Six Ring Wizard - Chapter 344
Chapter 344: Please Die
After stopping Asil, Franz said sternly, “Mr. Helag, I’m seriously discussing this with you. As a liquefied wizard, you couldn’t have killed Bron in the Abyssal Plane. I want to know how you did it or what happened there.”
Franz had considered the situation, dismissing the idea that Helag killed Bron, as it seemed impossible.
Yet Bron was dead, in the Abyssal Plane.
So, Bron might have been killed by another Abyssal entity, which concerned Franz.
He wanted to know what happened between them in the Abyssal Plane.
Helag surviving was likely luck.
Investigating, Franz found Helag hadn’t left home for half a month.
Records showed Helag often visited the wizard tower for meditation.
But for half a month, he suddenly stopped.
Such an anomaly indicated something unusual.
Franz deduced Helag was injured, not just minor injuries.
For wizards, minor injuries heal quickly.
Injuries requiring half a month at home must be severe.
Franz pieced it together: Bron dragged Helag to the Abyssal Plane, encountered unexpected events, leading to Bron’s death, while Helag escaped, albeit injured.
This was why Franz didn’t rush to kill Helag; Helag lacked the capability.
To Franz, Helag was a tool to be used for his value.
Helag looked at Franz, saying, “I’ll say it once more: Bron was killed by my punch. That’s the truth.”
Franz sneered, exhaling, “If you won’t cooperate, don’t blame me for being rude.”
“Rude? What, you plan to attack me?” Helag asked nonchalantly.
“Killing you isn’t an option; you represent Seranthiel, and I won’t break the rules. But from now on, you’ll follow my orders, or suffer,” Franz smirked.
Helag feigned surprise, lifting his glass, “The wine’s poisoned?”
Franz began, “The wine isn’t…”
Before he finished, Helag interrupted, “The wine isn’t poisoned, but the cork is. It contains tiny insects from the Abyssal Plane, which silently enter the brain and control the mind, right?”
“You…” Franz was stunned.
“How did you know?” he asked, puzzled.
The insects were finer than dust, nearly undetectable by wizards.
Even holding one’s breath was futile; they entered through pores, reaching the brain to breed.
Their rapid breeding meant a single conversation sufficed for a swarm.
Franz’s leisurely chat with Helag was to allow the insects to breed.
Helag smiled, “How I knew isn’t your concern.”
He was highly sensitive to Abyssal auras, with keen perception.
When Franz uncorked the bottle, Helag sensed the insects.
But his body, with ancestral power, repelled them.
Helag let the insects enter, gathering them and enveloping them in magic.
The insects, sensing the terrifying aura, dared not move.
Franz, sensing the insects in Helag, felt triumphant.
Unexpectedly, things went awry.
“Is this all Abyssal cultists can do?” Helag taunted.
Franz stared at Helag, silent, pondering.
“So, what’s next? Kill me?” Helag shrugged.
Franz and Asil remained silent, the courtyard quiet.
Helag extended his neck, “Go ahead, try.”
Asil glared, unable to tolerate the provocation, ready to attack.
Franz stopped him again, “Enough, let him go.”
Without controlling Helag, nothing else mattered.
Helag had entered openly, watched by many.
Franz couldn’t act now, nor do anything to Helag.
Helag stood, smiling, “Go? No, your turn’s over. Now it’s mine.”
“What do you mean?” Franz asked the young man.
Helag didn’t plan to leave; he aimed to eliminate the threat.
Leaving meant endless trouble.
Abyssal cultists were persistent, causing constant annoyance.
How could he focus on cultivation with such distractions?
Franz, a cultist leader, had an aura akin to an Abyssal native.
In the Abyssal Plane, Franz would be strong.
But here, in the wizard plane, his Abyssal power was suppressed.
In short, Franz was weak here.
“Absolute Defense.”
A multicolored shield enveloped Helag.
“Power of the Titan!”
Helag’s form expanded, clothes shredding, skin covered in dark gold armor.
His massive form filled the courtyard, making it feel cramped.
Franz stared at the armored giant, incredulous.
He sensed Helag’s power, shocked by its strength.
Franz hadn’t expected Helag to act.
He thought open dealings wouldn’t lead to a fight.
Helag laughed, “What? Thought I’d follow the rules? Sorry, I’m young; I don’t like your rules. If you’re a threat, I’ll eliminate you. So, please die.”
