Demon Master Qin Gou
Three days later.
“Damn this system,” Qin Gou cursed under his breath as he stored millions of spirit stones, along with several top-tier magical treasures and imperial weapons, into his spatial ring from a small pocket dimension.
The damned system had tasked him with traveling thousands of miles just to spank Mu Man’er’s butt. If he didn’t, he’d lose all his body hair permanently. Was this some kind of joke? What was Mu Man’er’s cultivation level again? Peak Hidden Artifact Realm!
If he were still on Arc Moon Mountain, Qin Gou could send that little girl flying with a single breath. But outside, it was a different story.
Yet, he had no choice. He prided himself on being the second most handsome man in the cultivation world—how could he tolerate losing all his hair and eyebrows? The worst part was that it wouldn’t grow back!
For the record, the cultivation world’s acknowledged most handsome man was none other than Qin Gou’s first disciple, Zhao Xinting, the Purple Extreme Demon Lord.
During these three days, Qin Gou had spared no expense, using spirit stones and pills to rapidly enhance himself. Unfortunately, his new body’s aptitude was so poor that he couldn’t even cultivate his signature technique, Heavenly Path Technique. He had to settle for practicing Illusory Sea Tides, a technique he had once taught his third disciple, Kong Ling.
After burning through a large amount of resources, he barely managed to reach the first layer of the technique, achieving the early stage of the Gathering Qi Realm. He also practiced Mad Demon Staff Technique to a rudimentary level before preparing to descend the mountain and truly step into the mortal world.
Dressed in a simple green robe, with his hair tied up in a high crown, black boots on his feet, and a long sword on his back, Qin Gou strode confidently out of the mountain gate.
Though his attire appeared plain, every piece was actually a top-tier magical artifact of great renown. The crown was the Nine-Curve Spirit Protector Crown, the robe was the Green Emperor Robe, the boots were the Godspeed Boots, and the sword was the Astonishing Immortal Sword. Qin Gou had deliberately made them appear ordinary to avoid attracting unwanted attention.
At the foot of Arc Moon Mountain, Qin Gou took a large step forward, finally leaving the mountain’s boundaries. Instantly, he felt a sense of clarity and openness.
This was his first time leaving Arc Moon Mountain in a thousand years. Everything he knew about the outside world came from publications like Records of Major Events in the Cultivation World.
“Hey, look! Someone else is coming down the mountain!”
“Quick, don’t let anyone else snatch him up first!”
Suddenly, Qin Gou found himself surrounded by a group of cultivators, all dressed in various styles, who had come from all directions. They stared at him as if he were some kind of rare animal.
“Young man, I see you’ve come down from Arc Moon Mountain. You must be a disciple of the Demon Seed Pavilion, right?” a toothless old man with a sinister expression rasped.
“What’s the Demon Seed Pavilion? There’s only one pavilion on Arc Moon Mountain, and it’s called the Heavenly Master Pavilion,” Qin Gou frowned, confused.
“Hahaha, wonderful! You really are a disciple of the Demon Seed Pavilion. Old man, I’ve struck gold!” The toothless old man laughed. “Your Heavenly Master Pavilion is famous in the cultivation world. Every disciple that comes out of there is unmatched in their abilities, and they all end up joining the demonic path. That’s why it’s called the Demon Seed Pavilion.”
“Young man, join our Purple Extreme Demon Sect. Our sect master is Zhao Xinting. Surely, you’ve heard of him.”
As soon as the crowd confirmed that Qin Gou was from the Heavenly Master Pavilion, they began clamoring to recruit him.
“What’s the Purple Extreme Demon Sect compared to us? Our Xuan Nu Rakshasa Palace hasn’t even spoken yet. Little brother, come be our cauldron at the Rakshasa Palace, and you’ll be surrounded by beauty and pleasure all day long.”
“We at the Blood Fiend Sect don’t have much to do with the Demon Seed Pavilion, but if you join us, you’ll immediately become our Holy Son and enjoy endless resources!”
“Join our Nine Hells Mansion, and you’ll become the chief disciple and inherit the position of mansion master!”
Qin Gou’s anger flared.
He never imagined that right at the foot of Arc Moon Mountain, so many demonic sect disciples had gathered. They had even formed some sort of marketplace, where they didn’t attack each other but instead bid for new recruits like it was an auction.
Could it be that his adorable disciples had gone astray because of this?
Qin Gou took a few steps back, re-entering the boundary of Arc Moon Mountain, and said coldly, “You demonic scum deserve to die. I’m going to report this to my master right now, and he’ll wipe you all out!”
With that, Qin Gou turned and sprinted back up the mountain.
“Damn, he’s trying to run!”
“We can’t let this prized disciple of the Demon Seed Pavilion escape!”
“But the sect master said we must never step foot on Arc Moon Mountain unless it’s a special situation.”
“Isn’t this a special situation?”
“What are you afraid of? That kid’s only at the early stage of the Gathering Qi Realm. Watch me capture him with one palm!” The toothless old man was the first to step onto Arc Moon Mountain. With someone leading the charge, the other demonic sect disciples followed suit, afraid that someone else would snatch up the genius from the Demon Seed Pavilion. Only a few hesitated, still unwilling to risk it.
The toothless old man moved like a ghost, instantly blocking Qin Gou’s path. In his hand, he summoned a sinister scythe-shaped life-bound spiritual tool, revealing himself to be a Hidden Artifact Realm expert.
“Where do you think you’re going, brat?”
The demonic experts displayed their abilities, setting up countless barriers to trap Qin Gou.
“Who said I was running?” Qin Gou smirked, his aura suddenly shifting. Behind him, a towering white phantom, as tall as a hundred meters, appeared like a colossal beast.
“T-That’s… the legendary Divine Feather Avatar!”
“This guy isn’t some disciple of the Demon Seed Pavilion. He’s the Demon Master Qin Gou himself!”
“To hell with your Demon Seed Pavilion!” Qin Gou roared in fury, his face flushed with anger.
From the sky, the massive white phantom tore through the clouds. A gigantic, feathered hand materialized and slammed down. The demonic experts, frozen in terror, were instantly reduced to countless white feathers, scattered by the wind.
Outside the boundaries of Arc Moon Mountain, the remaining demonic disciples, who had hesitated to follow, were so terrified by the sight that they fled in panic, shouting, “Spare us, Grandmaster!” as they ran for their lives.
“Ding. Since the Host borrowed the power of Arc Moon Mountain, you have defeated five members of the Purple Extreme Demon Sect, two from Xuan Nu Rakshasa Palace, and one from the Blood Fiend Sect… You are awarded 20 merit points.”
“Ding. Congratulations, Host, for completing the task ‘Uphold Justice (Part 1).’ You are awarded 100 merit points and one ‘Perfect Disguise Talisman.’ Since this is the first task completed after the system’s evolution, you are granted one lottery spin.”
“Borrowed the power of Arc Moon Mountain? That was clearly the result of a thousand years of my own hard work! How did it become the mountain’s power? Damn system, explain yourself. Wait… did you say lottery spin?!”
We are currently recruiting. CN/KR/JP Translators/MTLers are welcome!
