- Chapter 207 - His Hands Are for You Alone
Before the man’s filthy hand could touch Ruan Tang, a sudden force yanked him backward and sent him sprawling to the ground.
The next moment, a cold fist smashed squarely into his face.
A searing sting shot through him, and within seconds blood gushed from his nose.
Clutching his face in agony, the man cursed.
“Damn it! Who the hell are you? Do you know who I am? I—”
His self-important declaration never had the chance to finish. Another kick came flying, slamming viciously into his stomach.
He collapsed on the pavement, wheezing in pain, reduced to pitiful “hiss hiss” gasps.
Standing before him was a tall young man in a sleeveless black T-shirt.
His figure was broad and powerful, with long hair falling over deep-set brows. His nose was high and straight, lips thin and sensual.
The muscles in his bare arms were sharply defined, veins bulging as his fists clenched, still streaked with blood.
Head slightly lowered, he looked down at the writhing man with chilling indifference.
When he spoke, his voice was low and hoarse, every syllable slow and threatening.
“Which hand… did you just use… to touch her?”
The man’s face drained of all color. He couldn’t speak, staring back as if he’d just met a ghost come to drag him to hell.
“S-spare me…”
“Forget it.”
The black-haired youth’s eyes stayed flat, as if he were looking at a squirming ant on the ground.
“Both hands should be broken.”
With that, he stepped down hard on the man’s elbow.
The crack of bones snapping rang out in the night, joined by a pig-like scream of pain.
He moved to crush the other arm as well—
But then a soft, sweet voice cut through.
“Chi Han!”
The young man froze. His vicious, merciless air dissipated instantly. He spun toward Ruan Tang and rushed over, his sharp expression crumbling into panic.
“Tangtang, I didn’t mean to scare you… Did I? Don’t be afraid, I…”
He faltered when she caught his hand.
Her delicate pale fingers slipped into his scarred, callused palm.
White against black. Soft against rough.
“Let’s just leave here first!”
The stalker’s screaming had already attracted curious bystanders. Footsteps approached from the distance.
Gripping Chi Han tightly, Ruan Tang pulled him along.
He stumbled after her, dazed, staring at their joined hands as if he were dreaming. His ears burned hot.
They finally broke out of the alley and into the bustling streets, emerging beside the back door of a bar.
Crowds and neon lights surrounded them.
“We… should be safe now…”
Ruan Tang’s stamina wasn’t great. Even that short sprint left her breathless, face flushed pink, chest rising and falling quickly.
Chi Han stared at her, entranced.
Gulp.
In the night, the sound of him swallowing was loud.
Oblivious to his burning gaze, Ruan Tang tilted her head and gave him a sweet smile.
“Thanks for helping me.”
Though she clearly remembered him chasing her down before, tonight’s rescue softened his image somewhat.
She upgraded him in her mind: from “a total creep” to “still creepy, but maybe not completely hopeless.”
Chi Han froze, then suddenly brightened like an overjoyed puppy.
He leaned down and nuzzled against her neck, clumsy but eager, eyes gleaming with boyish hope.
“Tangtang, say it again! Am I amazing?!”
For a moment, she could almost see a fluffy tail wagging furiously behind him.
Blushing, she avoided his touch and mumbled perfunctorily.
“Mm-hm… you’re great.”
His eyes lit up. He grabbed her hand and placed it on his head.
“Then pat my head, okay?”
Her palm sank into his soft black hair.
Closing his eyes, he really did look like a big dog begging for affection.
Ruan Tang loved dogs.
So she went along, ruffling his hair.
Mm, not bad hand feel.
Chi Han nearly melted, his voice breaking in a low whimper.
“Ahh… I’m so happy!”
Embarrassed by his exaggerated reaction, she withdrew her hand, cheeks still warm.
“By the way… why were you here?”
His body stiffened. His eyes flickered evasively.
“Uh… just happened to be around… playing nearby…”
“I see. And that man just now…”
Her brows knit, tone full of disgust.
“Could he be the stalker who snuck into my dorm before? That’s terrifying…”
But didn’t he feel oddly familiar? Why would…
Chi Han froze, dropping his gaze guiltily. His voice was dry.
“Yes! That must’ve been him! I should go back and kick him a few more times!”
He turned, but Ruan Tang hurriedly stopped him.
“Don’t! I heard sirens earlier—someone probably already called the police. Going back now would be too dangerous!”
It wasn’t that she pitied the stalker. She just didn’t want Chi Han getting arrested.
Chi Han turned back, stunned by the fact that she was still holding his hand. His blush deepened furiously.
“O-okay. I’ll listen to you, Tangtang. Whatever you say goes. I’ll be the most obedient.”
Ruan Tang rose on tiptoe and patted his head again.
“Good boy, good boy.”
The motion was exactly the way someone would pet a dog.
Chi Han closed his eyes, satisfied but greedy for more.
Suddenly, he grabbed her wrist, pressing her against the wall.
Like an impatient hound, he leaned in close, warm breath brushing her sensitive ear.
His voice rasped, urgent and hoarse.
“Can’t you… reward me with something else?”
“Eh…?”
Ruan Tang blinked up at him, dazed, not quite processing.
Just then, a piercing honk shattered the moment.
Headlights flared bright, illuminating their overlapping figures against the wall.
The driver leaned on the horn again, furious.
From the crimson convertible came a familiar face:
Xia Lan, the heiress of the Xia family.
Her flawless makeup was perfect as always, her golden curls dazzling even in the dark.
But those brilliant blue eyes burned with anger and jealousy.
“Bastard! Stay the hell away from Ruan Tang, you pervert!!”
Startled, Ruan Tang pushed Chi Han back.
Xia Lan stormed over in high heels, grabbed Ruan Tang’s slender wrist, and yanked her into her arms.
Holding her protectively, she shoved her away from Chi Han.
At nearly 5’7”, Xia Lan towered over Ruan Tang’s petite frame. In her embrace, Ruan Tang looked like a fragile little bird.
Tightening her hold, Xia Lan pointed an accusing finger at Chi Han.
“You disgusting creep! Can’t you see he’s a boy!? Harassing men too—what’s wrong with you, blind and shameless!?”
