Six Ring Wizard - Chapter 309
Chapter 309: The Scapegoat Doll
Helag was eager to see how the integrated spell would turn out.
When he had combined various shield spells into Absolute Defense, the defensive strength had increased significantly.
If the same improvement could be achieved by integrating these enhancement spells, it would be a major boost to his overall strength.
Since integrating the spells would take some time, Helag decided to stay home for the next few days, focusing on studying the spell model books.
He then retrieved the Scapegoat Doll from his spatial ring and examined it for a while, but couldn’t figure out much just by looking.
These first-level wizard tools were no longer simple enchanted items—they involved more complex craftsmanship.
This level of craftsmanship didn’t exist in the Barren Land, which was why wizard tools were so rare there.
At most, the Barren Land had some enchanted items, which were basic tools with simple spell enchantments.
Helag took out a dagger and made a small cut on his finger.
His constitution was so strong now that his skin was incredibly tough, and an ordinary blade couldn’t pierce it.
He had to apply extra force to break the skin, and after squeezing out a drop of blood, he let it fall onto the Scapegoat Doll.
As soon as the blood drop landed, the wound stopped bleeding and began healing rapidly.
A strong constitution didn’t just mean tough skin—it also came with powerful regenerative abilities.
Once the blood touched the Scapegoat Doll, the ordinary-looking straw figure began to change.
A faint red glow appeared on its surface, and Helag could feel stray energy particles gathering around the doll.
The concentration of energy particles in the room increased, and the doll started emitting a strange aura.
At this point, Helag felt a subtle connection between himself and the Scapegoat Doll.
The connection was somewhat similar to a master-servant contract, but not exactly the same.
The doll lifted off the table, floating in front of Helag, slowly rotating.
Faint red light particles drifted from the doll and landed on various parts of Helag’s body, merging into his skin the moment they touched him.
The red particles continued to float out of the doll, and as they did, the doll gradually became more transparent, as if it were being hollowed out.
Helag absorbed the particles, feeling them settle into different parts of his body.
He didn’t know exactly what these particles did, but he could instinctively tell they weren’t harmful.
Eventually, the last red particle merged into his body, and the Scapegoat Doll vanished completely, as if it had never existed.
Helag checked his body but couldn’t detect any obvious changes, nor could he sense the doll’s presence.
He could only vaguely feel that something new had been added to his body, but when he tried to pinpoint it, he couldn’t find anything.
“Deep Blue, did you record the entire process?” Helag had instructed Deep Blue to record all the data from the moment he dropped his blood onto the doll.
Since he had never encountered a wizard tool like the Scapegoat Doll before, he wanted to make sure everything was documented.
Even if he didn’t understand it now, the data might be useful in the future.
“All data related to the Scapegoat Doll has been recorded,” Deep Blue responded.
Helag then asked, “Can you analyze the principles behind the Scapegoat Doll?”
“Based on the observed data, it is likely that the doll operates on contract-based spell principles. However, due to a lack of relevant data, no definitive conclusion can be drawn.”
It seemed that even Deep Blue couldn’t provide a clear answer, so Helag decided to leave it at that.
Contract-based spells were something Helag hadn’t yet studied. He wouldn’t have access to such spells until he became a second-level wizard.
Though the Scapegoat Doll was only a first-level wizard tool, it had clearly been crafted by a second-level or higher wizard, given that it involved rule-based magic.

A few days later.
“Simulation complete. The spell model is as follows.”
Helag was in his study reading when Deep Blue’s notification sounded.
He checked his interface and saw that the enhancement spell model he had asked Deep Blue to simulate was now complete.
Helag immediately began examining the spell model.
Even though he had seen Deep Blue simulate spell models before, he couldn’t help but be impressed once again.
Deep Blue’s spell models were always clean, simple, and efficient, with no unnecessary structures.
After studying the model for a while, Helag found that it was similar to the structure of Absolute Defense.
It used a central structure to link the models of various spells, creating an integrated system.
The difference was that the central structure of this new spell model was far more complex than that of Absolute Defense.
This was likely due to the sheer number of enhancement spells involved, each with different attributes and types.
Integrating so many enhancement spells into one was undoubtedly a highly complex task.
After reviewing the model, Helag didn’t notice any issues.
However, he didn’t rush to construct the spell model just yet.
“Deep Blue, run a simulation test to check for any potential flaws in this spell model.”
“Task logged. Simulation test in progress…”
About twenty minutes later.
“Simulation test complete. The spell model functions normally, with no detected flaws.”
Seeing the results, Helag felt more at ease.
He had already reviewed the model himself and hadn’t found any problems.
“Deep Blue, begin constructing the spell model.”
Helag decided to wait until the spell model was fully constructed before naming the spell.
“Task logged. Estimated time for spell model construction: 10 minutes. Estimated mana consumption: 5%.”
The construction process was much faster than the simulation.
Since Deep Blue had already simulated the spell model, all that remained was to complete the construction.
Deep Blue began using Helag’s mental energy to build the spell model, working at an impressive speed.

Ten minutes later.
“Spell model construction complete.”
Helag checked his mind and saw that a new spell model had been constructed.
Around the central model, several lines connected to the models for Blood Bull’s Wrath, Unyielding Will, Dark Elf’s Blessing, and other enhancement spells.
Helag was eager to test the spell and see its effects.
However, after glancing at the narrow, low-ceilinged study, he decided it would be better to try it out in the backyard.
