“If you don’t believe me, then forget it,” Su Bao said coldly.

Doubt from others meant nothing to her. Believe it or don’t—it made no difference.

The female ghost hesitated, torn between suspicion and desperation. But she had no better options. Su Bao was the stronger one here.

Su Bao tilted her head, following the ghost’s gaze to the pendant.

And then, as if triggered, the ghost’s previously calm demeanor erupted into madness. Her eyes filled with rage, and her expression twisted with fury.

“It’s him! He killed my sister!”

The moment she mentioned her sister, her voice rose to a piercing shriek, sharp and grating.

For a ghost to become vengeful, there must be a lingering obsession—something they couldn’t let go of. This obsession would fester, growing into a demon within their soul, amplifying their ghostly nature.

Clearly, for this ghost, her sister was her greatest weakness.

Just as Su Bao would lose control whenever confronted by someone claiming to be her mother—a woman she deeply despised—this ghost’s rage was all-consuming.

Fu Lang’s jaw dropped.

There was no way he was taking the blame for this!

He frantically waved his hands, panicking. “It wasn’t me! I didn’t do it! You’re lying! I would never do something like that!”

“I don’t even know who your sister is! Sure, I’ve been with a lot of women, but it was always consensual!”

The ghost’s blood-red eyes burned with fury, her teeth clenched as she spat out, “My sister’s name was Qu Rou!”

Fu Lang froze.

He racked his brain, searching his memories, but he couldn’t recall ever meeting anyone named Qu Rou.

“How did she die?” Su Bao asked calmly.

But just as the ghost was about to answer, a sharp voice interrupted from the restroom entrance.

“So that’s why I heard wailing while I was squatting! Turns out there’s a ghost causing trouble! Watch me take care of you!”

Standing at the door was a girl with braided pigtails.

She wore a faded red plaid shirt and carried a large backpack with a peachwood sword sticking out of it.

Her appearance…

Left Fu Lang completely dumbfounded.

The girl pulled out the peachwood sword and lunged at the ghost without hesitation!

The sudden turn of events caught everyone off guard.

The ghost, enraged, glared at Su Bao. “You didn’t want to dirty your hands with karmic debt, so you sent someone else to kill me!”

Su Bao: “…”

She was just as confused as the ghost.

The girl’s peachwood sword was no joke. With a single strike, a wisp of black smoke rose from the ghost’s form.

But the attack only served to enrage the ghost further. With a desperate fury, she lunged at the girl, ready to fight to the death.

“Ah!” The girl screamed as the ghost’s counterattack knocked the peachwood sword from her hands, sending her tumbling to the ground.

Clearly, the girl’s skills were lacking. Provoking the ghost in her enraged state had been a mistake, and now she was defenseless.

But the ghost didn’t linger. With a final, furious glare, she fled the restroom.
