You Plan To Kill Me With Meng? - Chapter 49.4 - Prairie Lions Alliance (04)
In the territory of the leopard, whose nature was uncertain—whether an angel or a lunatic—Qiao Qixi’s family encountered their first potential prey: a wild boar. It appeared to be a male, with long tusks and a rather irritable temperament.
If it weren’t absolutely necessary, Qiao Qixi generally wouldn’t target wild boars. It wasn’t because the boar’s tusks were particularly sharp—he wasn’t afraid of the low-intelligence wild boar.
Qiao Qixi avoided hunting wild boars mainly because wild boars had too much fatty meat.
He simply didn’t like eating fatty meat.
Just because he doesn’t like eating this type of meat doesn’t mean the young lions don’t like it.
The drooping young lions, so hungry that they didn’t want to move, only stared at the wild boar in the distance, swallowing saliva, their eyes revealing a longing for food.
“Aw…” Miantuan let out a cry.
Next are his other brothers.
They cried so pitifully that it broke the listeners’ hearts. Qiao Qixi quickly went around and licked each of them, telling them not to cry: ‘Alright, alright, I’ll go hunting for you right now.’
Then today we have to eat wild boar without doubt.
Fortunately, Qiao Qixi has special techniques for killing wild boars.
When Qiao Qixi was still human, during his travels in Northeast China, he once met an experienced hunter who told him that the fatal spot on a wild boar is just above the area between its eyes.
A strong hunter can kill a wild boar with a single strike using a stick.
Secondly, if you injure the boar’s eyes, it will run around in a frenzy until it gets too tired, to the point of losing its combat power.
Every time Qiao Qixi….. well, not many times, when he hunts wild boars, he usually injures their eyes and then waits nearby.
This time, there were five more fluffy balls waiting with him, all sitting obediently nearby, watching intently with him.
Qiao Qixi felt quite distressed: “Sigh, actually, this is not the proper way for lions to hunt wild boars.”
After a lot of effort, Qiao Qixi’s family of six finally got to eat the wild boar. The leopard nearby appeared briefly but did not steal their prey.
Generally speaking, leopards disdain being thieves, and furthermore, wild boars, which have quite a strong odor, are not necessarily their preferred food.
The young lions don’t have the luxury to be picky about their food; having something to eat is already a great blessing for them. Each of them ate till their faces were fully smeared with blood.
Qiao Qixi : Does only one lion think that this male wild boar is very stinky?
Lao Da, Lao Er, Lao San, Lao Si, Lao Wu : It’s delicious.
T/N: “Lao” (老) – prefix to show affection and respect toward someone who is older or a close friend. Among close friends, it adds a touch of warmth and familiarity, like saying “Old buddy” or “Old pal” in English. ‘Da’ means big, here referring to eldest one in the bunch, Er – second, San – third, Si – Fourth, Wu – Fifth.
Qiao Qixi’s guess was not wrong. Lions that can eat even rotten meat don’t really mind this. However, leopards are picky and this one discovered that the subadult male lion was hunting prey that it was not interested in.
He then disdainfully walked away.
Unlike the cruel attitude of lions toward non-biological cubs, leopards, although not friendly toward their cubs, are not indifferent either; their behavior is more akin to a kind of friendliness.
