“Nothing much.”
“…Did you come just to see me?”
“Yeah. You seemed like you were having a tough time.”
Her face lit up for a moment—then quickly wilted.
“I appreciate it, but I have to hold back…”
“True, but being too good all the time can be exhausting.”
I walked closer and gently patted her head.
“You’ve been doing great. Here’s a little reward… just for a bit.”
She looked up at me with wide eyes before throwing her arms around me in a tight hug.
It hurt a little, but I let her do as she pleased.
“…Did you come up with an excuse just to see me?”
“I figured a secret meeting would be the best way to cheer you up.”
“You’re so kind…”
She pressed her forehead against me, then wrapped her arms around my neck and kissed me. When I lifted her slightly, she let out a happy little sigh.
“…Can I turn off the lights?”
“Sure, but don’t get carried away, okay?”
“I won’t. I just want to enjoy the mood.”
The sun had nearly set, so turning off the lights and closing the curtains plunged the room into near darkness.
We moved to the sofa, where I sat first, pulling Kirihara onto my lap. We exchanged kisses, our breaths mingling in the quiet room. No matter how many times it happened, the intimacy always left me lightheaded and content.
“…Gin, did you miss me too?”
“Of course.”
“…That makes me happy.”
Even in the dark, her smile was evident in her voice.
As the sound of soft kisses filled the room, I slid my hand down her back. She flinched slightly, and I took it as encouragement, letting one hand wander to her chest.
“…You’re such a bad teacher.”
“Should I stop?”
“Don’t be mean. Of course not… do more.”
I had warned her not to escalate things, but here I was, enjoying myself just as much.
If it made her happy… I justified it to myself as I touched her in the ways I knew she liked. It didn’t take long for her to start letting out soft, breathy moans.
“…Wow, today feels… really intense…”
Her trembling body made it hard for me to resist.
But just as things were heating up, the student council room door rattled loudly.
Startled, both of us turned toward the sound.
“Hey, is someone in there?” came a familiar, cheerful voice.
“…Kana-chan. Fix your clothes,” Kirihara whispered, quickly turning on the lights.
“Kana-chan, hang on! I’ll open it now.”
She glanced at me, signaling to check our appearances. Once we confirmed everything was in order, Kirihara unlocked the door.
“Oh, President! And Hashima-sensei too!?”
“Hello,” I greeted lightly, and Kana-chan beamed.
“Kana-chan, didn’t you leave? Did you forget something?”
“No, I lost something! My new keychain fell somewhere. It’s my favorite character from the capsule machine, so I couldn’t just leave it!”
“I didn’t see it anywhere… maybe under the sofa?”
Following Kirihara’s suggestion, I checked.
“This it?”
“Yes! Thank you so much!”
Kana-chan accepted the keychain with a small hop, clearly delighted.
“Thank you both so much!”
“No problem.”
“Glad you found it.”
“Yes! By the way, why were you two sitting in the dark?”
Of course, it couldn’t end without a question like that. What do I even say?
But Kirihara, as expected, handled it smoothly.
“Oh, we were testing something. There’s a rumor that this room is haunted.”
“Haunted!?”
“Yeah. Supposedly, if the student council president works alone after school, they’ll feel like they’re being watched. I told Sensei about it, and he said, ‘Let’s see if it happens when we’re together.’ Then you suddenly rattled the door, and we both got spooked. Right, Sensei?”
“Uh, yeah. Just a little joke, but you startled us.”
Kirihara giggled, her honor-student persona fully intact.
I forced a smile, while Kana-chan clutched her head.
“That’s awful, President!”
“What is?”
“I was thinking of running for student council president, but now I’m too scared!”
Kana-chan clung to Kirihara, half-crying.
“Is it really haunted!?”
“I’ve never seen or heard anything myself. It’s just a rumor.”
“Still, I can’t handle it! Waaah! I’ll never come here alone again!”
“Don’t worry. I always lock up, remember?”
“Promise you’ll never leave me alone!”
“Alright, alright. There, there.”
Poor Kana-chan. Kirihara’s made-up ghost story worked perfectly. There wasn’t even a hint of suspicion about what we were really doing in the dark.
…I need to be more careful.
No more secret meetings at school unless Kirihara is truly at her limit.
For now, I’m just glad we got away with it.

Or so I thought. A few days later, a rumor began circulating among the students.
“I don’t know their name or grade, but apparently, there’s a student dating a teacher.”
For Kirihara and me, this was a rumor we couldn’t afford to ignore.
