Chapter 17: Silent Shame

Lu Qiwen still hadn’t fully recovered from the shock of what he had just witnessed. Seeing the thick, white fluid seeping from He Xuan’s pussy and soaking the white sheets beneath her, he felt a surge of heat. If not for his self-control and the reminder of He Xuan’s scars, he might have lost control and pinned her down.

Hearing He Xuan’s sobs, Lu Qiwen snapped out of it. He glanced at her and quickly turned away, saying, “Sister Xuan, I’m sorry.”

With that, he rushed out of the room, closing the door behind him.

Hearing the door close, He Xuan’s sobs grew louder. Her white, naked body lay exposed on the bed. The emptiness and shame after her climax filled her mind with wild thoughts.

Remembering the woman’s scent on Lu Qiwen earlier, she felt despair. Her face was ruined, and now he had seen her in such a compromising position. Would he think she was a slut?

A sense of hopelessness enveloped He Xuan. Her once bright future seemed destroyed. She had found a reason to live, but now even that was gone.

Sitting up in a daze, He Xuan wiped the slickness from between her legs. Her hand brushed over her clitoris, causing her to blush.

She put on the white nightgown Lu Qiwen had bought her and changed the stained sheets. Holding a small knife, she lay back on the bed. Pain radiated from her wrist as crimson blood flowed, staining the white sheets.

As her vision blurred, she felt her life slipping away with the blood. Just before losing consciousness, she thought she heard Lu Qiwen calling her name. A faint smile crossed her lips as she silently wished, “Qiwen, if there’s a next life, I want to be your wife.”

Meanwhile, Lu Qiwen splashed cold water on his face in the bathroom, trying to clear his mind. Images of He Xuan’s delicate body kept flashing in his mind, but he managed to push them aside.

Sitting on the sofa, he watched the sky slowly brighten. It was early spring, and dawn came late. At six in the morning, the sky was still gray.

He didn’t know how he would face He Xuan later. Deciding it was best to avoid her, he planned to head to school early. By evening, things might be less awkward.

With his mind made up, Lu Qiwen stood up and got dressed. As he was about to leave, he remembered the pills he had promised Liu Suyan. Checking his pockets, he found them empty.

Realizing he had left the jade bottle in the bathroom, he hurried back to retrieve it. To his surprise, he found the bottle missing one pill.

Lu Qiwen, being meticulous, immediately noticed the missing pill. He wondered who could have taken it. The only other person in the house was He Xuan.

Why would she take a Spring Passion Pill?

Suddenly, it clicked. He understood why He Xuan had acted so strangely. The effects she experienced were clearly from the Spring Passion Pill. No wonder she had looked at him with such shame and surprise.

Feeling a pang of guilt, Lu Qiwen approached He Xuan’s room, hoping to explain and ease her mind.

Knocking on the door, he called out, “Sister Xuan, can I come in?”

Receiving no response, he felt a sense of dread. Forcing the door open, he was met with a horrifying sight.

Blood was everywhere. He Xuan’s perfect face was pale, and she lay motionless. Her wrist was still bleeding.

Rushing to her side, Lu Qiwen quickly applied pressure to stop the bleeding. He knew she needed a blood transfusion immediately.

Wrapping her in a blanket, he kicked the door open and ran out.

The streets were empty at dawn, but luck was on his side. He flagged down a taxi and instructed the driver to head to the hospital.

In the taxi, he held He Xuan’s cold hand, calling her name and infusing her with his energy to keep her alive.
