Yandere-ized Swimming
When I think about it, the “moon” always suited Fiene well.
The ebb and flow of tides… a phenomenon caused by the gravitational pull of the moon, which affects the rise and fall of sea levels. Due to the limited entertainment on this island, I’ve taken to walking the beach daily, so I’ve come to know exactly when high tide occurs.
As the sea level rises, the distance one would fall becomes shorter. In the case of this cliff, the height at high tide is roughly 4 meters.
A safe height for diving is about 6 meters… With the mass of an object (in other words, my weight), the distance fallen, and the gravitational acceleration known, it’s possible to calculate the impact force and falling speed that will affect me upon entering the water, and Fiene is well aware of this.
Yet, Fiene screamed in tears.
There’s no guarantee of 100% safety, and if injured from the impact during the fall, one might not be able to swim, and cuts from the jagged cliff face would greatly increase the danger… Her screams must be because she’s terrified of losing me.
But I jumped.
The reason being, I didn’t want to go along with Fiene’s “calculations as she wished,” and I thought it better to leap and make my escape than to be surrounded by yandere right then and there.
“Akira-kun!!”
But these guys, they jump as if it’s the most natural thing to do. They follow me wherever I go. On this Earth, there’s nowhere to escape.
Keeping my body vertical, I entered the water with a dull pain, then started my escape with a graceful crawl.
“Darling! Wait!! Why are you running away!? Why!? Don’t run from Fii! Don’t go!!”
“Akira-kun!! Yui came to help you!? There’s no need to run!! You don’t need arms and legs that would run away from Yui, do you?”
By the way, what about Aloha Kanio? I’m worried if the delicious contents spilled out when I threw it onto the cliff in a hurry.
“Why… Why do you run away, Darling… I’ve prepared everything you could possibly want… Why… Fii has done nothing wrong… Why do Papa and Darling… always run away from the important people…”
Despite continuing to swim silently, I eventually began to feel tired.
Having been chased by yandere since I was young, I’ve developed enough stamina to save my life, but I’m no match for those high-spec individuals.
“Are you in trouble…?”
The face that suddenly popped up belonged to Yura, wearing a swimming cap marked “Kinugasa Yura,” also equipped with goggles.
I don’t know how long she had been standing by underwater, but while Yura suddenly emerged from the water, I nodded vigorously as I swam with all my might.
“Is that so… Eh, ehehe… Akira-sama, whenever you’re in trouble… I’ll… always be by your side… Ehe…”
Because you’re by my side, I’m in this endless loop of trouble.
“I’ll wait, for now…”
Wait? For what?
Yura, who clung to me with her special swimming method (a crab-swimming technique that allows her to swim sideways at high speed), had eyes that shone brightly, filled with eager anticipation.
“I’m waiting… for artificial respiration… If Akira-sama… passes out… I’ll… kiss you…”
Those drowning (forced) will even grab at yandere.
The vulgar Yura hyena, covering her blushing face, looked at me timidly while fidgeting. Apparently, she had come in hopes of taking advantage of the situation, waiting eagerly for me to pass out while being chased by yandere.
“Sorry… for being such a maiden…”
There are no maidens waiting for a chance to perform artificial respiration on someone who’s passed out.
“It’s okay… Please, don’t worry… If something were to happen that could lead to Akira-sama’s death… I wouldn’t be able to live… So I’ll rescue you at the perfect timing… I’m here to repay my debt to Akira-sama…!”
Instead of repaying me, go get some common sense back from God.
“…Onii… Onii-chan!!”
Of course, there’s not just one hyena! They hunt in packs!!
Beyond the horizon, what was once a mere dot splashed through the water as it approached… and a boat came into view.
Sumire, who skillfully maneuvered the small boat with elegant steering, brought it alongside me and then, sliding her stylish sunglasses up, grinned triumphantly.
“The ‘law of victory always applies to little sisters’—Albert Einstein. Come on, Onii-chan. Your great and just little sister has come to rescue you.”
Don’t go with the flow and fabricate statements from Einstein.
As soon as I clung to the thrown lifebuoy, something soft hit my back, and Yura, in a dreamy state, desperately clung to me.
“Gyuuu…”
What is this? It feels like being dragged down to the bottom of the sea.
In front of Sumire’s rescue operations for the one needing rescue—me—the two yandere moved through the water with inhuman speed, closing the distance to their target—me—rapidly.
Faced with their relentless speed, even Sumire seemed to lose her composure, hastily returning her hands to the steering wheel.
“Tch, I didn’t need any extra deep-sea creature like Yura-senpai… Well, whatever, onii-chan, just hold on tight!”
Fiene and Minatsuki-san’s little fingers grazed my skin as the small boat’s engine roared to life, shaking off the two who were just about to reach out, and began to glide across the sea’s surface, leaving a trail of white froth.
“—tte!!”
The voices and figures of the two rapidly shrank, and, feeling a sense of relief, I let out a sigh of relief.
“Onii-chan, we’ll just go straight to the wedding venue from here, right?”
I signaled ‘no’ to Yura’s request for cooperation by making an X with both arms, and Sumire’s face turned visibly displeased. However, being fundamentally honest, she would probably cheer up if I followed up later with some flattery (even if I didn’t mean it).
“Akira-sama…”
Someone with fat accumulated in the chest area whispered in my ear, and as I turned around, they hesitated to continue, their voice tinged with uncertainty.
“Um, about Unya-sensei… That is… She has… something to say to Akira-sama…”
“What is it? What kind of talk?”
“I don’t know, but… somehow…”
Yura twisted her face uncomfortably.
“I have a bad feeling… A very bad feeling…”
As I was pulled along by the boat, I found myself thinking about that person who occasionally looked so sad.
