She slammed her chopsticks on the table. “Mom, if you say one more word, then I’m going to leave.”

Mother Gu’s sensitive nerves were tingling in alarm, her gaze sharp. “Was it that little secretary who called you?”

Gu Yanqing didn’t speak, tacitly admitting it.
