- Chapter 194 - The Creepy Student Council President Who Stalks His Senpai (12) Nowhere to Hide, Senpai
Su Ci couldn’t quite understand why Min You was acting like she was heading into battle—wasn’t she just going to apply for a campus phone card?
“Relax. Madam Feng and Senior Feng are both very kind and easy to deal with. He has no reason to trick me.”
After soothing Min You, Su Ci followed the receptionist’s lead into a private elevator that took them straight to the seventh floor.
The floor was eerily quiet, so much so that it didn’t feel like an actual department was operating there.
The receptionist knocked, then pushed the door open.
Chu Junling sat behind his desk, propping up his chin with one hand, his gaze focused and intense. His thick lashes cast long shadows over his eyes, as deep as a still lake.
When he saw her, he curved his lips into a smile, his whole demeanor brightening.
“Senpai, did you come to practice cheek kisses with me?”
So this was what he meant by “very soon.”
Including lunch and a short nap, it had barely been three hours since they last saw each other.
Su Ci glanced at the nameplate on the door—Room 705. It was, in fact, his office. He must’ve given a heads-up, and the receptionist had simply misunderstood the purpose of her visit.
“Senior Feng asked me to come apply for a campus card.”
Chu Junling’s smile instantly dimmed. His molars clenched, and he ground out a few words through gritted teeth.
“Senior Feng? He has that much authority now?”
“Just by covering a bit of your tuition and fees, he gets to enjoy your trust and affectionate way of addressing him? What a smart, low-risk investment.”
“If I could sponsor you, I’d make sure your life was ten—no, a hundred times better than it is now. And I would never hold it over your head.”
He stood up and walked around the desk, guiding Su Ci to sit on the sofa. Then he knelt on one knee beside her legs, his upward gaze like a humble plea.
“Senpai, why don’t you give me a chance?”
Su Ci shook her head.
“That wouldn’t be appropriate.”
“See? You’re too kind.” He tilted his head, resting the side of his face gently against her well-proportioned thigh, just between the hem of her skirt and the top of her over-the-knee socks—a strip of flawless, glowing skin.
Hmm. Another little gift from Senpai.
He wanted to peel it all away.
“And just a trickle of money leaking through their fingers, and they expect someone as outstanding as you to serve their family like a workhorse for life. Truly heartless.”
Why only offer sponsorship to high-performing students?
Because they’d be placed into carefully selected jobs after graduation. What those civilians didn’t know was that the so-called “high salaries” were essentially slave wages compared to the value of the skills they contributed.
But if Senpai chose him, things would be different.
He didn’t care if she wasn’t a straight-A overachiever. He didn’t care if she spent all his money on luxury goods. He didn’t care if she tossed gold coins into the lake for fun.
As long as he was around, she could do whatever she wanted.
Even dating was fine.
So long as she was dating him.
His short, slightly bristly hair brushed against her thighs and tickled. Su Ci shifted her knees together, pressing her hands to the soft leather sofa.
“…Can you please stand up so we can talk?”
“Nope.” Chu Junling grinned like a spoiled brat, rubbing his cheek against the delicate skin of her leg.
“Senpai came to see me without proper etiquette, so I’m staying right here.”
Being shameless had its perks—Senpai was so soft.
He still hadn’t let go of this morning’s “missed” cheek kiss.
Calling Feng Jiran “Senior Feng” now? What, was she only willing to kiss people like him?
Su Ci couldn’t help but laugh. She gently pushed up with her legs, lifting his face a few centimeters.
“How am I supposed to kiss you like this?”
As her skirt rode up from the movement, more of her smooth, pale skin was revealed. Chu Junling’s gaze darkened, and he reached out to straighten the fabric she’d accidentally lifted.
“Alright, don’t move. I’ll get up.”
He really couldn’t take it anymore.
She was seductive without even knowing it.
And he was no gentleman.
Compared to his mood earlier that morning, he now wore a faint smile, the tips of his ears slightly red. When he bowed his head obediently, he looked like a well-behaved pup.
“Okay, Senpai. Be gentle with me.”
Su Ci had been leaning in to kiss him, but those unexpected words completely threw off her balance.
“Careful.”
Chu Junling quickly steadied her, his face calm and composed—utterly free of indecency or mischief.
“Did I scare you, Senpai? Sorry. It’s just… no one’s ever shown me the kind of respect and understanding you have. Most people just run from me.”
“You won’t avoid me like that, right?”
His voice was filled with uncertainty, lashes fluttering like wings. It was the perfect disguise.
A part of him even wanted her to be like everyone else—to discover his true nature and look at him with undisguised disgust, hatred, and disdain.
That way, he wouldn’t have to pretend anymore. He could stop trying to be the “good boy” and simply follow his darkest instincts—lock her up, keep her close.
So she’d have nowhere to run. Nowhere to hide.
He was scared she’d find out—and terrified she wouldn’t.
Su Ci didn’t respond verbally. Instead, she leaned in again. His eyes widened in startled disbelief as her soft lips landed on his cheek with a faint kiss—just like how he’d taught her that morning.
The sound was soft and ambiguous, making the air feel thick with heat.
Just as she was about to kiss the other side, Chu Junling finally seemed to process what had happened. He leaned in, brushing his lips past the tip of her nose, his handsome features drawing closer.
“Only you don’t mind me.”
As he reached out to hug her, he subtly tilted his head to the side, angling his cheek just right so that her lips brushed against it—just enough to steal a dragonfly-light kiss.
Nose and lips both had been grazed. Su Ci blinked, momentarily dazed, as he clung to her like an oversized teddy bear.
The clock ticked quietly in the background.
After about five minutes, he reluctantly let go and modestly shifted to another sofa.
With long fingers, he pulled open a drawer in the coffee table and retrieved a beautifully packaged gift box.
“Here’s what you came for. Next time you need anything, don’t go to Feng Jiran. If he can handle it, I can too. And if he can’t, I’ll make it happen for you anyway.”
Su Ci opened the box.
Inside was a sleek, black-gold SIM card—along with a matching phone, earbuds, speaker, and tablet.
No wonder Feng Jiran had been so proactive about promoting the campus card earlier.
She couldn’t help but smile.
“Thank you.”
Chu Junling raised an eyebrow.
“That’s it? Just ‘thank you’? Senpai, that’s so unfair. I did all the work, but he gets all the credit. I’m really not okay with this.”
Su Ci: “???”
She couldn’t recall ever giving Feng Jiran anything.
At most, she’d only mentioned him once earlier in passing—before this guy started acting all passive-aggressive about it.
“You said you wouldn’t hold it over me.”
Chu Junling scrunched up his face in frustration. But his features were just too exquisite—no matter how much he pouted or grimaced, he still radiated an unshakable air of refined nobility.
“I can let it go. But you can’t. Especially if…”
He paused.
“…if you give it to someone else, but not to me.”
“Give what?”
“That’s a secret. Think about it, Senpai. Even if I asked you for it and got it, I still wouldn’t be happy.”
