Six Ring Wizard - Chapter 341
Chapter 341: An Unexpected Person
Franz pondered how to investigate Helag’s background.
In half a month, Helag had mostly recovered from his injuries, thanks to his strong constitution and Reese’s attentive care.
He stayed indoors, using various medicines to speed up recovery.
Helag knew that since the Abyssal cultists had targeted him, they wouldn’t give up easily.
More trouble was likely, so he needed to recover quickly to handle any issues.
During this time, Helag noticed strangers occasionally passing by his house.
They seemed to be merely passing by, but Helag keenly observed them checking his property, likely assessing his condition.
Helag knew it was the Abyssal cultists investigating him.
Once mostly healed, Helag occasionally appeared in his yard, acting as if everything was normal.
His goal was to show the enemy he was unharmed.
Revealing his injuries would hint at a confrontation with Bron, providing information to the cultists.
By appearing unaffected, Helag left them uncertain about the events.
They couldn’t determine what had happened.
Helag also pondered how the cultists had targeted him.
Though involved in cultist incidents, he didn’t expect a direct attack.
He didn’t know Bron’s primary goal was to test the sacred item’s effect.
During this time, Helag had few disturbances, having attended necessary engagements beforehand.
One day, while sunbathing in the yard with Reese peeling grapes for him, his communication stone lit up.
It was a message from Goodwin: “Helag, I have a task specifically for you. It’s not simple, but the rewards are generous, including contribution points. Interested in discussing it?”
“Goodwin, the president…”
Helag hadn’t expected a message from Goodwin, the Wizard Array Association president.
“What task specifically requires me?”
Helag was puzzled but figured it was related to Seranthiel, given the contribution points.
Seranthiel’s official tasks were generally trustworthy.
Curious about the task, he replied, “Sure, when?”
“Tomorrow afternoon, at the Wizard Array Association,” Goodwin said.
Seeing the location confirmed it was official Seranthiel business.

In the afternoon, Helag disembarked from a carriage, shielding his eyes from the sun, and approached the Wizard Array Association building.
It was his first outing since his injury.
The association was as quiet as ever, unlike the bustling Potion Masters Association.
Entering the hall, a female staff member spotted him and approached, “Mr. Helag, the president is waiting upstairs.”
Helag nodded, letting her lead the way.
He glanced at her name tag: Haini.
Haini led him, swaying her hips, through the area where Helag had previously taken his exam.
They passed through a corridor ending in a spiral staircase.
The area was tranquil, resembling a private residence.
Haini’s heels clicked on the wooden stairs.
Following her, Helag noticed a lingering fragrance in the air.
After the stairs, a right turn led to Goodwin’s office.
“You’re here,” Goodwin said, smiling as he heard them.
“Good afternoon, President Goodwin,” Helag greeted.
Haini left after escorting him, the sound of her heels fading outside.
Inside were two others: an elderly man and a younger man, seemingly the elder’s attendant.
“Helag, let me introduce Mr. Franz, the key figure in the Mozambi slums. He’s here to request your help with an important matter,” Goodwin said.
Helag turned to Franz, maintaining a calm expression, “What’s the matter?”
Outwardly composed, Helag felt unsettled.
His controlled expression hid his inner turmoil.
From Franz, Helag sensed a strong Abyssal Plane aura.
If not for being in the wizard plane, Helag might have mistaken him for an Abyssal creature.
To Helag, Franz was more Abyssal creature than human.
The younger man with Franz also had an Abyssal aura, though less intense than Franz’s, but stronger than typical cultists.
Their strong Abyssal auras suggested frequent contact with Abyssal entities.
They likely harbored Abyssal power, making them significant cultists.
Helag quickly linked them to his recent attack, suspecting their involvement.
Their timing and request seemed aimed at him.
Helag wondered how Franz, a senior cultist, could interact amicably with officials like Goodwin.
Franz seemed well-known and respected in Silvermoon City, warranting Goodwin’s personal reception.
Helag anticipated more cultist trouble and prepared for it.
But he hadn’t expected them to openly meet him through Goodwin.
Helag was puzzled by Franz’s intentions.
“Mr. Franz is funding an array setup in the slums and contacted Seranthiel for assistance. Hearing of your array expertise, he wishes to hire you,” Goodwin explained.
