting for Luo Yu to move, Tuan Tuan jumped off the bed and quickly went into his room.
As he trotted, his silver curly hair and tail trembled in the wind.
Only then did Luo Yu notice that the cub had a cute tail behind it.
……etc.
Tail?
Wasn’t he in his human form?! Why did he have a tail?!
Luo Yu felt very uneasy and subconsciously ran to the living room to seek help.
“Admiral! How come Tuan Tuan has a tail in his human form?!”
Xie Yingcheng glanced at the little carrot head who just ran past him and let out a light sigh.
Some animal-like features were bound to appear when the little ones are unable to fully control their form.
As a parent, Xie Yingcheng felt ashamed to admit it out loud.
“It’s a normal situation, don’t worry about it.” He tugged at his sleeves and passed over this little episode.
The chair specially made for the use of orc cubs couldn’t be used anymore in the human form. Thus, it was replaced by a small seat made temporarily with books placed on a regular chair.
Luo Yu looked at the tender little boy swinging his tail, and was particularly worried that he would accidentally fall to the ground. So he looked at the cub worriedly from time to time, and didn’t even notice that Xie Yingcheng had eaten several slices of the bread prepared for the cub.
Tuan Tuan watched helplessly, feeling so aggrieved that tears welled up in his eyes.
How could his father eat the bread prepared for him!
Xie Yingcheng slowly filled his stomach and made himself a cup of coffee. He turned around and found that the food in front of Luo Yu was untouched. The human’s attention was completely focused on the cub.
Xie Yingcheng said expressionlessly: “A snow leopard’s tail is not for decoration.”
Luo Yu: “?”
“So, he won’t fall down.”
The implication was that there was nothing to worry about.
Luo Yu silently withdrew his gaze.
For some reason, he felt like he was being ridiculed in a roundabout way…
Luo Yu took a sip of milk in frustration and made up his mind to go to the bookstore to buy all the books on parenting and snow leopards to study.
Next time, he would never give the man such an opportunity to make fun of himself!
