Isn’t The Beautiful Girl Who Comes to Wake You Up in the Morning Ignoring Your Privacy? â‘¢
“So, what’s that all about, Aniki?”
Some time had passed.
Uzuki noticed that the window glass was shattered.
Normally, anyone would notice this almost immediately upon entering the living room, but perhaps her attention had been diverted because Sakurazaka-san was there.
For the record, Uzuki is now standing in the kitchen, and I’m sitting on the sofa.
Sakurazaka-san has been away from the living room for a while, saying she went to pick flowers.
“About that——”
I hesitate for a moment after beginning to speak.
This is my chance to get Uzuki on my side.
Not that anything would necessarily change if Uzuki became an ally, but it’s undesirable for her to be on the enemy side——in other words, aligned with Sakurazaka-san.
That’s because Uzuki is keen on bringing Sakurazaka-san and me together.
I should be honest with Uzuki here. That’s the best course of action.
“Sakurazaka-san did it.”
“What do you mean?”
“I mean exactly what I said. She broke the window glass and entered my place. Didn’t you find it odd that she’s here so early in the morning?”
I tell her plainly, without sugarcoating it, just the facts.
Uzuki abruptly stops her cooking and a look of turmoil crosses her eyes.
“Wait, are you joking? That’s a bad joke, Aniki.”
“It’s the truth.”
“She broke the window to enter? But that’s—”
It’s unbelievable, but the shattered window glass is proof enough.
That fact helps Uzuki understand.
“Then why haven’t you kicked her out? This is trespassing. Have you considered calling the police?”
I did think about calling the police at one point.
However, in the end, I only used the threat and did not actually call the police.
The primary reason is that Sakurazaka-san possesses the power to turn back time.
I believed calling the police would prove fruitless.
Instead, I figured it would be more prudent to gather information.
However, I couldn’t mention the part about repeating the same day.
More accurately, I didn’t think she would believe such a story.
“I think you’re right. But Sakurazaka-san is a student from the same school, and I didn’t want to make a big deal out of it.”
“But Aniki, if what you’re saying is true—”
Uzuki’s voice trails off mid-sentence.
The living room door swings open with a click.
Then our gaze shifts to Sakurazaka-san.
She tilts her head in innocent curiosity, wearing a gentle smile.
“What were you two talking about?”
“It’s, it’s nothing,”
Uzuki quickly responds, shaking her head.
Sakurazaka-san seems satisfied with the answer, ‘Is that so?’ and heads to the kitchen.
“Oh, let me help. As part of my bride training, I’m quite good at cooking.”
“No, it’s okay. I can handle it by myself.”
“But—”
“Anyway, can’t you just go home now?”
“Why?”
She asks back with her pure, innocent eyes.
There’s no realization on her part as to why she’s being asked to leave. Her oblivious demeanor grates on Uzuki’s nerves.
I rise from the sofa and head to the kitchen, positioning myself between Uzuki and Sakurazaka-san.
“I told her how Sakurazaka-san entered our home.”
” ….. ”
Hearing my explanation, Sakurazaka-san remains silent.
Uzuki hides behind my back.
“Breaking through the window like that… It’s not normal…”
“What do you mean by ‘normal’?”
“Yes?”
“I’m sorry, Uzuki-chan. I just wanted to see Yu-kun so badly. I didn’t mean any harm. Really.”
Sakurazaka-san begins to explain herself.
But Uzuki isn’t one to be easily swayed by such a simple explanation.
My sister isn’t naive.
She won’t be moved by such emotional arguments.
“That doesn’t justify what you did. Please, go home. And don’t approach Aniki ever again…”
Uzuki grips my back.
I could feel her hand trembling.
For me, today is the sixth Friday.
From the past five times, I’ve somewhat come to understand Sakurazaka-san.
I also knew that she wasn’t quite like other girls, that she had a few screws loose, so to speak.
So, although I was surprised when I found Sakurazaka-san in my room, it didn’t take me long to grasp the situation.
But Uzuki is different. This is her first encounter with Sakurazaka-san.
Knowing that this girl, who has feelings for me, attempted to trespass, there’s no way she could accept her presence.
“Oh no… I thought I could get along with Uzuki-chan…”
“….!”
Uzuki’s grip on my clothes tightens.
“It’s because I broke the window to get in, right?”
“What are you talking about? Of course it is!”
“I’m sorry for scaring you. I’ll leave this time…See you, Uzuki-chan. And you too, Yu-kun.”
Sakurazaka-san turns on her heel and gracefully exits the living room.
‘This time’… huh? That implied there would be a seventh Friday.
A heavy pressure settles on my shoulders.
“A-Aniki… She’s not normal! Why didn’t you tell me about the window sooner?”
Uzuki, still gripping my clothes, says with a heightened tone.
“Sorry. Missed the right moment to say it.”
“It’s not too late now. We need to call the police.”
“No, even if we do—”
“What are you saying? She’s clearly a stalker obsessed with you, Aniki. If we leave her be, who knows what she’ll do!”
I don’t see the need to call the police, especially if time is going to rewind again.
But that might just be because of my unique circumstances.
Maybe I’ve become desensitized to this situation.
Uzuki pulls out her phone and reports to the police.
Later, when the police arrived, I provided them with information about Sakurazaka-san (her name and that she attends the same school).
——However, they couldn’t locate her.
For the record, there was no further contact with Sakurazaka-san that day.
