Chapter 12: Intimate Contact

As Liu Suyan approached, Lu Qiwen’s body tensed up. He wondered if she was going to kick him or punch him.

But then, Lu Qiwen felt her arm wrap around his. The faint scent of orchids and musk filled the air, and the sensation from his arm made him question if he was dreaming.

In almost four years, this was the closest he had ever been to Liu Suyan. Of course, yesterday’s accidental touch didn’t count. They had never even held hands before.

Liu Suyan’s sudden intimate gesture left Lu Qiwen in a daze, which was completely understandable. If he hadn’t been stunned, it would have been strange.

Although Lu Qiwen didn’t admit it, he knew he had deep feelings for Liu Suyan. As a guy, he wasn’t lacking in courage, but her exquisite beauty always made him lose his nerve.

His unwavering feelings for Liu Suyan had kept him from dating casually like his friends, making him the subject of ridicule for still being a virgin.

Perhaps Liu Suyan also sensed Lu Qiwen’s unspoken feelings. Initially, she had approached him because of his miraculous pills, but over time, she couldn’t tell if it was for the pills or for him.

Yesterday, Lu Qiwen had accidentally touched her inappropriately. Though unintentional, it had left Liu Suyan feeling flustered and sleepless. She had come to school early, hoping to see him.

For some reason, she found herself holding his arm. Was it just to make him agree to her next request? She wasn’t sure, but she had no time to think as Lu Qiwen finally snapped out of his daze.

Lu Qiwen’s tense body gradually relaxed. He turned to look at her beautiful face, so close he could almost kiss it. Suppressing his excitement and nervousness, he asked calmly, “Teacher Suyan, is there something you need?”

Feeling his gaze linger on her lips, Liu Suyan felt a hint of joy but was slightly annoyed by his calm tone. “What, can’t I call you if I don’t need anything? Are you that busy? Or are you rushing off to sell more Shuiyun Pills?”

Lu Qiwen’s face turned red. How did she know about the Shuiyun Pills? Thankfully, he had given them a poetic name, so unless someone knew their exact effect, they wouldn’t guess they were aphrodisiacs.

Taking a deep breath, he asked, “How did you know about the Shuiyun Pills, Teacher Suyan?”

Liu Suyan’s face also turned red, not realizing how alluring her shy expression was. She had always thought Lu Qiwen only had Beauty Pills. But recently, a friend had mentioned the Shuiyun Pills.

The name sounded even more elegant than Beauty Pills, making Liu Suyan think they must be equally precious. She had planned to ask Lu Qiwen for some, but when she learned their true nature, she was mortified.

Seeing Lu Qiwen’s curious gaze, she felt embarrassed. She pinched his waist and said, “If you don’t want people to know, don’t do it. I can’t believe you sell those kinds of things.”

Lu Qiwen was surprised by her sudden pinch and her uncharacteristic behavior. The pain made him wince, but he managed to smile and say, “I didn’t expect you to know, Teacher Suyan. Are you interested in buying some Shuiyun Pills?”

Liu Suyan’s face turned even redder. She let go of his arm and glared at him, “You wish! I’d buy them for you to take.”

Realizing the ambiguity in her words, Liu Suyan didn’t notice, but Lu Qiwen did.

Seeing people starting to notice them, Lu Qiwen felt relieved that she had let go. He didn’t want to be the center of attention, even though he enjoyed her closeness.

Feeling a bit disappointed, he joked, “If you want to buy them for me, I’d be more than happy. But I don’t think I need them. Are you doubting my abilities, Teacher Suyan?”

“You… you pervert!”

Liu Suyan realized he was teasing her and didn’t know how to respond. Blushing, she called him a pervert.

Noticing the attention they were drawing, Lu Qiwen felt a surge of courage. He grabbed her hand and quickly led her out of the school.

It was the first time Liu Suyan had been led by Lu Qiwen. She instinctively tried to pull away, but Lu Qiwen held on tightly, not wanting to let go of her soft hand.
