Chapter 429: Flesh and Blood Earth
With a wave of his hand, Malcolm conjured two massive bone spears beside him.
The spears formed swiftly, hurtling toward Helag at high speed.
Helag vanished in a flash of electricity, narrowly avoiding the spears that embedded deeply into the ground.
Had they struck, Helag doubted his Power of the Titan armor could withstand them.
The spears’ speed surprised Helag; even with his enhanced speed, he barely evaded them.
In his normal form, dodging would have been nearly impossible.
Malcolm observed the missed spears and Helag’s crackling electricity, pondering something.
Helag focused, enlarging the Storm Giant Shield on his left arm.
Electricity intensified around him, channeling power into his right fist.
He was no longer the person who had to flee.
Sensing Helag’s aura, Malcolm’s expression grew serious.
Helag vanished silently, without a trace.
A loud crack resounded behind Malcolm, the sound of a fist slicing through the air at high speed.
Malcolm realized too late; Helag was too fast.
Though he sensed the attack just before it landed, he had no time to react.
No time to move or channel magic.
Helag’s massive form appeared behind Malcolm, his electrified fist striking Malcolm’s neck with immense force.
The fist punched through Malcolm’s neck, his head rolling to the ground.
Helag had controlled his strength to preserve Malcolm’s head.
Otherwise, the surrounding body would have been pulverized.
Malcolm’s headless body collapsed, blood pooling, filling the air with a metallic scent.
Helag scrutinized the body, remaining vigilant.
After observing for anomalies, Helag prepared to strike again, planning to incinerate the body with a fireball.
Suddenly, the headless body transformed into a mass of flesh, coalescing into a humanoid form.
As the face became clear, Helag recognized Malcolm.
Malcolm reformed, covered in blood-red skin, saying, “Well done, you cost me a life. Without the Heart of Fear, I’d be dead.”
“Heart of Fear…”
Helag guessed it was a magical tool similar to a substitute puppet.
With blood-red skin, Malcolm’s aura surged, magic power soaring.
In moments, his aura surpassed a typical crystallized wizard.
Helag sensed it rivaled a second-level wizard.
Malcolm’s feet touched the ground, turning it blood-red.
The ground transformed into pulsating flesh.
“Turning earth to flesh, what spell is this?” Helag wondered, seeing the expanding blood-red ground.
Uncertain of the spell’s purpose, Helag knew he couldn’t let it continue unchecked.
He charged at Malcolm.
Malcolm unleashed bone spears and blood-red claws to hinder Helag.
But Helag’s speed was unmatched, his large form agile, weaving through the attacks.
In a blink, Helag was before Malcolm, his massive fist targeting Malcolm’s head.
With blood-red skin, Malcolm’s speed and strength had increased.
Yet, he couldn’t evade Helag’s punch; their speeds were worlds apart.
Helag’s fist struck, shattering Malcolm’s body into bloody fragments.
This time, Helag held nothing back, not intending to spare Malcolm’s head.
For someone as troublesome as Malcolm, Helag aimed for total annihilation, leaving no chance.
Despite pulverizing Malcolm, Helag frowned, sensing Malcolm wasn’t dead.
He glanced at the expanding flesh ground, pulsating rhythmically.
Malcolm’s voice echoed from the ground, “You can’t kill me. This battle was decided from the start; you’ll lose. You can kill a man, but not the earth.”
Malcolm’s voice brimmed with pride; the flesh ground was another of his creations.
Helag studied the flesh ground, spanning 2,000 square meters, 70-80 meters deep.
The flesh seemed part of Malcolm, infused with magic.
Helag concluded that to kill Malcolm, he must destroy every bit of flesh.
Raising his fist, Helag struck the ground with force.
The flesh absorbed much of the impact, but a large crater formed.
Helag observed the crater, noting the shattered flesh reabsorbing into the ground, restoring itself.
Even pulverized flesh rejoined the earth.
Helag understood why Malcolm claimed invincibility; unless all flesh vanished at once, Malcolm couldn’t die.
As Helag pondered, countless bone spears and blood claws formed, numbering over a hundred.
