The True Power of the Piercing Illusion Eyes
Having been unable to act against Qiu Qianyue due to the vast difference in their cultivation levels, Gu Feiyan had been stewing in frustration. Now, faced with two peak Hidden Artifact Realm bounty hunters, she couldn’t help but feel eager to test her skills.
Pointing at the older white-robed man, Gu Feiyan said, “I’ll take this one. The rest of you handle the other one. Any objections?”
“Don’t worry, Senior Sister Gu,” Qin Gou and the others replied in unison.
The older man raised an eyebrow and stepped forward, a mocking smile on his face. “The name’s Wei Baokai. It’s my honor to face the third daughter of the Seed Demon Holy Sect today. Let’s see your so-called ‘skills.’” He emphasized the word “skills” with a suggestive tone, clearly intending to provoke her.
This was a common stereotype about women from demonic sects, particularly those from the Xuan Nu Rakshasa Palace. Many assumed they were promiscuous, but the truth was far more complex. Becoming a “cauldron” required exceptional talent, beauty, and character, as the bond between a Xuan Nu and her cauldron was sacred and unbreakable.
Gu Feiyan immediately picked up on Wei Baokai’s mocking tone. Without hesitation, she activated her life-bound spiritual tool, the Piercing Illusion Eyes. Her eyes glowed with a soft pink light as she shouted, “Armor Break!”
Wei Baokai’s white robes instantly disintegrated into shreds, scattering in the wind. The peak Hidden Artifact Realm cultivator was left completely exposed.
Reacting quickly, Wei Baokai enveloped himself in green spiritual energy to cover his vital areas. “Damn it! My robes! You bitch, how dare you!” he roared, summoning a silver staff out of thin air.
“Die, bitch!” Wei Baokai charged at Gu Feiyan, his silver staff aiming straight for her face.
“Heart Break,” Gu Feiyan murmured, pushing her Piercing Illusion Eyes to their limits. Her eyes glowed an intense pink, resembling those of a rabbit. Effortlessly, she sidestepped Wei Baokai’s attack.
The silver staff struck the ground with a deafening crash, creating a deep crater. The weapon, a life-bound spiritual tool, was incredibly heavy and destructive.
But from that moment on, every one of Wei Baokai’s attacks missed. Gu Feiyan dodged each strike with grace and precision, her movements as fluid as a crane’s. It was as if she could see through his every move, predicting his actions before he made them.
As Wei Baokai’s spiritual energy dwindled, his movements grew sluggish. His injuries mounted, and he could no longer maintain the energy shielding his body. In the end, Gu Feiyan, unscathed, used her black whip to mercilessly snap his neck.
After finishing Wei Baokai, Gu Feiyan glanced at the ongoing battle between her team and the younger bounty hunter. She retrieved a long spear from her spatial ring, infused it with spiritual energy, and hurled it with precision.
The spear pierced through the younger man’s chest, pinning him to the ground just as he was retreating to avoid Hu Yin’s massive spike-shaped spiritual tool.
“Senior Sister Gu!” Qin Gou called out as Gu Feiyan rejoined the group.
“Is this the true power of the Piercing Illusion Eyes? Eye-based spiritual tools are truly enviable,” Qin Gou said, his tone filled with admiration.
Gu Feiyan chuckled softly. “It’s just a simple ability to predict my opponent’s moves, and I can only focus on one target at a time. But it comes at a cost.”
“A cost?” Qin Gou asked, puzzled.
Gu Feiyan nodded. Her eyes returned to their normal color, but moments later, blood tears streamed down her cheeks, shocking everyone.
Closing her eyes, Gu Feiyan said helplessly, “For the next few days, I won’t be able to see anything. Even with my eyes open, it’ll be total darkness.”
Liu Ying quickly pulled out a clean handkerchief, but Qin Gou took it from her. Gently, he wiped the blood from Gu Feiyan’s face, smiling warmly. “It’s fine. Leave everything to us for the next few days.”
Realizing it was Qin Gou and not Liu Ying tending to her, Gu Feiyan froze for a moment but didn’t pull away. Biting her lip lightly, she asked, “Our movements seem to have been completely exposed. Do you have any ideas?” She handed Qin Gou a map showing the location of the Forgotten Self Mystic Realm.
Taking the map, Qin Gou studied it carefully before suggesting, “We need to change our route immediately and disguise ourselves. Otherwise, we’ll be hounded by these ‘royal dogs’ the entire way.”
“Disguises? That’s your specialty. We’ll do as you say,” Gu Feiyan said with a playful smirk.

Two Days Later.
Two carriages rolled through a forested mountain path, a large banner fluttering in the wind. The banner read: Little Qin’s Money House.
Hu Le and Hu Yin, disguised as burly middle-aged men, drove the carriages.
Liu Ying and Gu Feiyan had not only altered their appearances but also dressed in garish outfits, resembling a pair of servant girls—one older, one younger.
Qin Gou, however, had made no changes to his appearance. Instead, he donned a pristine white robe, adorned with a crown inlaid with a luminous pearl. He carried a folding fan decorated with scenic paintings, embodying the image of a wealthy young master.
“Little Qin, what are you doing?” Gu Feiyan asked, her eyes closed as she lounged idly.
“Studying the Green Emperor Scroll,” Qin Gou replied, looking up from a copied version of the manual.
“You’re so diligent. How’s it going?” Gu Feiyan asked curiously.
“I’ve already mastered the second layer,” Qin Gou said honestly.
Gu Feiyan let out a bitter laugh. “As expected of the Enlightened Dao Body. Truly impressive.”
Qin Gou couldn’t help but laugh. “That’s the fifth time you’ve praised me for that in the past few days.”
Just then, a loud shout came from outside the carriage.
“This road is mine, and so are these trees! If you want to pass, leave a toll!”
“Don’t worry, leave these adorable bandits to me!” Qin Gou shouted confidently.
But before he could act, Gu Feiyan grabbed his hand, her grip firm. “Tell me, how many times have we run into bandits in the past two days? What kind of route did you pick, exactly?” she asked through gritted teeth.
