The Love Reality Show's Big Boss and Little Sweetie - Chapter 24
【I suspect this mountain clashes with Mu Chi, which is why so many mishaps have happened 】
【Poor Mu Chi】
【It’s all Qi Liao’s fault for coming fishing】
【?? If someone’s unlucky, they’ll be unlucky anywhere, what does fishing have to do with it? Hurry to the temple and light some incense】
【Our ancestors said, ‘After bad luck comes good luck’】
【If someone’s constantly unlucky, it means great fortune is coming, it’s just a matter of whether they can seize it】
【Our idol absolutely needs that turning point!】
…
Mu Chi lay in Qi Liao’s arms, his sunscreen jacket covering his head and face. His shoulders twitched slightly, but he made no sound.
“Should we call 120?” Hao Wenrou asked nervously.
Qi Liao cut straight to the point: “I’ll take him to the hospital. You guys head back first.”
Saying this, he picked Mu Chi up. The production team had a spare car parked on the mountain road not far away, which was just right for Qi Liao to drive.
The camera crew attempted to follow, but Qi Liao silenced them with a stern glance. “Go notify Mu Chi’s agent.”
Qi Liao drove Mu Chi to the hospital himself, telling him to lie in the back seat and try not to move.
Resting his head on a pillow, Mu Chi murmured guiltily, “I’m sorry, I wasn’t careful.”
Qi Liao drove the car almost flying, the mountain scenery whizzing past the window, the hot wind blowing the car’s cabin, slowing down the speed. From Mu Chi’s angle, he could only see the vast blue sky above, and the pace didn’t feel particularly fast.
“You were extremely careless,” Qi Liao replied coldly. “You’ve learned your lesson well enough. Next time you’ll avoid it. It’s not a bad thing.”
Mu Chi choked. “I almost died.”
Qi Liao: “You said you were going to die when you rolled down that hillside before too. I think you are lucky and can live to be ninety-nine.”
Mu Chi’s attending physician did not expect this. He just met him in the morning and saw him again in the afternoon. After a thorough examination of him, he was amazed: “Your head can really withstand the impact. When an asteroid hits the earth in the future, we can count on your iron head to bounce it back.”
Mu Chi: “Really?”
Qi Liao frowned at him: “You have become stupid again.”
Mu Chi pouted and lay on the hospital bed. The VIP single room was even more luxurious than the one he lived in before.
The nurse applied iodine to the new wound on his head. “This wound is very small. It doesn’t need stitches, but it will probably leave a scar.”
Mu Chi was anxious. He didn’t want to have a scar on his head. “How do you get rid of the scar?”
“During the healing period, eat less oily and salty foods, avoid spicy food, and pay attention to your diet. As long as you don’t have a scar-prone constitution, you can heal.”
Mu Chi nodded frantically. “Got it.Thank you, sister.”
The nurse was amused. “Call me sister more often and I will give you a skin care secret.”
Mu Chi, ever the smooth talker, called out, “Sister.”
The nurse cleared her throat, quickly glanced at the cool guy next to her, and said with a smile: “Love can heal all wounds.”
Mu Chi: “Huh?”
The nurse smiled gently and left.
Mu Chi took a moment to process, then glanced shyly at Qi Liao. “Ge, what do you think she meant?”
Qi Liao: “…You know exactly what she meant.”
Mu Chi feigned ignorance: “Love? I haven’t found it yet. Who can help me heal it?”
“…”
“…”
Silence. Dead air. An awkward pause.
“MU CHI!” The ward door suddenly slammed open. Zhu Yinhang staggered in as if he was bankrupt, “You really are my living father!”
Mu Chi weakly and helplessly hid beside Qi Liao: “You are old enough to be my grandfather, don’t say that, I’m scared.”
Zhu Yinhang nearly toppled backward in fury, his face twisted into a menacing grimace. “I told you a hundred times and a thousand times to be more decent and not to ruin your image, and now you just shit a big shit in front of me.”
Mu Chi was shocked. “I didn’t! Stop making things up! When did I ever shit in front of you??”
Qi Liao: “This is an Internet slang, which describes doing something particularly bad.”
Mu Chi argued passionately to Qi Liao, “He’s slandering my reputation! Don’t believe him!”
Qi Liao gently withdrew his arm from Mu Chi’s grasp and addressed Zhu Yinhang: “Brother Zhu, Mu Chi isn’t the only patient here. Everyone needs quiet. Please lower your voice.”
Zhu Yinhang was like a duck with its neck pinched, and said with difficulty: “Okay.”
Qi Liao stepped out of the hospital room, giving them time to speak alone.
Unsurprisingly, Mu Chi was lectured by Zhu Yinhang once more. He suddenly realized how differently people saw him, agents always prioritized profit and those who seemed like friends were merely passing through life; only Qi Liao was different.
Qi Liao genuinely cared for him, comforted him, and was the only person besides family who offered help without hesitation.
It was getting late, and assistants Xiao Wang and Xiao Tianlai took turns watching over Mu Chi. Qi Liao had dinner with them before driving back. Mu Chi was a little disappointed, as he thought Qi Liao would stay to take care of him.
But then again, there wasn’t really any reason for him to stay,as he wasn’t his boyfriend.
Exhausted, Mu Chi fell asleep quickly after washing up. The next day, he woke up and heard Zhu Yinhang talking to the doctor, who said that after one night’s observation, he was fine and could leave.
Mu Chi also felt that there was nothing wrong, so he was discharged again.
The production team arranged for everyone to pick them up again, just like last time. When Mu Chi got out of the RV, it felt almost comical.
Mu Chi had an idea and walked towards the five people in the melon shed. “Hello, I’m Mu Chi. Please introduce yourself, I don’t remember you.”
Everyone except Qi Liao: “!!!”
【Huh?? Mu Chi lost his memory again?!】
【No way?】
【Do we have to start over again?】
【It’s okay to forget, those are all bad memories】
【He’s faking it, right?】
Mu Chi looked at Xu Wuxing and the others, then burst out laughing, breaking character: “I was just kidding! Did I scare you?”
Xu Wuxing patted his chest to steady his breath. “Mu Ge, you really gave me a fright! If you forgot all our sweet memories, I’d be heartbroken.”
Mu Chi: “…After not seeing you for a night, your ability to make up stories has improved.”
After hearing Xu Wuxing’s words, Mu Chi instantly transformed into a cool, aloof god, keeping his distance from everyone except Qi Liao.
To welcome Mu Chi back, Qi Liao and Ying Xuan cooked every fish they’d caught or gathered, steamed, braised, fried, or simmered in soup, making lunch a full fish feast.
After eating the all-fish feast, Mu Chi swore he wouldn’t touch fish for half a month.
After two days of quiet recuperation, it was time to write a love letter again, and Mu Chi’s heart was itching. Qi Liao had confiscated his last love letter, and Qi Liao hadn’t reacted, presumably because he hadn’t discovered the secret of the envelope.
Furthermore, the air was hot and humid these past two days, perfect for swimming. However, he had a head wound that prevented him from entering the water, and even showering had to be avoided. This was really suffocating him.
Watching Qi Liao’s agile and swift figure in the swimming pool, Mu Chi felt itchy in his heart as if being scratched by a cat’s claws.
In the dead of night, Mu Chi frantically wrote wild words on the inside of the envelope. He was so excited that he almost suspected that he was the god of literature who had descended to earth. How could he write so well and he even composed a poem!
The next morning, Mu Chi happily mailed the letter. It felt like he was having an affair and no one had discovered it.
That evening, the director struck again. He was still operating behind the scenes and insisted on using Mu Chi’s letter to create a gimmick.
Unfortunately, no one but Qi Liao could decipher the contents of Mu Chi’s letter.
Qi Liao struggled to decipher it, reading aloud in a flat tone: “…Thank you all, thank the production team, thank my fans, thank my parents who gave me life, thank heaven and earth, thank myself.”
Director: “…” This is too perfunctory!
【Did Mu Chi really have nothing to write?】
【I wouldn’t want to write it either—hardly anything good has happened lately】
【The production team’s run out of fresh ideas too, just milking Mu Chi for all he’s worth】
After reading the “love letter”, Qi Liao’s eyes hid a smile, he folded the letter helplessly and stuffed it into the envelope. Suddenly, his eyes fixed – there were words on the inside of the envelope.
It was written here, and he definitely didn’t want anyone to see it.
Qi Liao nonchalantly slipped the envelope into his pocket, excusing himself to walk the dog. Mu Chi naturally trotted along behind him, while Xu Wuxing and Lucas also tried to tag along.
Diyi Shuai had already become familiar with everyone here, charming them like a sea king. It often made Xu Wuxing and Lucas fight over who got to walk it.
Qi Liao strolled leisurely behind. The cameraman trailing them, weighed down by his equipment, had run himself out of breath and huffed and puffed at the rear. Qi Liao glanced back and, swiftly pulling the “love letter” from his pants pocket.
He took out the letter and put it in his pocket. He gently tore open the envelope along the adhesive and unfolded it under the dim street light –
“Dear Qiao Liao, I want to squeeze your eight-pack abs!”
The first sentence of the opening shocked Qi Liao so much that his body froze. Continue reading –
“In the East, there is a man who is as cold as ice, but who knows how cool and tough he is. His body is like a beast and his heart is like the sea. He makes me dream about him every night.”
“Bobo bobo bobo! Mu mu mu mu mu! Long legs, big chest, massive build, big…thing,, so handsome that no one can compare to him.”
“I love you, love you, love you! – Your lover, Mu Chi.”
Qi Liao felt like he was dreaming, staring in disbelief at the youth before him—so coldly pure, yet so strikingly beautiful. What was he thinking about with such a beautiful face every day?
He was actually so obsessed with him… with him.
