Chapter 347: Teleportation
The chill seemed to have a limited effect, so Helag only vaguely felt a slight increase in the power of his Thunder God bloodline.
Helag didn’t understand why this happened or the underlying principle.
He could only guess that the Core of the Divine contained the power of the Abyssal Plane’s dark god.
For the Thunder God bloodline, this power acted as a supplement.
Thinking this, Helag grabbed the Core of the Divine and slightly activated his bloodline mark, actively absorbing its power.
The absorption was astonishing, with the chill entering his body a thousand times faster.
In a blink, the Core of the Divine shrank significantly.
The absorption speed startled Helag; without the bloodline mark to contain the power, he might have burst from absorbing too quickly.
While Helag was merely startled, Franz was dumbfounded.
“You… you…” Franz stammered, speechless.
Franz knew more about these matters than Helag.
What was the Core of the Divine? It contained the power of a high-ranking Abyssal being. Who could handle such power?
Even beings of equal rank wouldn’t dare absorb it recklessly, risking disaster.
Helag’s rapid absorption, with no apparent strain, indicated his rank far exceeded the god Franz worshipped.
Helag, a first-level liquefied wizard.
Could he rank higher than an Abyssal god?
Impossible!
Franz’s already sluggish mind stalled completely.
He wondered if he was hallucinating, as such a scene was inconceivable, even in nightmares.
As Franz questioned reality, Helag fully absorbed the Core of the Divine’s power, leaving nothing.
The tendrils spreading through the city halted, deprived of their power source.
Franz stared blankly, muttering, “Impossible… impossible…”
With the Core of the Divine gone, Franz’s sustaining power vanished, his eyes losing focus, nearing death.
As his consciousness faded, Franz roared, “Impossible!”
A gray-white spirit appeared, glaring at Helag with hatred.
“You ruined everything! Years of effort! You stopped the world’s rebirth! The god’s arrival! Even in death, I’ll take you with me!”
Franz’s eyes burned with hatred, forming a peculiar power with his Abyssal strength.
Franz initiated a teleportation to the Abyssal Plane.
But without the Core of the Divine, it lacked interplanar capability, only teleporting.
Franz, as his soul shattered, sacrificed it to activate a buried teleportation array.
The teleportation targeted Helag, using Franz’s soul and remaining power.
The destination: the polluted zone.
Franz aimed to send Helag far away, to his likely death.
Boom.
Franz’s soul shattered, and before Helag could react, he sensed a vast array underground.
The array spanned the Mozambi slums.
Franz’s broken soul triggered the array.
Helag felt a hateful gaze upon him.
Then, spatial ripples surrounded him.
Helag recognized the situation, knowing it was bad.
But he couldn’t act; the array covered the entire slum.
At the slum’s center, escape was impossible.
In a moment, Helag vanished.

The disturbance in the Mozambi slums shocked Silvermoon City.
Roads were either sunken or raised.
Few roads remained intact, all damaged by the tendrils.
Many buildings sank, trapping people in the ruins.
The tendrils’ rapid spread affected many structures.
Silvermoon City descended into chaos, most unaware of the cause.
Seranthiel quickly mobilized, investigating citywide.
When Pruis arrived at the slums, he examined the scene, deducing events.
“Where’s Helag?” Pruis asked staff.
Helag’s visit to assess array construction was known.
Goodwin had arranged it, with Seranthiel’s approval.
Seranthiel had intended for Helag to make some modifications.
No one expected such a major incident.
Franz’s body was found, half of it merged with a massive vine.
A head lay nearby, face frozen in shock, its last sight unknown.
Pruis searched for Franz’s soul, finding only traces of its shattering.
He realized Franz’s soul was likely destroyed.
As for Helag, his whereabouts were unknown.
No body, no soul trace.
Seranthiel sought Helag, needing details.
Importantly, Helag had eliminated Franz, a major threat.
Though the city suffered damage, it was bearable.
For wizards, repairing roads and buildings was simple.
