After the Lord of the Abyss Awakens - Chapter 101.1
“So you turned into a cat because of Big Brother!”
Gusin suddenly realized, but then felt something was off and asked strangely, “Why didn’t you turn into a tiger?”
Aelioge seemed to have anticipated Gusin would say this, and sneered, “Because I focus on differentiated competition.”
Gusin: “…” What?
Differentiation, as in being different from tigers?
Gusin was speechless. Although He knew this brother had unique thought processes, He didn’t expect it to be to this degree – there was definitely something wrong with Him.
Aelioge insisted adamantly, “To win, you can’t imitate, you must forge your own path.”
As He spoke, Aelioge suddenly became agitated and exclaimed, “But I never expected They would steal my idea and all turn into cats!”
The air froze subtly for a moment.
“You…”
Gusin was dumbfounded, completely unable to follow Aelioge’s train of thought.
The other four demons wore expressions that said “Here He goes again.”
Although Aelioge was intelligent, He was very childish when it came to matters involving their father, competing over some truly ridiculous things.
However, Gusin got over it quickly and said with a smile, “Anyway, take me back to see Father.”
After speaking, He gently turned His gaze toward Bachin, who was seriously taking notes.
Bachin’s dark circles were still heavy, His complexion somewhat ashen, His thin eyebrows furrowed deeply, emanating an almost deathly immortal aura.
Gusin stepped forward, hands behind His back, and said with a smile, “Brother Bachin, let’s go back.”
Hearing this, Bachin stopped writing, slowly raised His head, and fixed His gaze on Gusin’s eyes.
Finding this brother who wandered all over the world was truly not an easy task. Who would come to stay in these remote desert dunes – had He become fascinated with desert scenery?
However, seeing no reaction from Bachin, Gusin tilted His head slightly, His eyelids lowering.
He spoke again, His voice carrying a hint of teasing, “Bro~ther~ Ba~chin~, did you hear~ what I said?”
Bachin’s face instantly darkened – Gusin was still speaking in His old way.
Gusin: “Pay attention to me?”
Bachin asked unhurriedly, “Let’s not talk about leaving yet. Brother Gusin, why did you come here? Why have you been running around the universe all these years?”
His sudden question startled Valefor and Aelioge.
It also drew the attention of Buer and Marbas.
Finding Gusin hadn’t been easy – this guy had almost run to the edge of the universe. If it weren’t for Bachin being the master of information organization, along with Aelioge’s precise thinking and Valefor’s keen judgment, They probably wouldn’t have found Gusin yet – it would have taken at least a year or two.
The universe constantly displayed its vastness, with spatial distance as the greatest obstacle, preventing countless civilizations from contact and communication.
In this sense, Bachin, who possessed the authority [Space], was like a fish in water in the universe. Civilizations that believed in Him and received His protection could better develop themselves. Because of this, Bachin had become an almost unspeakably great existence in the near-continental universe.
Seeing that Gusin hadn’t immediately answered, Bachin stared at His eyes.
Gusin wore an intrigued expression, His gaze calm and gentle, seemingly empty yet not.
The slow response made them wonder if His reaction time was delayed.
They watched as Gusin stroked His chin, assuming a thinker’s pose, and actually asked Himself. “Yeah, why am I here?”
All five demons froze.
A vein bulged on Bachin’s forehead as He barely restrained Himself from raising His fist.
You came here yourself and now you’re asking us?
Aelioge thought, here we go again, you demon with the extremely long reaction time.
Under the fierce gazes of the five demons, Gusin scratched His face, seeming a bit embarrassed, and said, “Let me think about it.”
And so, the five demons waited for three hours.
How had He still not remembered?
Aelioge’s face was covered in black lines, nearly exploding from waiting, His demonic power overflowing, with the authority [Plague] visibly appearing on His exposed arms.
Bachin had also grown impatient, turning to play mahjong with Buer, Valefor, and Morax.
Of course, mahjong was Valefor’s suggestion.
Valefor drew some tiles and shook Her head, saying, “Look at eleventh brother, when His demonic power is sufficient He speaks quickly, but when it’s insufficient His true nature shows, and His reactions become very slow.”
Buer rested Her arm on the table, propping Her chin up, and said, “Brother Gusin is still His old self.”
After speaking, She made another move against Morax.
Morax’s arm froze in mid-air – He had been cornered by the three demons, and His expression couldn’t have been worse.
Was it necessary to be so serious about a simple game of mahjong?
Bachin glanced at Gusin from the corner of His eye and found that this guy had almost turned into a statue, His gaze empty – He didn’t look like He was thinking at all, but rather like He was dead asleep.
Aelioge couldn’t help but say to Gusin, “Are you done yet?”
Gusin didn’t move a muscle, His gaze unwavering, and after a long while replied, “Don’t disturb me, I’m thinking.”
Thinking about what!
Aelioge told Himself that Gusin was searching His memory palace and needed to wait patiently.
However, after another three hours passed, Gusin had actually closed His eyes, His breathing even and steady, His head slightly drooping.
This guy was clearly just sleeping!
Aelioge finally couldn’t bear it anymore and loudly asked, “Are you done yet or not!”
His tone revealed obvious impatience.
But Gusin seemed not to hear, keeping His eyes closed and saying faintly, “Wait a little longer.”
Aelioge was about to explode.
Usually calm, He seemed somewhat agitated, perhaps due to the “impending crisis,” even more restless than Morax.
Though it was Bachin who had asked the question, He was more concerned about it.
Buer shook Her head, thinking, Brother Aelioge, stop struggling and just face reality.
Fortunately, Bachin stood up and said to Gusin, “Gusin, let’s forget it, stop thinking for now.”
After a moment of silence, Gusin still said, “Don’t disturb me, I’m thinking.”
You’re just a repeating machine!!
Pretending to be forgetful like Lelagin, but you’re actually forgetful, aren’t you?
Bachin was also about to lose it and shouted, “Enough! Can we just pretend I never asked?”
But Gusin looked serious and stubbornly said, “That won’t do, I’m Gusin who answers every question asked.”
That was just our joke about you, and you took it seriously?
Bachin and Aelioge’s faces darkened identically.
In contrast, Valefor and Buer in the back were like mere spectators, appearing particularly calm.
Buer blinked and actually started eating melon seeds, turning to ask Valefor, “Sixth Sister, how should we handle the situation over there?”
Valefor elegantly raised Her teacup, taking a small sip of red tea, Her gaze calm as water. “This happens often, just ignore them.”
Hearing this, Buer turned Her gaze aside and said somewhat boredly, “But I want to go home.”
Valefor smiled, “No rush, take it slow.”
At this point, Morax interjected, “I just looked at the group chat, their previous speculation almost scared me to death.”
Valefor’s hand holding the teacup froze in mid-air, Her composed expression solidifying.
“Father is Second Brother’s dream – a universe-level magic constructed by Second Brother” – this theory was truly terrifying.
Fortunately, They quickly came to their senses afterward and rejected this absurd speculation, confirming that Father’s existence was undoubtedly real, otherwise They would have been confused for a long time.
Valefor’s gaze fell to the tea’s surface, looking at Her faint reflection, as if something was stuck in Her throat.
“It’s good the speculation was wrong. Our Second Brother is so powerful, how could He possibly create a memory to fool us? Since we found Him, it must be our real father!”
Morax let out a long sigh, still somewhat scared in His heart, grateful that He had quickly rid Himself of such absurd thoughts.
Buer’s mood fluctuated, and She fell silent.
At this point, Valefor put down Her teacup, slowly raised Her eyes, and said to them. “However, there are still suspicious points.”
Buer paused, instinctively asking. “What suspicious points?”
Valefor said gravely, “The suspicious point is, why was it necessary to use universe-level magic to find Father?”
Her words not only stunned Buer and Morax but also attracted the attention of Aelioge, Bachin, and Gusin who were arguing nearby.
The air seemed to freeze, falling into a brief silence.
Sixth Sister was right.
This was indeed something hard to imagine.
After all, what was the concept of universe-level magic? Simply put, it referred to magic powerful enough to cover the entire universe. While proposed as a concept, its specific content and details remained quite vague. It had gradually evolved and expanded from regional magic concepts like “continental-level magic” and “planetary-level magic.”
In the imagination of most human civilizations, universe-level magic remained an unattainable hypothesis.
Until now, no human had ever truly achieved the magical feat of covering the entire universe.
For other alien races, universe-level magic was equally an unreachable domain.
Designing universe-level magic itself was already a huge challenge, and implementing it was even more difficult. Its structure and operating principles were unimaginably complex – just conceptualizing the framework of such magic would exhaust the mental capacity of countless intelligent beings.
An ordinary ten-thousand-year civilization, even if they devoted their entire civilization’s power and mobilized the wisdom of all intelligent beings, might not be able to conceive the complete form of universe-level magic.
Therefore, universe-level magic, in some sense, was more like an unreachable dream, a miracle that existed in theory but was difficult to realize in reality.
Why was such powerful magic needed to find father?
Was Father’s location too hidden, or was Father’s existence too special, or was there some other reason?
Valefor recalled something else. Legend had it that the elves once had an ancient conception of universe-level magic.
But this conception had almost nothing to do with the task of “finding someone” – its core effect aimed to enhance the “certainty” of the entire universe.
So Agares probably hadn’t used the elves’ universe-level magic conception, but rather conceived it Himself.
Yet conception was ultimately just conception – whether it could truly be realized was another matter.
Valefor could hardly imagine what price needed to be paid behind this, and how much effort needed to be devoted.
As various pieces of intelligence accumulated, Valefor gradually understood many things, and the doubts in Her heart were resolved. However, She couldn’t help but complain. Although Her Second Brother Agares thought about many things and acted decisively, He rarely shared with His siblings.
The reason Agares sought out Lelagin was probably only because He needed Lelagin’s memories. Without this need, He might have solved all problems alone from beginning to end.
Second brother Agares was too capable, to the point where He almost didn’t need to rely on His siblings’ help.
Or rather, other demons would only slow Him down.
Valefor frowned slightly, feeling somewhat helpless.
Second Brother had found Father by His own power – what could They say about such a second brother?
Many thoughts flashed through the six demons’ minds, their mood somewhat heavy.
Because this also meant that Second Brother had borne many burdens They couldn’t imagine.
Behind any greatness lay a path of thorns.

A few minutes later, Gusin seemed to finally remember something. An ahoge stood up on His head, His eyes lit up, and He exclaimed in surprise. “Oh oh, I remember why I’m here!”
Aelioge immediately said, “Quick, tell us.”
Even a demon’s patience had limits!
Bachin also perked up.
Gusin wore a smile, looking compliant, and said casually, “Take it slow, it’s really nothing. I just happened to come here, and the scenery here is nice, plus there aren’t any annoying thinking beings disturbing me. Don’t you think it’s quite comfortable here?”
Just that simple?
Aelioge and Bachin were both stunned at the same time.
And what was so great about this place? This was a desert! They weren’t like Zepar who enjoyed living in the wilderness.
As if Gusin hadn’t heard their thoughts, he continued speaking enthusiastically. “Traveling is so wonderful, I’ve experienced countless magnificent and beautiful scenes. I really want my father to see these too. Oh right, I also have a series of photography works. You might not believe it, but these works are very well-received in the human world.”
Aelioge was a bit speechless.
This guy had started talking to himself again.
He was reclusive when alone, but once He started talking about His interests, He became unstoppable, excited, and wouldn’t stop talking.
Only Beleth and Gusin had topics to discuss, other demons couldn’t stand His chattering.
Valefor felt a bit helpless and said to Bachin. “Forget it, once Gusin starts talking, He won’t stop. Let’s prepare to head back.”
Gusin stopped abruptly, looking at Valefor like a wronged puppy, as if saying, Sixth Sister, why so soon? I just started talking.
Valefor turned to look at Him once, “We have important matters at hand.”
Gusin seemed to suddenly realize something.
And Bachin nodded, closed his eyes to sense something, then immediately frowned, as if encountering some magic.
Valefor immediately asked. “What’s wrong?”
Bachin was silent for a few seconds, then said coldly, “Something happened on the continent.”
Upon hearing this, the other four demons showed surprised expressions.
There was confusion in Gusin’s eyes.
Aelioge immediately asked. “What happened?”
Bachin’s pupils seemed to be covered with a layer of golden light, obviously using long-distance eye technique.
He traversed across vast distances, rapidly moving through space, finally stopping at a certain point near the continental universe, observing the planet’s situation.
“The planet has been tightly surrounded by the God of Chaos, without any gaps, sealed perfectly like a dumpling, not even a bird can fly in.”
Morax exclaimed. “So quickly?”
Bachin nodded, his tone grave. “Yes.”
After speaking, He raised His hand and waved, a beam of light flashed, and the projection of the continent appeared before all the demons’ eyes.
Where the continent was located had been completely devoured by chaos, like a vast black ocean.
There were no impurities, only pure black.
Regarding this, the six demons had different expressions – some grave, some confused, and some appeared calm.
Since Amon and the others left it unattended, the God of Chaos naturally infected that area.
Moreover, outside the area ravaged by the God of Chaos, there were two huge vortexes slowly rotating, which were obviously two other otherworld gods watching from the shadows, eyeing the situation covetously.
Bachin said, “The divine power of chaos has dominated that area, my powers cannot take effect.”
Valefor was shocked. “You can’t transport us back?”
Bachin nodded, saying calmly, “Yes, I set up many points on the continent to prevent various unexpected situations, but among the situations I assumed, the arrival of the God of Chaos wasn’t included. The divine body of Chaos will chaotify all powers, my powers cannot penetrate in, and the powers inside cannot penetrate out. So, we temporarily cannot return to the continent, unless we can traverse through chaos, or defeat chaos.”
Even Buer was dumbfounded, “Is Brother Amon really not going to do anything?”
Morax glanced at the updated information from the Cat Head Demon group, “Amon said He wants to see what the mastermind behind this wants to do.”
Valefor paused, “But the situation doesn’t look good now.”
Valefor turned to look at the somewhat absent-minded Aelioge and asked, “Fifteenth Brother, what do you think we should do?”
